Synopsis

With the Unicron Battles over, the Autobots, Mini-Cons and their human allies have set to work restoring Cybertron, but scattered Decepticon troops remain at large, even with Galvatron gone. Jetfire, Cliffjumper, Refute and Stella Holley are working on some welding when they catch sight of a Seeker squadron flying overhead, seemingly in a hurry to reach the Wastelands. Unbeknown to Jetfire's party, that desolate region of Cybertron is now home to secret Decepticon base, where Predacon welcomes back Starscream's squad.

Skywarp announces that the Seekers' search for Mini-Con recruits was unsuccessful, and he and Thundercracker take offense when Starscream suggests they could try more persuasive enlistment methods. A full-blown row quickly erupts between the Seeker trio, with taunts flying about Starscream and Skywarp's former Mini-Con partners. Predacon attempts to defuse the situation, only for Jeftire to suddenly blast his way into the hideout!

Skywarp takes command of the situation, telling Starscream and Thundercracker to evacuate Predacon and his experiments, while he deals with the Autobot intruder. Although Skywarp's shoulder missiles have little effect on Jetfire, the Decepticon quickly gains the upper hand using his teleportation abilities, appearing behind the Autobot and getting him into an arm lock. However, as soon as his teammates have made their escape, Skywarp releases Jetfire and flees himself, but not before promising a rematch.

Later, Jetfire's team arrives to help pick over the abandoned hideout. The group are wondering why Skywarp fled while still having the upper hand when Stella turns over one of the cylinders left behind by Predacon, revealing animalistic claw marks...

The Terrorcons are coming!

Notes

  • Skid-Z being present while Side Burn is not is meant to hint that Side Burn may have been (forcibly) experimented on by Predacon, while Skid-Z was not. This is a call back to the Dreamwave bio for each where Skid-Z wanted to participate in Predacon's experiments but was incompatible. While Side Burn was compatible but unwilling.
  • Thunderclash's absence is intended to explain how there is another similar looking Minicon named Thunderclash paired with Ramjet. The idea being Skywarp left him during The Unicron Battles to later be paired with Ramjet by Unicron.
  • Stella Holley's inclusion is due to the author being a big fan of Hirofumi Ichikawa's work, in particular the Linkage comic book.
