Alaska

Alaska is one of the fifty states that make up the United States of America. Unlike most of them, however, Alaska isn't connected to the rest of the country—it neighbors the northwestern reaches of Canada, separated from the eastern coast of Russia by a relatively small strait.

It is the largest state in the country (sorry Texas!) Like Canada, it's really cold.

Alaska appeared exclusively in the UK portion of the Marvel Comics continuity.

Hoist was searching for a hidden Constructicon base in the Alaskan wilderness when he got stuck in an abandoned human mine shaft. The desolate landscape only served to put increasing stress on his savior Jazz, who had his logic circuits damaged by the Constructicons upon arrival to boot. Hoist was forced to practically drag his confused friend through the Alaskan woods until they reached a dammed-up river. Devastator ended up destroying the dam, allowing Hoist and Jazz to escape using the flowing river. The Mission

The Decepticons invaded Alaska in force to steal its oil, with the Autobots mobilising to counter them. The battle was going in the Autobot's favour and they had the enemy surrounded, until Quickmix accidentally shot an Autobot Minibot. In the confusion, the Decepticons were able to withdraw. Dreamwave Generation One continuity

Optimus Prime and the Autobots were drawn to an unidentified part of the Alaskan shoreline due to the presence of a mysterious Autobot ship. They were then ambushed by Megatron and the Decepticons, who were then shocked by the emergence of Scourge from the Autobot ship, who were then defeated soundly by Shockwave and his united Cybertronians. When the Mini-Con base on the moon went up in flames, Inferno, Comettor, and the Street Speed Mini-Con Team fled in an escape pod that crashed somewhere in Alaska. Fire & Ice

On their way to investigate an anomaly in the Arctic, Coby, Bud and Lori stopped off in Fairbanks, Alaska to pick up some winter clothes. There, they ran into Lucy Suzuki, who offered to pay for their snow gear and gave them a lift the rest of the way. Ice Suzuki later continued on her own into northern Alaska, where she and her team located the frozen Crosswise. Transformers (PS2)

During the Autobots' hunt for Mini-Cons, they found Aurora, Bulletproof, Discord, Kickback, and Highjump in the frozen wastelands of Alaska. A Decepticon base was set up there, and had drones dig through the mountains in search for those Mini-Cons. When he spotted an Autobot snooping about, Starscream tried to ram him with his ship, but only ended up crashing it into the mountain, dangling over a cliff. A battle between Starscream and the Autobot later caused the ship to slip off the cliff and crash deep into the icy ground below. Transformers
