The Jointrons have an... interesting way of doing things.

Synopsis

Out in the forest, the DJ, Motorarm, and Gimlet are doing a cheerful dance through the wilderness, although Motorarm wonders if this is effective in finding the Predacons. DJ tells the beetle to just leave it to him—he has a plan. They run into Bighorn and Tasmania Kid, who are badmouthing the Jointrons. The trio excitedly tell their Maximal comrades that they have a plan to get the Predacons and require their temporary base... to party in. Annoyed, Kid and Bighorn leave the bugs behind, promising to help if they actually get in trouble. At the temporary base, Scuba goes off on patrol, leaving Apache and Diver inside the shuttle. The deputy commander is surprised when the Jointrons pop in, again declaring of a plan to catch the Predacons. At the Moon, Artemis and Moon can only prepare to be annoyed at whatever antics the Jointrons are up to.

Elsewhere, Thrust and Dirge lead Autostinger and Autocrasher to a site to construct a front-line base for the Predacons.

And to think, people used to worry that this show was racist.

The reveling Jointrons have redone the Maximal shuttle into a Mexican abode and forced Apache and Diver into theme-appropriate clothing; Apache has had enough and blows up on the three. DJ takes the opportunity to mess with the ships controls, threatening to deactivate the shields and leaving them open to Predacon attack. DJ boasts that they'll defeat the Predacons, which leads Apache to realize that this was their "plan" all along! Gimlet confirms his fears as he boasts that they'll lure in the Predacons and sets to messing with the controls along with Motorarm. Despite Apache and Diver trying to pull them away from the controls, DJ triggers a beam from the ship, alerting the nearby Predacons to their location. Dirge and Thrust decide to take the opportunity to show up Starscream.

In the shuttle, Apache blows up at the Jointrons again for disabling their defenses and revealing their location, but is soon interrupted by Lio Convoy calling in. NAVI begs the commander to come in and handle the situation, as Apache and Diver clearly can't. Thrust and Dirge break into the shuttle, holding all of the Maximals present at gunpoint. They hold the advantage, as their Autoroller partners are outside, with their weapons aimed at the ship's main tank. After boasting about the commendation they'll get from Galvatron over Starscream, the Combatrons try to ask the Maximals to fly the ship to the Galvaburg II, but Gimlet's quick thinking trashes the ship's flight controls and communications with his claw. Frustrated with this turn of events, Dirge and Thrust force Diver to be the handyman, under threat of bullet holes. As Diver gets to fixing the ship, DJ brings their Predacon captors some "superfine oil" and the Jointron trio get back to their dancing, which only serves to further anger Apache.

At the Galvaburg II, Galvatron wonders where Dirge and Thrust went off to, and Starscream flatters him in his superior leadership to Megastorm's.

The Jointrons continue their play, still serving the jets more oil, and Diver is again threateningly promoted to keep working on repairs. The Autorollers outside are starting to ponder just what's going on inside... while the hiding Lio Convoy watches. Bighorn and Tasmania Kid meet up with him, and the three try to figure out how to defuse the situation. Back inside, Dirge and Thrust start to feel the effects of the oil, and the Jointrons try to go outside, with the pretenses that they have to urinate in unison and bring oil to the Autorollers. Once outside, they distract the Autorollers with their dancing, and the Maximals in hiding take the opportunity to knock away the Predacons. The Jointrons combine into Tripledacus and send the Autorollers fleeing with his overwhelming power.

Inside, the two Combatrons are wondering how things are going as Diver announces that he's finished repairing the comms. They're in for the shock of their life when Lio Convoy reveals that the Autorollers have been chased away, and Diver pulls out a gun, putting the shoe on the other foot. The Jointrons take responsiblity for the captured Predacons, but their inability to contact Maximal Headquarters provides the distraction the jets need to fly off. Lio Convoy's troops are annoyed at the Jointrons' incompetence, but the three promise to capture them again and go off into the forest. Lio Convoy tries to give a positive opinion on them, noting that they're still seeking justice. Just in... different ways.

Artemis & Moon II Report

Artemis and Moon talk about the Jointrons, with Artemis wondering if they can ever find a way to protect the peace, but Moon says they're still quite strong when combined. As Tripledacus, they have the Triple Blaster, the Seven-Year Sword Missiles, and the Magma Horn. Artemis wants to see his attacks in action and Moon says there'll be plenty of fights with the Predacons to use them in. They speak of the Jointron's initial mission at planet Trius and how it's probably more peaceful now that they're stuck on Gaea instead. The Jointrons overhear this and threaten to practice their combined form's weapons on the pair, prompting the two to conclude the report.
