:Sideswipe transforms into a silver Corvette Stingray concept car. In this mode, he sits so low that it's difficult to roll him without scraping his undercarriage, unless you perform some careful shaping after transforming him. Sideswipe's Mech Alive gimmick is in his knees—bending his legs causes the blue armor plates on his knees to extend. Rounding out his robot mode awesomeness, his hips have an "invisible joint" and moving pistons, while his "blades" are geared to spin out in unison. He is totally awesome.
: | :He does have wheels in his feet like his character model, but the toy's feet have been designed in such a way that it can stand alone if you leave the silver panels on the back of his feet extended instead of retracting them and, to help with balance, tilt up the front portion of the feet as seen in the stock image (most likely, the panels only retract as an undocumented feature to flip the feet around and get the wheeled look as seen in the film). The instructions do show that the panels are supposed to remain untransformed, but the hinges being there alone has led many collectors to assume they're meant to be folded in, and in turn, to be disappointed at this toy's seeming inability to stand up. If you have a 2009 Sideswipe around and you didn't know this then this is your call to go correctly transform him, now.
:Sideswipe's instructions aren't clear as to how his torso is supposed to connect with his chest in robot mode. The torso piece has a square peg on top of it and there is a corresponding square hole between the two screws holding the front of his chest together. Getting his torso section in front of his arm struts can be a somewhat snug fit. | :Speaking of undocumented features, Sideswipe's instructions aren't clear as to how his torso is supposed to connect with his chest in robot mode. Both the black and silver molded "springs" on his lower legs are compatible with any weaponry using 3mm clips. :Studio Series Sideswipe is based off his appearance in Dark of the Moon, transforming into a Corvette Stingray convertible with a detailed interior. He includes two swords, two guns, and a cardboard backdrop display depicting the Mexican standoff scene from Dark of the Moon. The guns can store on two slots behind his hips. While not mentioned in the instructions, the swords can fit nicely into slots on his thighs for storage. As a neat little feature, Sideswipe has moving pistons on the back of his legs, reminiscent of the old Mech Alive gimmick.
:In vehicle mode, the swords form the sides of his car while the guns store underneath the rear, with the barrels protruding out the back like exhaust pipes... right underneath his actual sculpted in exhaust ports. Oops.

:The second Studio Series Sideswipe figure is a retool of the above release to match his earlier appearance in Revenge of the Fallen; his Corvette Stingray alternate mode now has a closed roof, new hood, and omits the car spoiler of the Dark of the Moon-branded release, though it lacks the headlights for this version of the car. In his robot mode, Sideswipe notably has more accurate silver paint applications. Sideswipe also comes with the two swords and the two guns from his earlier release (the latter of which, while accurate to Dark of the Moon, do not match the guns he used in Revenge of the Fallen), and comes with a different backdrop display depicting the Shanghai chase from Revenge of the Fallen.
:In robot mode, the guns now store in new slots on his back. The swords can still fit in his thighs, but now have dedicated storage on his remolded door wings. The instructions neglect to show how the guns are stored in vehicle mode; they can remain in the slots on his back for the entirety of the transformation or peg into the slots in the backs of his hands as they did on the Dark of the Moon version of the mold.

Unfortunately, Mattel was able to secure exclusive rights for releasing a Concept Stingray model car at a 1:64 scale for their Hot Wheels line (the toy was released as part of the "2010 New Models" lineup), and thus, Hasbro was unable to provide this toy with the more accurate vehicle mode design that had been originally planned.

Collect Sideswipe, the silver sports car!
Toys
[edit]Revenge of the Fallen
[edit]Legends Class toys
[edit]
- Sideswipe (Legends Class, 2009)
- TakaraTomy ID number: EZ-06
- Legends Class Sideswipe transforms into a tiny Corvette Stingray concept car. As a Legends toy, he features a simplified transformation sequence that results in swords that consist entirely of door kibble and barely-noticeable reliefs of his wheel-feet.
- Prototype photos of the toy shows that his faux wheel-feet are painted. This toy was redecoed into Revenge of the Fallen Swerve.

- The Fury of Fearswoop (Multi-pack, 2009)
- A "battle damaged" deco version of Legends Sideswipe was available in the Walmart-exclusive "The Fury of Fearswoop" 3-pack together with a similarly "battle damaged" version of Legends Mudflap and Deluxe class Fearswoop. That the set uses a pair of Legends-class cars and a Deluxe-class jet means the toys are in a roughly-correct scale to each other... which is borked by the story, in which Fearswoop is supposedly much huger than normal thanks to some unnamed mystic artifact.

- Bluesteel Sideswipe (Legends Class, 2010)
- "Bluesteel" Sideswipe is a metallic blue redeco of Legends Sideswipe, also featuring some minor detail changes, including finally painting his fake wheel-feet to make them stand out.
Deluxe Class toys
[edit]
- Sideswipe (Deluxe Class, 2009)
- TakaraTomy ID number: RA-04
- Known designers: Shogo Hasui (TakaraTomy), Andrew Scribner (deco artist)
- Sideswipe transforms into a silver Corvette Stingray concept car.
- He does have wheels in his feet like his character model, but the toy's feet have been designed in such a way that it can stand alone if you leave the silver panels on the back of his feet extended instead of retracting them and, to help with balance, tilt up the front portion of the feet as seen in the stock image (most likely, the panels only retract as an undocumented feature to flip the feet around and get the wheeled look as seen in the film).
- Speaking of undocumented features, Sideswipe's instructions aren't clear as to how his torso is supposed to connect with his chest in robot mode. The torso piece has a square peg on top of it and there is a corresponding square hole between the two screws holding the front of his chest together. Getting his torso section in front of his arm struts can be a somewhat snug fit.
- During part of 2010, Hasbro did a promotion wherein US fans could receive three free Deluxes in exchange for receipts showing the purchase of $25 or more of select Transformers product. As noted in this thread over at Allspark.com, and later confirmed by this listing here, Sideswipe was one of a pool of eight figures (all from the same wave) from which the free Deluxes were drawn, with several people having noted receiving him.
- Sadly, his door-wing kibble-pack may come out of the package with the swivel joints near the base looking a little bit deformed and/or broken. This flaw causes them to have some difficulty staying on. This is not totally awesome.

- Strike Mission Sideswipe (Deluxe Class, 2010)
- This redeco of Sideswipe features red translucent windows, a large black racing stripe running down the center of the car and fading black stripes on the doors. Like many Autobots in the NEST Global Alliance Revenge of the Fallen toyline refresh, he features a version of the NEST logo tampographed on him.
- This deco is also the basis for the Gravity Bots "Nitro" Sideswipe toy.
Human Alliance
[edit]
- Sideswipe / Tech. Sergeant Epps (Human Alliance, 2009)
- TakaraTomy ID number: RA-22
- Accessories: Missile
- Known designers: Hisashi Yuki (TakaraTomy)
- Like all Human Alliance figures, Sideswipe is designed to allow his accompanying human figure, in this case Robert Epps, to ride inside.
- While in many ways simply a larger version of the Deluxe toy, it has several changes. The wheeled feet may now fold out into a stand system, allowing Sideswipe to stand without having to balance on the wheels, or be left as is to retain a more rounded look, and his blades are now rubberized to prevent injury and damage, as the blades lay flat underneath in vehicle mode. The sword-hands can also be slotted into a gear system connected to the front wheels, which causes them to spin as the wheels are turned. The passenger's seat may either be used as a seat for Epps, or turned into a missile launcher slung over Sideswipe's left shoulder.
- Like the Deluxe figure, the HA Sideswipe is something of a shellformer and suffers from an excessive amount of kibble, as nearly the entire top of the vehicle mode is folded up into a backpack, with only the rear bumper being incorporated as Sideswipe's chest. Partly as the reason, it is also quite hard for him to be able to stand up, as his thigh joints are tight and the rubber tubing on his thighs can get quite tense during posing, constantly wanting to reset his torso to tilt back up and as well as wanting his legs to be straight, thus overbalancing him and making him fall on his backpack.
- A great deal goes unmentioned in the instructions: in addition to the seats behind Sideswipe's shoulders, there are pegs on both forearms that a Human Alliance human figure can stand on or have plugged into their back, but neither are accomplished very well; the pegs also interfere with free rolling in vehicle mode, scraping on the ground. There is a fold-out handle under the swiveling rear window section, which seems to serve no purpose; it's possible to fold this section over Sideswipe's head (and, by extension, any human figure sitting behind his right shoulder), but the handle is only reached if the human figure has its left arm raised straight up and the seat is in just the right position. There are also small tabs that fold out of Sideswipe's waist to make him more movie-accurate. The small turret on his right shoulder can be slid upwards slightly, allowing it to clear the shoulder much better. Sideswipe also has an extra hinge near either thigh swivel that is completely hindered by the rubber tubing on his legs. Finally, Sideswipe has a battle mask; or rather, his normal head is his battle mask. A thin sliver in the middle of his face flips back to reveal his "real" face. It looks... odd. It's probably best to leave the thing down and never speak of this feature.
Fast Action Battlers
[edit]
- Battle Blade Sideswipe (Fast Action Battler, 2009)
- Known designers: Alex Androski (deco artist)
- This roughly Deluxe-sized version of Sideswipe is a kid-friendly version with a simpler transformation, transforming from a Corvette Stingray car to a simplified version of his robot mode presented in the Revenge of the Fallen movie. His main gimmick is his spring-loaded arm-blades which automatically swing down when pulled upward.

- Night Blades Sideswipe (Fast Action Battler, 2010)
- This redeco of Battle Blade Sideswipe colors his car mode dark gray and light green. His robot mode bits remain silver.
Battle Chargers
[edit]
- Sideswipe (Battle Charger, 2009)
- Part of the Robot Powered Machines subline, Battle Charger Sideswipe is a cutesified Corvette Stingray with a pull-back motor. When pulled back and let go, his roof flips open and his robot mode pops out.

- Hyper Speed Sideswipe (Battle Charger, 2009)
- Hyper Speed Sideswipe is a redeco of Battle Charger Sideswipe with black details here and there and his name stenciled on his windshield.
Gravity Bots
[edit]
- Sideswipe (Gravity Bot, 2009)
- TakaraTomy ID number: GB-04
- Part of the second wave of Gravity Bots, Sideswipe uses gravity-activated autotransformation to turn into a super deformed Corvette Stingray when laid on his back. When the car is stood back up, it returns to its boxy robot mode.
- The toy features no articulation whatsoever, but that doesn't matter because he's awesome.

- Nitro Sideswipe (Gravity Bot, 2010)
- A redeco of regular Gravity Bot Sideswipe, Nitro Sideswipe features maroon windows and black stripes and wheels, very similar to the Deluxe Class "Strike Mission" Sideswipe toy. He of course retains the same awesome play feature.
Robot Replicas
[edit]
- Sideswipe (Robot Replicas, 2009)
- Robot Replicas Sideswipe is a non- transforming, but highly detailed and articulated interpretation of his robot mode from the movie. He features highly posable legs, arms, feet, head, waist, neck and shoulders, making him both an awesome kid's toy and display piece.
- Funnily enough, despite the Robot Replica promise of total movie-accuracy, his arm-blades are considerably shortened and are a weird metallic blue colour, rather than the silver/gray you might expect.
- Sadly, his "Wheel feet" do not roll, making Sideswipe somewhat immobilized.
Power Bots
[edit]
- Sideswipe (Power Bots, 2009)
- Power Bots Sideswipe is a bulky, non-transforming toy for younger children. He features limited articulation in his limbs and head, two very blunt swords, and various playing sound clips and flashing lights. He has an North Americanised Australian accent!
Transformers (2010)
[edit]

- Sidearm Sideswipe (Deluxe Class, 2010)
- TakaraTomy ID number: AA-06
- Accessories: Two flare launchers
- Known designers: Alex Kubalsky (TakaraTomy), Andrew Scribner (deco artist)
- Transformers Sidearm Sideswipe is designed for greater robot mode accuracy compared to his original Deluxe Class mold, and replaces his swords with twin hand-held flare launcher pistols (which were briefly used during the Egypt battle in Revenge of the Fallen). Sideswipe now has toe and heel spurs so that he can balance on a flat surface without falling over, a problem that the previous versions of the character suffered. Both the black and silver molded "springs" on his lower legs are compatible with any weaponry using 3mm clips. Additionally, the guns can be attached to flip-up panels and swung out in vehicle mode to form an attack mode of sorts, or they can swivel back while in this configuration to store on his back in either mode. Sideswipe's hands are capable of wielding 5 mm posts.
- Hasbro added a red deco design to the front of the car and red windows in an effort to differentiate him from the previous Sideswipe molds. Stock photos on the back package and instructions show the front deco extending to the side panels, giving it a flame appearance. The Japanese TakaraTomy release of Sidearm Sideswipe drops red flame details in favor of keeping the silver paint on his wheels, which Hasbro dropped due to budgetary reasons. This release also changed the windows from red to a dark purple, for a more screen accurate appearance.
- His head's light-piping is sculpted out of the same red plastic as his windows, but his eyes are painted blue. Oddly, Hasbro's stock photos show him with only one eye painted.
- In an undocumented feature, his ankles can be rotated around in robot mode in order for them to look much more accurate to his CG model. Neither the instructions nor any official photography (nor either of the pictures on the right) reflects this step in his transformation.
- Sidearm Sideswipe seems to have undergone a last-second mold alteration; closing off the tops of the hip balljoint sockets, severely limiting his outward leg motion. There is a perfect outline where the change was made to the molding. This change was likely made to reduce stress on the rubber tubing connected to his thighs.

- Hunters Rumble (Target Figure 2-pack, 2010)
- This Target-exclusive bundle includes redecos of Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe-class Sideswipe and Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe-class Interrogator Barricade. This may be a reference to their meeting in "Cyber Missions 6".

"We certainly are, Sideways!"
- Shadow Blade Sideswipe / Mikaela Banes (Human Alliance, 2010)
- Accessories: Missile
- Known designers: Andrew Scribner (deco artist)
- Part of the second and final wave of the 2010 Transformers toyline's Human Alliance toys, Shadow Blade Sideswipe is a redeco of the first Human Alliance Sideswipe in black, with silver stripes, tan robot details and deep blue windows.
- This time around, he comes with a new mold version of Mikaela Banes.
Dark of the Moon
[edit]Cyberverse
[edit]
- Sideswipe (Cyberverse Legion Class, 2011)
- Series: 1
- Hasbro ID number: 006
- TakaraTomy ID number: CV09
- Known designers: Joe Kyde (Hasbro)
- Dark of the Moon Cyberverse Sideswipe is based on his open-top Stingray concept vehicle form. His only 3mm-compatible clip is his right hand. Like the rest of the final product, and unlike the stock photography, he is entirely dull, unpainted grey plastic.

- Ultimate Gift Set (Cyberverse multi-pack, 2011)
- A redeco of the mold above.
- He comes in a Walmart-exclusive 5-pack with redecos of Optimus Prime, Powerglide, Bumblebee, and Crowbar.
Deluxe Class toys
[edit]
- Sideswipe (MechTech Deluxe Class, 2011)
- TakaraTomy ID number: DA08
- Accessories: MechTech Blaster/Cybertanium Sword
- Part of the second wave of Dark of the Moon MechTech Deluxe Class toys, this version of Sideswipe changes into a Corvette Stingray concept convertible in a light grey/beige color scheme and open top. The interior is highly detailed, with seats, dashboard and steering wheel all molded into the compartment, though it's missing its floorboards. The box art and the instructions can't seem to agree which way the tail lights (which are his toe/heel spurs) are supposed to point in robot mode - the stock photo used on the card and main instruction image show them pointing forward, while the instructions themselves indicate they should point backward, implying it is probably the correct way.
- Underneath the front hood (which ends up on his back) is some sculpted, unpainted faux-kibble in the form of four circles in a row, which are meant to represent the four exhaust pipes on the back of the vehicle, which usually end up on his back in robot mode. The actual pipes still end up on his back. They're just near his waist.
- Sideswipe's MechTech weapon, a large blaster, can convert to a runed Cybertanium sword with the press of a button. The weapon can be stored in any of the three MechTech ports in either mode, all of which include the spring-loaded filler piece to hide them when not in use. While the box art shows the blade of the flip-out sword painted blue with white Cybertronix runes, the final version opts for bare gunmetal plastic instead.
- The figure suffers from a small design flaw in that the front hood of the car is attached by such tiny pegs that it pops off quite easily.

- Sideswipe (Deluxe Class, 2011)
- Known designers: Sam Smith (Hasbro), Andrew Scribner and Mark Maher (deco)
- This redeco of Deluxe class Revenge of the Fallen Sideswipe is exclusive to Toys"R"Us' Mission Earth: The Scan Series, to represent him trans-scanning his vehicle mode. As such, nearly all of his vehicle mode parts (and thus, most of his robot mode) are cast in translucent clear plastic, with the rear of his vehicle mode being left unpainted, the middle having painted scan lines, and the front having a heavy amount of paint operations in order to cover the clear plastic.
- The stock photography is mistransformed: his feet are flipped around, with what should be the heel portions acting as the toes.

- Sideswipe (Deluxe Class, 2011)
- Accessories: Two flare launchers
- Known designers: Andrew Scribner (deco artist)
- This version of Sideswipe is a Walmart-exclusive redeco of Sidearm Sideswipe. Featuring a new racing-themed deco, he is one of the most fanwank-filled mass released toys ever, featuring a small TransTech Autobot symbol on the rear fenders, an endorsement of "Lithonian Drivetrain" on the front fenders, another for "Maccadam's" on his trunk, one further logo that for "Sun bro", another ad for "Axalon Rattraps" (with the slogan "Safe. Humane. Yeah, right!" underneath), and finally the number 04, a nod to the original Sideswipe's Japanese ID number. Oh, and he's particularly blue and yellow.
- Sideswipe's stock photos are slightly different from the final product, rendering his 04 in a different, non-italicized font and the front portion of the car mode having a strange faint checkerboard pattern painted on.
- He also looks not unlike Speed Stars Bluestreak.
- He was made available the UK as a Sainsbury's exclusive, and in Australia and New Zealand as a Kmart exclusive.
Human Alliance
[edit]

- Flash Freeze Assault (Human Alliance multi-pack, 2011)
- Accessories: Missile
- Known designers: Andrew Scribner (deco artist)
- The Sideswipe included in this Kmart-exclusive multi-pack is a redeco of Human Alliance Sideswipe in gray, black and green with white and black decorative stripes. He comes with a redeco of Human Alliance Icepick and the human figure Sergeant Chaos, who is shown riding Sideswipe in stock photos despite being evil Icepick's partner. It also shows Sideswipe holding Icepick in his weapon mode, with a legally-cautious sticker saying "SIDESWIPE CANNOT HOLD WEAPON" at the back, as Sideswipe's Human Alliance mold isn't designed to and cannot hold MechTech posts.
Robo Power
[edit]Go-Bots
[edit]
- Sideswipe (2011)
- A simple cute toy of Sideswipe with oversized wheels aimed at young children. It transforms from a cute Corvette into and equally cute deformed robot.
Age of Extinction
[edit]
- Optimus Prime with Trailer and Sideswipe (Platinum Edition, 2014)
- A metallic redeco of Swerve (itself a retool of Revenge of the Fallen Deluxe Class Sideswipe sporting an alternate head sculpt), presumably as an homage to Generation 1 Sideswipe.
- This figure was only available in a Platinum Edition set with a redeco of Age of Extinction "First Edition" Optimus Prime and the Masterpiece MP-10 Convoy/Optimus Prime trailer without Roller. In the United States, this set was a "shared exclusive" between BigBadToyStore, Toys"R"Us, and Hasbro Toy Shop. In Canada and Singapore, it was exclusive to Toys"R"Us, whereas in Australia, it was a Myer exclusive. In Taiwan, it was made available for purchase during a event celebrating the launch of Transformers Rising.
- He is rather blatantly mis-transformed in the official stock photo—his feet/wheels are the most obvious, but also his chest isn't pegged in, his swords are in the retracted position, and his shoulder kibble is lowered.

- Sideswipe (November 28, 2015)
- ID number: EX
- Accessories: 1 machine gun, 2 pistols
- Released as a Toys'R'Us Japan exclusive, Movie Advanced Series Sideswipe is a redeco of the Deluxe Mechtech toy, featuring extensive silver deco similar to the TakaraTomy release of the Transformers (2010) Sidearm Sideswipe figure. He also features three weapons, which were reused from Age of Extinction Crosshairs.
Kre-O
[edit]The Kre-O Lockdown Air Raid set includes a Kreon named "Sideswipe", but inexplicably based on Dark of the Moon Leadfoot rather than Sideswipe. See Leadfoot's page for details.
The Last Knight
[edit]
- Sideswipe (Tiny Turbo Changer, 2017)
- Series: 1
- Bag Code: K
- Released in Series 1 of Tiny Turbo Changers, Sideswipe changes from robot to an unlicensed approximation of his on-screen vehicle mode. Interestingly, his car mode is based on the Aston Martin-esque design used on his Speed Stars toy. He features articulation at his shoulders and his hands are compatible with Cyberverse weapons and other small accessories. Baggies stamped with the letter 'K' contain Sideswipe figures.
Studio Series
[edit]
- Sideswipe (Deluxe Class, 2018)
- Movie: Dark of the Moon
- Hasbro ID number: 29
- TakaraTomy ID number: SS-20
- TakaraTomy release date: January 26, 2019
- Accessories: Two swords/side car kibble, two guns, "Dreads Standoff" backdrop
- Studio Series Sideswipe is based off his appearance in Dark of the Moon, transforming into a Corvette Stingray convertible with a detailed interior.
- In vehicle mode, the swords form the sides of his car while the guns store underneath the rear, with the barrels protruding out the back like exhaust pipes... right underneath his actual sculpted in exhaust ports. Oops.
- Robot kibble underneath the hood has a tendency to scrape along the ground, preventing the car from rolling smoothly. Considering how much of the figure is coated in silver paint, care should be taken when handling to prevent scratching the paint.

- Sideswipe (Deluxe Class, 2021)
- Movie: Revenge of the Fallen
- Hasbro ID number: 78
- TakaraTomy ID number: SS-77
- TakaraTomy release date: April 30, 2022
- Accessories: Two swords, two guns, "Shanghai Pursuit" backdrop
- Known designers: Sam Smith (Hasbro), Hisashi Yuki (TakaraTomy)[1]
- The second Studio Series Sideswipe figure is a retool of the above release to match his earlier appearance in Revenge of the Fallen; his Corvette Stingray alternate mode now has a closed roof, new hood, and omits the car spoiler of the Dark of the Moon-branded release, though it lacks the headlights for this version of the car.
- In robot mode, the guns now store in new slots on his back.
Masterpiece Movie Series
[edit]

- Sideswipe (2026)
- Movie: Revenge of the Fallen
- ID number: MPMN-01
- Accessories: 2 "Cybertronium Blades", 2 "hand cannnons", 2 slash effects
- Masterpiece Movie Series Next Sideswipe is based on his appearance in the Revenge of the Fallen film. Announced during a livestream under TakaraTomy's T-SPARK banner, he is the first of the re-branded Masterpiece Movie Series line. Similar to other MPM releases of its time, this figure bears certain engineering similarities to Studio Series Sideswipe, notably in the design of its limbs and chest.
- Sideswipe comes with his two swords and guns. The swords can store on his back and on the roof of the car, while the guns can store on his thighs and under the rear of the car similar to the Studio Series. He also comes with two slashing effects that rest on the ground.

- Sideswipe G1 Red (2026)
- Movie: Revenge of the Fallen
- ID number: MPMN-02
- Accessories: 2 "Cybertronium Blades", 2 "hand cannnons", 2 slash effects
- Released alongside the standard version, this version of Sideswipe has a G1-inspired red deco (done by simply swapping out most of the silver paint), but is otherwise identical.

- Robot Powered Machines Sideswipe is a small, non-transforming car with his robot mode sculpted underneath. Said robot mode has his swords colored red, for some reason - a trait that would carry on into most of this mold's subsequent repaints. The car's wheels feature through-axle construction for speedy racing on flat surfaces.
- Although leaked images of a prototype that surfaced in 2008[2] (these being, in fact, the very first leaked images of a piece of Revenge of the Fallen merchandise!) were pretty accurate to the Corvette Stingray car from the movie, the actual RPM Sideswipe toy has been severely altered and looks more like a weird mish-mash between a Ferrari, an Aston Martin, and a Nissan GT-R R35.
- And to further rub salt in the wound? The Mattel toy drops a Transformers reference in its packaging blurb, saying that "this concept car also draws on Corvette cues from other generations, making a sweet "transformation" from old to new" [3] (notice the not-so-subtle quotation marks).
- This mold was also used to make Speed Stars Bluestreak.

- Sideswipe vs. Wreckloose (2010)
- Series: Battle Series 2
- Number: 01 of 06
- A redeco of RPM Sideswipe with red stripes and a large Autobot insignia on his roof. It was only available in a two-pack with Wreckloose.
- As part of the final wave of RPMs, Battle Series 2 did not get released through normal retail outlets in the United States, instead showing up for sale first in Canada, Asia and Europe. Later, though, it would show up in the US though Toys"R"Us Express mall stores and discount chains like Ross and TJ Maxx.

This series is only known to have been released in Australia, the Philippines, Hong Kong and other Asian countries, and several European markets (i.e. in most Hasbro markets outside the Americas). Its deco would later serve as the basis for the Speed Stars release of "Metal Heroes" Sideswipe.

- Sideswipe (2010)

- "Robot Riders" Sideswipe is a new-mold figure of Sideswipe's robot mode that is built to roll on wheels. - Sideswipe vs. Wreckloose (2010)
- Series: Battle Series 2
- Number: 01 of 06
- Part of the first wave of Speed Stars Mini-Vehicle versus packs, this Sideswipe is a more widely-released version of the RPMs Battle Series 2 pack, coming with Wreckloose. And like Wreckloose, this version has quite a few changes from the barely-released RPMs version. The shiny silver overspray is gone, leaving a more matte silver plastic. The twin red stripes have been turned into a single large stripe. And the relief of his robot mode, now cast in red plastic instead of brown, is now done entirely in a single shade of silver, plus the raised "SIDESWIPE" at his "feet" is completely unpainted.

- Sideswipe (2010)
- Series: Robot Riders
- Number: 01 of 03
- The Speed Stars version of "Robot Riders" Sideswipe has less paint details than the RPM version, and replaces the dark silver paint with a brighter silver, among many other changes.

- Sideswipe (2010)
- Series: Metal Heroes
- Number: 07 of 08
- The Speed Stars version of "Metal Heroes" Sideswipe is mostly the same, but has unpainted headlights, tail-lights, and rear bumper, and his robot mode has less painted details. He lacks the sculpted insignia on his underside.
- During the period between 26 December 2010 and 31 January 2011, Hasbro ran their "Supercharge Your Holidays" promotion: for every $20 spent on Hasbro-branded product, customers could receive a free, random product from a list provided by Hasbro. Among the items on the list were "Transformers Combiners and Speed Star Mini-Vehicle" and "Transformers Activator and Speed Star Mini-Vehicle." According to this discussion thread on Allspark.com, Speed Stars Metal Heroes Sideswipe was one of the figures distributed.

Jada Toys
[edit]- Sideswipe Corvette Stingray Concept (Scale 1/24 Die Cast Vehicle,
2019)
- Accessories: Collectible coin
- Announced by Jada Toys in 2018, Hollywood Rides Sideswipe was planned to be a 1/24 scaled non-transforming die-cast car with rubber tires based on his Revenge of the Fallen Corvette Stingray alternate mode and possibly featuring opening doors, front hood and back trunk. Similar to the Robot Powered Machines, the car would have featured a sculpted robot mode underneath. However, the product remains unreleased and is most likely cancelled by now.
- Sideswipe would have come with a collectible coin with his face engraved on it.
- Sideswipe Corvette Stingray Concept (Scale 1/32 Die Cast Vehicle,
2019)
- A 1/32 scaled version of Sideswipe was also announced, but remains equally unreleased.
