Hailing from the Infernac Universe, the Armorizers are a group of living rocks with the ability to transform.
Are they good? Evil? Neutral? What are their goals? Who are they? Who knows?
Known Armorizers include:
- Bouldercrash (red tricycle)—a lava creature.
- Magneous (black car)—an obsidian warrior.
- Shard (helicopter)—a being made from pure death crystal.
- Nucleous (jet-powered car)—a toxic nucleon elemental.
- Geocron (purple tricycle)—a rock creture.[sic]
- Calcitron (blue car)—an energon-infused member of the Star Raiders.
Toys
[edit]
- Infernac Universe Bouldercrash (Core Class, 2024)
- Known designers: Mark Maher and Evan Brooks (Hasbro), Takio Ejima (TakaraTomy){{#if: |, {{{2}}}}}
- The Legacy: United Armorizers are the successors to the Junkions released in Legacy: Evolution, being toys that split into armor and weapon pieces for other toys, but not having to split apart to transform between robot and alternate modes as previous sub-groups with similar "turn into accessories for other toys" had to.
- While Magneous, Shard, and Nucleous inherit the Weaponizers', Fossilizers', and Junkions' abilities to be split apart to form armor and weapons, Bouldercrash and Geocron are more akin to the smaller partner figures of Legends Class toys from Thrilling 30, triple-changing from robot to vehicle to weapon for bigger figures to wield.
Notes
[edit]- The Armorizers take inspiration from both Daira's rocky inhabitants as seen in the Headmasters episode "My Friend Sixshot!", and the Rock Lords of GoBots fame.<ref>{{#if: |""—|}}{{#if: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8kPFTS6hEM |Mark Maher|Mark Maher}}{{#if: YouTube |, YouTube|}}{{#if: Hasbro Pulse Con 2023 |, "Hasbro Pulse Con 2023"|}}{{#if: 2023 |, 2023{{#if: 09 |/{{#switch:{{#len:09}}|1=009|09}}{{#if: 22|/{{#switch:{{#len:22}}|1=022|22}}|}}}}|}}{{#if: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8kPFTS6hEM ||}}{{#switch:{{#sub:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8kPFTS6hEM%7C7%7C11}}%7Cweb.archive= (archive link)|}}{{#switch:{{#sub:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8kPFTS6hEM%7C8%7C11}}%7Cweb.archive= (archive link)|}}{{#switch:{{#sub:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8kPFTS6hEM%7C7%7C10}}%7Carchive.is= (archive link)|}}{{#switch:{{#sub:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8kPFTS6hEM%7C8%7C10}}%7Carchive.is= (archive link)|}}{{#if: | (dead link)}}</ref>
- While next to no information is provided on Armorizer physiology (or basically anything else about them that's not a direct toy feature), species creator Mark Maher notes that they are definitely not sparked in the vein of traditional Transformers, and the design team tended towards concave torsos to illustrate this.<ref>April 25, 2024's Hasbro Pulse Transformers Fanstream|April 2024 on YouTube, with Ben MacCrae, Mark Maher, and Evan Brooks.</ref>
