The name or term "Skids" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Skids (disambiguation).
Skid-Z is a Decepticon-allied Mini-Con from the Armada portion of the Unicron Trilogy.
He wishes the Z could stand for Zebra.

Impressionable as a dollop of hot wax, Skid-Z was looking for acceptance and something to believe in when he stumbled onto the biomechanical cult formed by Predacon. Even though Skid-Z is unsuitable for the biomechanical conversion process (a severe disappointment to the Mini-Con), his zeal and combat ability have kept him in a high place as one of Predacon's partners.

This has actually put him at odds with Predacon's other Mini-Con partner, Side Burn, who is suitable for the grafting process, but has yet to undergo it. Jealous, angry and more and more unbalanced, there's no telling just what Skid-Z is capable of.[1]

The same mold is used by Servo, while a retooled version is used by Jack. The mold was slated to be released as Clocker in Energon, but was ultimately cancelled.
