The name or term "Go" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Go (disambiguation).
Long-lost child of The Fallen and Blackbeard the Pirate.

Little is known about the ancient Swordbot Go Prime (ゴウプライム Gō Puraimu) beyond that he possesses the power of both the Samurai and the Ninja. He is referred to as a "sword master", and it was he who trained both the Swordbot Samurai Team and the Swordbot Shinobi Team. He possesses the ability to manipulate space-time, and is capable of appearing at any time or place. He can even use this power to transport the sparks of other Transformers across interstellar distances. While he can only fight for short periods of time due to overexposure to the Black Legendisc, his combat ability surpasses that of the other Swordbots.

In truth, Go Prime is a resident of the primeval Precursor World where he leads the Black Parade of the Primus Vanguard as Black Go Prime (ブラック聡明なる (ゴウ)元帥 (プライム), lit. "Wise Marshal Black"),[1] or occasionally Master Black Lion (マスター黒獅子 Masutā Kurojishi). His Black Legendisc is the Matrix of Black Star Power, his badge of office. His Mini-Con partner is Go.

  1. As with other Primus Vanguard officers, Black Go Prime's title is subject to a form of Japanese wordplay wherein "Wise Marshal" is written in Japanese text as Sōmeinaru Gensui (聡明なる元帥) but given the arbitrary foreign pronunciation "Go Prime" (ゴウプライム). See the Japanese language article for further details on how this works.
