Energonicon
| The name or term "Energon" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Energon (disambiguation). |
- Energonicons are drone robots from the Angry Birds Transformers series.
Many in number and wide in variety, the Energonicons are floating drone robots created by Professor Pig to assist the Deceptihogs... and the Autobirds too, why not... in the field. Forged from the materials found on Piggy Island, each one has a different power of varying usefulness.

Angry Birds Transformers
Energonicons come into play once the player has uncovered Hogs Head Mountain on the map, home of Professor Pig and the Pig Lab. Upon entering, Prof. Pig presents you with three already-complete Energonicons: Strikebot, Electroblast and Shieldor. From that point on though, any more Energonicons must be made via Professor Pig's ridiculous-looking contraption. Putting three Materials into the machine starts up a roulette-style game of chance, with five different potential prizes. If the right combination of Materials is tossed in, one (or more!) of the five prizes becomes a yet-unobtained Energonicon. Gems can of course be spent to reject the outcome and try again with the remaining prizes, with the Gem price doubling every time you try it. You cannot get an Energonicon twice even if you use the same recipe, its prize slot will be replaced with Coins.
Once you have an Energonicon, you can select it before you enter a stage. Energonicons float behind the player and remain inactive until you press the Energonicon icon, and only if they have at least one stored energon cube, obtained by de-cyberforming scenery (by blasting it). The number of energon cubes stored depends on the character's current level, with a maximum of three. Some characters unlock their max storage very quickly, others not so much. Activating an Energonicon immediately drains all stored energon, and the amount of energon alters the effect: while most Energonicons simply stay active longer, others grow in power without changing duration. Any energon cubes obtained while storage is full gets you nothing but a disparaging look from your chosen character, so it's usually best to go ahead and activate once it looks like you might go over.
Most Energonicons replicate the attacks of the playable characters and even some enemies, but others have more esoteric functions. Which one to use depends on who you're bringing into the stage and what you're trying to accomplish. Angry Birds Transformers

All Energonicons have a 1-4 star rating; The higher the star rating of the Energonicon, the more powerful and more costly they are to obtain.

Notes
- The Energonicons were a later addition to the game, replacing the three static "special powers" assigned to specific characters. Those three powers, however, are represented by Energonicons, specifically the three free ones you get once you access Professor Pig's lab:
- Electroblast (EMP blast)
- Shieldor (energy shield)
- Strikebot (summon Skywarp)
- At one point, bringing a specific Energonicon into a Challenge Event stage earned you a percentage bonus on your final score. This has since been changed, and many events don't even let you bring in an Energonicon at all.
The developers had nerfedProfessor Pig had tinkered with the shooting Energonicons in a few updates of the game. Initially, they shot everything they can, including cyberformed structures, but they were "reprogrammed" to not target them anymore. Another update slightly reduced their fire rate and re-prioritized their targets according to distance. That means a powerful 3 or 4 star Energonicon would rather destroy a few stone blocks in front of you to the left than a dangerous Walking Mortar Tower far in the back to the right.
