This is jumping the gun hardcore before we have any details whatsoever on New Legends in addition to sort of misunderstanding Legends' place as TakaraTomy's *mainline,* a role still filled by Legacy/AOTP/etc etc as of this writing

Transformers Legends (トランスフォーマーレジェンズ Toransufōmā Rejenzu) is a TakaraTomy toyline, beginning in 2014 and following in the footsteps of Transformers United and Transformers Generations. It mostly consists of Hasbro Generations toys released by TakaraTomy with more premium/cartoon-inspired paint jobs. It created some confusion in the Western fandom when it was first announced due to it sharing its name with a common size class, with several fans speculating if the line would be all small-sized releases.

It is accompanied by a lighthearted web comic. Each toy also includes an issue of a spin-off of the web comic, focusing on the character it is packed with.

In 2015, Legends ran concurrently with a short-lived sister franchise by the name of Unite Warriors: TakaraTomy's home for Combiner Wars product.

Beginning with Power of the Primes in 2018, Hasbro and TakaraTomy began an official collaboration to produce identical figures, thus phasing out the need for Legends.
