Wears orange? Likes Hot Shot? Hmmmm.

Clocker likes Hot Shot whole bunches of lots. Maybe he, Side Swipe, and Ironhide should form a club. When he's not idolizing Hot Shot, he's spending time learning from or taking care of the ancient mechanoid Brakedown.

While being troubled by Ransack and Crumplezone, Clocker tried to protect the much older Brakedown. He was knocked over but eventually saved by Hot Shot. Space Afterwards he worried about Brakedown's condition until Red Alert provided his medical skills to salve the old racer's wounds. Clocker attempted to invite Hot Shot and Red Alert back to his home in gratitude for rescuing them, but overheard the Autobots saying they were from another planet. Hearing about their search for the Cyber Planet Key, he took them on a little tour of the planet at Brakedown's request. Atop Mount Stargaze, he pointed out the track where the planet's champion racer, Override, liked to hang out. If anyone on Velocitron knew something about a prize like the Cyber Planet Key, he informed them, it would be her. Clocker watched on the sidelines as Hot Shot and the evil Megatron raced with Override for information on the key and its connection to the Planet Cup Override possessed as champion of Speed Planet. Rush He later helped Hot Shot get ready for his race against Override. He announced the race's start and then went to watch it from the sidelines. Speed

Later Clocker helped Hot Shot ready himself for another race and watched as Hot Shot tested out his speed. Clocker warned Hot Shot not to go too fast, which was advice unheeded. Due to his increased speed, Hot Shot sped out of control. He was about to crash into the wall when Clocker used his Cyber Key Power to blast the wall open to save him. Time Despite Clocker's help, Hot Shot pushed himself too far in preparing himself for the Planet Cup. After Hot Shot's collapse, Clocker met his teammates, the newly arrived Optimus Prime, Vector Prime, and Landmine. Clocker watched after Hot Shot and helped Red Alert with his repairs. When Landmine started berating Hot Shot for making a mess of his mission, Clocker was quick to defend his friend. Little did he know that Landmine was simply trying to break Hot Shot out of an emotional funk he had fallen into. Clocker himself aided Hot Shot's emotional recovery by reminding him of the good he had done in coming to Speed Planet, and telling him that he considered the Autobot a hero for his noble deeds. Hot Shot came around, and Clocker joined the Autobots in the competition for the Planet Cup. Hero During the race he mostly hung back with Brakedown and the other Autobots as they ran interference for Hot Shot. Race

During the next heat, Clocker led the second group of racers as they reached a narrow stretch, until Ransack was able to pass him due to his small size. When Ransack then used his position to change the direction signs, Clocker fell for the deception and went the wrong way. As the race went on, he grew tired and tried to pace himself, but when Ransack and Crumplezone collapsed a tunnel in another of their cheating endeavors, Clocker, Red Alert, and Landmine stopped to help fight the fires and clear the rubble that resulted. As a consequence, Clocker did not cross the finish line, and did not move on to the next heat of the contest. Detour

They're Grrrrreat!

No longer part of the race, Clocker was content to watch Hot Shot participate in the next stage of the competition. Sand For the final heat, Clocker was excited that he could work as part of Hot Shot's pit crew. He kept Coby informed of Hot Shot's mechanical problems throughout the race. This helped lead Hot Shot to victory, leaving Clocker ecstatic. It doesn't explain why Red Alert was rubbing Clocker's head for luck, but to each their own. Champion

He did not travel back to Earth with the Autobots, but they knew that Clocker and Brakedown would help them out if they had to retreat to Velocitron. Retreat When Starscream entered Earth's Cyber Planet key into the Omega Lock, Clocker watched as the sky of Velocitron lit up with energy. Revelation

Clocker and Brakedown began looking for Velocitron's ancestral colony ship, the Ogygia. When they finally discovered it Override returned to Cybertron with it for the Autobots to be able to travel to Gigantion. Warp The two were later seen regarding the black hole with Dirt Boss, as Primus continued his efforts to hold back the expansion. City

As Galvatron claimed the power of the united Omega Lock, and the threat of the giant black hole reached its apex, Clocker and Brakedown joined Override and the entire population of Velocitron as Autobot warriors standing at Optimus Prime's side against the forces of evil. Homecoming In the battle that followed, Galvatron super-charged the few Decepticons who remained loyal to him. Clocker and the other Velocitron warriors were forced to compete against a giant-sized Crumplezone. End

Following the destruction of the black hole, Clocker and the other Velocitronians helped maintain the planetary thrusters which brought Jungle Planet back into its proper orbit. Unfinished Following another race for the championship of Speed Planet, Clocker remained behind on Velocitron with its new leader, Hot Shot, while Brakedown and Override joined the Space Bridge project. Cyber Key Code content

Clocker likes to hit the energon overdrive when going into sixth gear while racing, which seems to be a surefire way for him to cross the finish line first. Well, for most of him to cross the finish line first.

  • Clocker (Scout, 2005)
Part of the Speed Planet theme, Clocker transforms into a Cybertronic (Velocitronian?) open-topped race car, complete with driver's and passenger's seats (why?). Plugging a Cyber Planet Key into his rear assembly pops up a pair of thrusters with pull-out non-firing blaster barrels. This assembly becomes a hand-held weapon for robot mode. He also has a pair of removable side-pipes that can also be used as hand-weapons. He comes with a silver-bordered Speed Planet style Cyber Key; the Hasbro release has the Key Code "s129" stamped on its back.
The Hasbro and Takara versions of this toy go about two different ways of creating the same color layout. Where the Hasbro version is cast in orange and blue plastics and uses ample paint applications to make parts white, the Takara version is cast in mostly white plastics with some orange, which means his head, both arms and blaster-base use extensive paint to make them blue and orange. The Hasbro toy has a further difference, painting his side-pipes silver rather than the Takara version's unpainted white. Also, Hasbro includes an Autobot faction symbol on his hood that the Takara version does not include.
This mold was also used to make Cybertron Swerve and the live-action movie universe Clocker. It was also retooled for the Timelines versions of "Axalon Cheetor" and "Unit 2" Tigatron. It was also the model for the non-toy characters that make up the Maximal Command Security Force.
