G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers
Courtney Krieger was part of the United States military when Cobra first revealed themselves and attacked Washington, D.C. with their giant robots. She charged in with her Wolverine missile tank and offered a lift to the trooper known as "Snake-Eyes", but the vehicle was blown to bits by Starscream. Krieger was unhurt, but was horrified to see what the attack had done to Snake-Eyes's face. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers #1 After G.I. Joe was created to counter the threat of Cobra, Krieger joined them and took on the codename Cover Girl. During the Joes' mission to defend the SPS Research Facility, she ordered Bumblebee to give himself up. When the robot didn't cooperate, Cover Girl opened fire on him, to little effect. Sci-Fi told her to cut it out since Bumblebee appeared to be a good guy. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers #3
Two years later, Cover Girl was part of a team of Joes sent to stop Cobra from experimenting with teleportation technology in Boston. Unfortunately, Cobra's wormhole computer malfunctioned, sending everyone present to Cybertron. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers II #1 After a while, they were attacked by Shockwave's troops and forced to hide. Cover Girl ended up having to look at someone's terrible burn scars a second time, as Storm Shadow's back had been badly burnt by Decepticon lasers. She bonded with the ninja whilst attending to his wounds, and once the Decepticons had been taken care of, the two exchanged some loving glances before returning to Earth. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers II #4
When Serpent O.R. took control of the remaining Decepticons, Cover Girl was amongst the G.I. Joes sent to Cybertron to fight them. Together with the Autobots, they defeated the Decepticon army, and Cover Girl arrived in Serpent O.R.'s headquarters just in time to blast a hole through Hun-Gurrr before he killed Optimus Prime. The Art of War #5 Some time later, she traveled to Tibet to aid Flint and Hawk in the fight against Cobra-La. Black Horizon, Part 2 of 2
Transformers/G.I. Joe
Cover Girl was among the new G.I. Joe recruits finishing up Spirit's wilderness survival and recon training in 1985. Following their training, Spirit took Cover Girl, Barbecue and Alpine with him to secure a crash site near Mount St. Hilary. At the site, they met with another squad led by Flint, although Cover Girl initially mistook them for Cobra soldiers. She was then gawked at by Bazooka, which didn't please her in the least.
Soon, the Joes found Cobra troopers attempting to steal something from the crash site. Cover Girl attempted to shoot down their F.A.N.G. helicopters, but they turned out to be bulletproof. They eventually managed to stop Cobra, and learned that they had had been trying to haul away two alien robots. After heading to G.I. Joe HQ, Cover Girl was gawked at by Shipwreck, but didn't seem to notice. Targets of Opportunity
Transformers vs. G.I. Joe
After G.I. Joe met with representatives from the planet Cybertron and found them to be enemies of the Earth, Cover Girl was among the operatives sent to the metal sphere to invade it. I Saw Three Ships
The Joes began their attack on Cybertron by sending down "green bombs" from the air. But when they targeted the mobile city of Trypticon, they found it protected by a forcefield. Their attempt to bomb it provoked a counter-attack from the Decepticons, with Devastator tearing up the portion of the Defiant housing Cover Girl. She parachuted out of the craft, only to be captured by the Insecticons and brought to Megatron's throne room alongside Breaker, Jinx, Clutch, Brawn and Perceptor. The Autobots escaped thanks to Mirage coming back for his friends, and Brawn brought the humans along with him as they made a break for the Autobot city of Metroplex. Targetmasters
Cover Girl and the other captive Joes were presented to King Grimlock as P.O.W.s. Though Cover Girl threatened the Autobots by claiming they had weapons rigged to go off if harm came to them, Grimlock declared that he had no mercy for the off-worlders, and promptly dropped them in a pool filled with Sharkticons! Thankfully, another Autobot, Arcee, took mercy on the Joes, and tossed them their weapons to give them a fighting chance against the ravenous monsters. Cover Girl and the others succeeded in fending off the Sharkticons, and emerged from the pool. Funeral for a Friend
The four Joes then accompanied Grimlock and his soldiers to Green Zone 0-8-6 aboard Metroplex. Finding Autobots and Joes readying to fight one another there, Grimlock announced a truce and both factions partied together to cement their alliance. Form Follows Function After the Joes set up base camp within Metroplex, Stalker confided in Cover Girl that he still didn't feel entirely at ease with their new allies. She later rode on top of Slag alongside him when the Decepticobra alliance attacked the city. Everybody Hates Metroplex Once the enemy forces had been driven off, Bazooka showed Cover Girl, Duke, Brawn, Mirage, and Rodimus some elaborate scribbles he had created while in a mystical trance; a map to the chamber of Primus. The six of them were joined by Tripwire and followed the map to an underground chamber containing the face of the Transformers' creator-god... as well as Decepticobra guards!
