*Kaskade appeared in no more than a handful of panels in IDW's comics, and when her appearances weren't from the collar up and with inconsistent torso detailing, they were of her far in the background laying on a med table often with her colors mixed up with [[Backstreet (G1)|Backstreet's]]. That is to say, her ''Legacy'' toy could have been nearly anything, because nobody's really sure what she even looks like from the neck down. In addition, she was first shown to have two regular optics and her monocle was portrayed as an enhancement she activated to sight the enemy from greater distances. Some of her more prominent close-ups in the IDW comics feature her with the monocle deployed, which may be why the toy's head includes it.

You don't know this isn't what she looks like!
Kaskade is an Ascenticon from the 2019 IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

A sniper, Kaskade is cautious about getting captured by the authorities for being a member of The Rise.

Is she a Mortal Kombat kharakter?
aaaaaaand then I spend most of the series like this

Kaskade joined her cell leader Ruckus along with Wirespike and Lowload in an attempt to siphon energon from a remote Energon transmission station following the destruction of the Rise base underneath the Memorial Crater. She was the only one worried about getting caught by the Security Operations, pointing out that things could go drastically wrong, like the incident with Brainstorm. Her fears were confirmed as Springer was shown waiting for them and it was only due to Lowload that they weren't captured. The four Ascenticons managed to escape and fled to a Rise fallback position in the Cybertronian Mountains, where they accessed a hidden cache of weaponry to defend their new position inside the head of an immersant Titan. The Change In Your Nature Part One

More officers were called in to deal with the burgeoning standoff. Despite Ruckus ordering her not to attack, Kaskade was the one who sniped Javelin, justifying it by saying Javelin was looking at her funny. Finally, Ascenticon senator Soundwave arrived to negotiate safe passage for the four bots, believing them to be simple criminals; however, Ruckus stupidly let slip some important details about Barricade's escape. When it became clear that the four 'bots couldn't fall into Autobot custody, Soundwave was forced to double cross the quartet and detonated the Titan's head. The Change In Your Nature Part Two Only Ruckus and Kaskade managed to survive. The Change In Your Nature Part Three Ratchet diagnosed them later, saying that while they had spark flickers, they had no mental activity and were left in a comatose state. Rise of the Decepticons: All Fall Down They remained as such long after the Autobots abandoned Iacon, with Flatline continuing to monitor them. Test Flight I As fate would have it, Kaskade was passed over by Exarchon in Provoke's body; instead, the Threefold Spark was reborn in the bodies of Ruckus and Flatline. Enigmatic

I'd get a second monocle installed, but then I'd be making a spectacle of myself.
  • Deadeye Duel 2-Pack (2-pack, 2023)
Transformers: Legacy "Ascenticon Kaskade" is a retooling of Siege Chromia with a new head, transforming into a Cybertronian car. As a retool of Chromia, Kaskade comes with the former's gun, along with newly-tooled variations of the Chromia's scope/barrel and grenades. However, they are cast in the same purple plastic as her pack-in partner Javelin, suggesting that these accessories are part of Javelin's new tooling sprue. Additionally, she includes a new weapon, a rifle that can be broken down into two parts: a long barrel and a small gun. This rifle can be attached to the front of Chromia's original gun with the scope included to turn it into a sniper rifle. As with Chromia, all of Kaskade's accessories can be mixed and matched as part of the C.O.M.B.A.T. System. However, Kaskade's instructions depict her dual wielding two weapons, the gun formed by combining Chromia's accessories as per her instructions, and the new rifle. For unknown reasons, the ends of Kaskade's grenade accessories have been shortened, leaving her unable to hold them in her hands the way Chromia could.
Kaskade's head crest has a tendency to rub during transformation if her head is rotated around backwards as shown in the instructions, which can cause damage over time. Rotating her head up before folding it into her body leaves enough clearance to prevent it from rubbing while still allowing it to fit into the body cavity.
She was only available in an Amazon-exclusive Pre-Cybertronian War Collection "Deadeye Duel 2-Pack" with "Senate Guard Autobot Javelin", in reference to their brief faceoff in the pages of the 2019 IDW Publishing Transformers comic. The set was put up for preorder on July 21st 2023.
This mold was also retooled to make Generations Selects Nightbird.
