Transformers references
Real world references
- When Bumblebee scans Scorponok, translating one of the readouts reveals the text 'THREAT LEVEL MIDNIGHT', a reference to Michael Scott's crappy movie from The Office.
- Snarl is shown running with his arms hanging back and his body hunched over, which is how ninjas are shown to run in popular media such as the Naruto franchise and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012).
- Optimus' axe is shown to come back to him after he throws it, similar to how the Marvel character Thor is shown throwing Mjolnir and Stormbreaker in the MCU. Both Thor and Optimus Prime from Transformers One have been played by Chris Hemsworth.
Trivia
- This episode was uploaded with its predecessor in a combined video titled "Optimus Prime Fights Grimlock in Extraction Mission", similar to the second episode being uploaded in a second combined video with the first episode, but being shown before the predecessor episode. Series writer Ali Lightfoot later revealed the official names for the first three episode. [1]
