The name or term "Ironhide" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Ironhide (disambiguation).
Ironhide is a Decepticon-allied Mini-Con from the Armada portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.

Ironhide is one sad, needy Mini-Con. She's lost just about everyone she cared about, from Mini-Con friends to her one-time Autobot partner. When she was captured by the Decepticon Terrorsaur, she gloomily accepted her fate.

But when the chance to free herself from the Decepticon's grip came about, she found herself even more depressed. Maybe it's Stockholm Syndrome, maybe it's just a clinging need for any kind of stability in her life, even the negative kind. But Ironhide actually has begun to want to return to Terrorsaur.

Alone is no way to live.

Ironhide is a redeco of the Armada Adventure Mini-Con Team member Dune Runner, transforming into a "sand rail" dune buggy with top-mounted artillery cannon. As a Mini-Con, she has a "Powerlinx" socket on her vehicle-mode underside (which ends up on the back of her head in robot mode) which allows her to attach to any toy with a "Powerlinx" style 5 mm post; some toys have special Powerlinx posts that activate/unlock gimmicks when a Mini-Con is attached. The gear-wheel mechanism in her torso makes the barrel of the cannon move back and forth when its vehicle mode is rolled along, or when hooked up to the gear mechanism of the Armada Cyclonus mold.
Ironhide was available only as a partner to Terrorsaur.
As a hasty addition to the Armada toyline to meet demand, Terrorsaur was not available in Takara's normal retail Legend of the Microns line. He was, however, offered in Japan as a "USA Edition" release, exclusive to JUSCO stores.
This mold was also used to make Crunch and Kobushi.
