Transformers: Prime (toyline)

The Transformers: Prime toyline hit shelves in November 2011. Originally, Hasbro played coy with the series receiving a toyline at all, emphasizing that it was a television series first and foremost. There were initial plans to release a small assortment of three Deluxe figures (Bumblebee, Arcee and Starscream) in the Generations line before they were moved into the expanded "First Edition" launch line.
The Transformers: Prime toys released in 2012 will bear the "Robots in Disguise" subtitle.
According to a post by Hasbro, the First Edition subline has been canceled for the US.[1]

Revealers
The deluxe size class gains this new name for the Robots in Disguise-branded line, derived from the dynamic "head reveals" that have become the universal feature of the figures, whether they be spring-loaded, gear-operated, or simply strategically revealed at the right time by folding down the right panel.

Powerizers
This size class derives its new name from a universal gimmick shared by the figures. Each one comes with a spring-loaded MechTech-style transforming weapon partially constructed from translucent plastic, and featuring an LED that moves into place and is activated when the weapon is deployed. The figures also feature translucent plastic in various spots throughout their bodies, so that when the weapon is in place and deployed, the moving LED creates the idea of energon power "flowing" from the character's bodies into their weapons.
