José Granadillo García (January 9, 1961-September 23, 2015) was a Venezuelan voice actor.

A notable trait of this voice actor is that he was capable of voicing all sorts of characters, like adult men, villains, heroes, teens, comic-relief characters, and old people.

He began his dubbing career in 2002, and has dubbed a bunch of characters, like King Bradley from Fullmetal Alchemist and the ANIMAX Latin-American Spanish dub of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Justin from the Total Drama series, B'wana Beast from Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Dubbilex from Young Justice, Henry from Kid VS. Kat, Everett from Back at the Barnyard, Professor WizGiz from Winx Club (succeeding Luis Lugo), Mr. Ridgemount from Stoked!, Dr. Ludwig Von Scientist from Jimmy Two-Shoes, Detective Scully from Brooklyn 9-9 (before being succeeded by Walter Véliz), and Jude from 6teen.

In 2013, he retired from dubbing, possibly due to health concerns; and as such, he died 2 years later, in 2015 due to cancer.

Notes

[edit]
  • One reason why this voice actor voiced Red Alert throughout certain episodes of Transformers: Cybertron could be because his former voice actor, Rubén Pérez, had retired from dubbing.
  • Amusingly Grandillo had dubbed over both of Yasuyuki Kase's Transformers roles.
