In July, 2009, IDW Publishing continued their quest of reprinting old issues of Marvel's original G1 comic in full-color trade paperback omnibuses. Volume 4 sports issues 47 to 61. Unlike previous editions, this volume has no issues that required text summaries due to copyrighted characters.

This edition also contains a "character gallery" which reprints character profile pages that were included at the end of these comics.
