Darak and Dulin experience first-hand the Quintessons' brand of justice.

Synopsis

Vector Theta reawakens! Zerta Trion has decided it is time for her to join the fight, and requests the supercomputer repair her legs. Vector Theta promises it will be done.

Pythona runs through the streets of Zertonia towards the crashed Leviathan, taking out a Sharkticon on the way. She is spotted by Proximus, who tries to stop her and ask some questions, but Pythona has no time for a machine and sends out tendrils to scramble his circuits. But Proximus is not a machine, and the tendrils instead form a psychic connection, showing Proximus everything in her mind, including her current mission. Proximus, his questions answered, merely implores her to complete her mission.

The forces of the Quintessons have breached the capital of Agorria. Dulin tries to rally his remaining forces, but is cut off by the arrival of the Tribunal. The War Judge requests the Agorrians surrender, but Dulin isn’t having any of it. Meanwhile, Darak is attempting to save his father—by sending a Jump Jet into the atmosphere and then turning right back around and crashing it into the Tribunal! Darak survives the collision thanks to an Energon boost, but unfortunately the Tribunal is completely unfazed and merely knocks the Agorrian unconscious. Darak wakes up in a massive prison cell, alongside Dulin and what Agorrians survived the Tribunal’s assault. Dulin assures his son not to lose hope.

Pythona approaches the crash site, and is greeted by Borr, the final dog-like mutation of Grakula’s armor. Elsewhere in Zertonia, the Unifiers are saved by the appearance of Zalilak and Solila, who make quick work of the Allicons. Unfortunately, Solila hasn’t heard anything from Darak about Agorria.

In the Tribunal’s flagship, Dulin and Darak are put on trial before the War Judge. The verdict? Innocent! Dulin and Darak discover what that means as they are dropped into the Sharkticon pit…

Transformers References

  • The Quintessons’ trial is obviously a huge reference to The Transformers: The Movie.
    • The Prosecutor quotes verbatim the “beg for your lives” line from the film (albeit subbing in “esteemed Tribunal” for “imperial magistrate”).

Errors

Other Notes

  • Energon Experience: Presented by Skybound Executive Editor Ben Abernathy
    • Character Spotlight: Dukan
    • Trion real hard!: Will we be getting a Zerta Trion/Tribunal battle?
    • Creator Spotlight: Ben asks artist Andrei Bressan which Quintesson face is most fun to draw. Bressan responds Dominion; the Roman aesthetic makes the Italian in him happy.
