Galvaburg II

The Galvaburg II is a Predacon starship from the Beast Wars II portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Galvaburg II (ガルバブルグII (に)世 Garubaburugu Nisei) is the starship used by Galvatron and his Predacons to reach Gaia, also serving as their mobile fortress. It is equipped with heavy armaments capable of shooting spacecraft down from orbit. The Galvaburg II also makes use of an "elemental particle control beam", a device capable of shrinking and enlarging Transformers (and keeping Gigastorm in line).

While being chased by Lio Convoy's Maximals on board the Yukikaze, Galvatron took the Galvaburg II through space and arrived on Gaia. The Galvaburg II effectively crippled the Yukikaze and remained the Predacons' mobile base of operations on Gaia. The Galvaburg II remained operational all the way until the final battle on the artificial planet Nemesis, where it was destroyed when the planetoid self-destructed.

The Predacons travelled to Gaia aboard the Galvaburg II. One of the first things they did was find a place to build a new base of frontline operations. Infiltrate the Mystery Island! By means of spying, Dirge and Thrust learned of Bighorn's and Scylla's wedding and reported on this development to the Predacons on board the Galvaburg II through the bridge's main screen. Galvatron ordered his soldiers to fly out and attack the Maximals while they were distracted. Realize the Forbidden Love! With Galvatron off to Nemesis, Gigastorm was in charge aboard the Galvaburg II. He had the Combatrons bring him a constant supply of oil while he lounged in a chair he'd set up outside the ship. Notes

• The Galvaburg II was never named in the Beast Wars II cartoon, only being referred to as the "fortress spaceship" (要塞宇宙船 yōsai uchūsen) and "Predacon Headquarters" (デストロン本部 Destron Honbu). Its name instead comes from the Beast Wars II Super Encyclopedia.
• "Galvaburg" is a portmanteau of "Galvatron" (ガルバトロン) and "Hindenburg" (ヒンデンブルク).
• There is exactly zilch information on any ship that may have borne the name Galvaburg before the Galvaburg II. It might be that with the fate of the Hindenburg in mind, one is supposed to infer it crashed and burned.
