- The Autotroopers are an Autobot police force from the Animated continuity family.
The Autotroopers (aka Autobot Troopers) are the police force responsible for safeguarding Cybertron's streets. They wear the 256-OZU-004 body type.

- The Autotroopers are redecos and retools of the Animated Cybertronian Ratchet/Ironhide mold, available only as a multipack souvenir at BotCon 2011. In addition to sporting a new head sculpt, the Autotroopers also wear unique Autobot emblems. Each comes with two "shock paddle" accessories which peg over his fists, and his right fist punches forward when a tab on his elbow is pushed. These "shock paddles" plug into the rear of his vehicle mode. The toy also comes with a Generation 1 style Tech Specs-style bio that was written by Jim Sorenson.
- This mold with this headsculpt was also used to make the BotCon 2011 attendee exclusive Fisitron.

- Part of the second series of Transformers Kre-O sets, a trio of Kreon Autobot Troopers are chasing Barricade. They are based on the Autotroopers, and have varying appearances and clear-blue weapons. Two come with door and wing kibble, and the door-winged Trooper wears a striped helmet and wields a big rifle, possibly denoting that he is of high rank. They have redecos of Hound's helmet. They come with a road block.

- A new-head retool of the War for Cybertron: Siege Deluxe Class Ironhide figure, "Animated Universe Autotrooper" transforms from robot to Cybertronian van and back. Autotrooper includes a redeco of Ironhide's "W-35 LR Doomblast Forge Launcher," which is C.O.M.B.A.T. System-compatible and can convert into a large hammer. There are multiple hardpoints on the figure and their weapons to accomodate Fire Blast effect parts, which can be used to simulate blaster fire or explosions. Most intriguingly, however, Autotrooper also includes an alternate head based on the original Kiss Players Autorooper design, intended to be used with a second copy of the figure for troop-building. Neat?
- Notably, the Autotrooper's head(s) utilize new technology developed by TakaraTomy designer Shogo Hasui wherein the two head designs slide onto a single "skull" via a rail system rather than brute forcing the neck ball joint as in past releases.[1]
- The flaw with Siege Ironhide's leg panel hinges has been fixed on Autotrooper, meaning they do not pop off at the slightest pressure.
- Autotrooper is one of four figures included in the Troop Builder Multipack, the others being Decepticon Seeker, Quintesson Trooper, and G2 Universe Cybertronian Trooper.

- The Autotroopers have a unique insignia, making the Autobot symbol more badge-like.
- Chris Ho voiced the Autotroopers in "The Stunti-Con Job" script reading with an Irish accent.
- An Animated Autotrooper made an Easter-egg appearance in the Generation 1 continuity in Transformers: Deviations as one of the many victims of the Battle of Autobot City in an alternate version of The Transformers: The Movie.
