The Golden Age (ゴールデンエイジ Gōruden Eiji) are a team of golden Transformers that support Primus in his pursuit to avert the dark future universe.

Starscream traveled to the distant future of the G1 World and conscripted the Space Pirate Seacons into the Golden Age's service via the kidnapping of Lawbhammer, instructing them to recruit Turtler's Seacons in turn from 2020 and then steal the Matrices of Star Power from the Primus Vanguard. Primus brought the full force of the Golden Age to bear against the Powered Masters in an expedition to 2050 of the G1 World to capture the newly formed Silver Matrix. Abominus comic 2

Some time after the dissolution of the Blue Order in the Golden Age's native universe, Soundwave facilitated the escape of Megalligator and Convobat from Darkmount, taking care to separate the two by knocking out Convobat. Cybertron Convobat prequel comic He then guided the lone Blue Order survivor Magna Convoy from the Ivory Towers to Darkmount, aiding in his quest to retake the Matrix Sword. Cybertron Magna Convoy prequel comic After Magna Convoy and Convobat prevailed against the Straxuses and reconsecrated the Blue Order, Soundwave and Bludgeon observed them and a motley assortment of Vanguard survivors and potential recruits throughout the multiverse.
