When Takara imported the toys and the first season of "Beast Wars" in 1997, they detailed the sizes of all characters in numerous children magazines, trading cards and guidebooks (those appearing in the cartoon were illustrated with screenshots from it). However, it appears that they were based primarily on the sizes of their toys, which contradicts with the liberties taken by Mainframe Entertainment. This practice seems to have been slightly softened in 1999 with "Metals". But to this day, these sizes are still listed by TakaraTomy in bio cards of high-end Masterpiece & MPG outings.
