"I love the smell of floor cleaner in the morning. It smells like victory."

Sergeant Scrubforce is the cleaning commander of the Custodial Crew, waging a war to keep the mall dirt and dust free. While he maintains a gruff no nonsense exterior, he's always willing to cut loose with the other BotBots to have a good time.

While the BotBots partied in the mall one night, Sergeant Scrubforce ordered Caution to do a dive from the second floor balcony into the mall fountain. When Dave interrupted the fun during his rounds, Scrubforce hid in his bucket mode. Once the flesh creature was out of sight, he resumed partying. Later, he witnessed Burgertron and Dimlit breaking The Sacred Rule of the Mall, and, like all the other BotBots, quickly shunned Burgertron and the "Lost Bots". Mall Than Meets the Eye

Sarge was among the crowd gathered to watch Spud Muffin's latest "BotVid", a slick round of couch surfing. He then involuntarily became part of Kikmee's "prank" BotVid, where basically he was minding his own business and she slammed full-force into him in her soccer ball mode. It didn't go over well. He was much more appreciative of the BotVid Fomo captured of Sprinkleberry D'uhnut slipping on some oil, which the camera-bot recorded instead of what the Lost Bots wanted him to. Oh well. (Never) Be Yourself He was also in the crowd for the revival of the hit play I, Cheeseburger. The sudden appearance of a second cheeseburger on-stage threw him for a moment, but he enjoyed the ending anyway. I, Cheeseburger

Scrubforce and Caution were having a difficult time cleaning up some mysteriously appearing white goop, when a frightened Dinger and Batsby ran through the puddle, spraying the two bots with the weird substance. Shortly after, he interrupted Burgertron's reverie under an open skylight and told him that tale, as well as several other instances of strange and scary goings-on in the mall, and heavily implied that any Bot... or group of Bots... who could get to the bottom of them would certainly be viewed as heroes of the mall. He soon learned what was causing all the commotion when a black, feathered flying creature screeched into the food court where he and many other BotBots had gathered. Thankfully, he was saved by the LARPing Lost Bots, and the strange creature flew out the skylight from whence it came... which Burgertron had left open, meaning all this was his fault. Live and Let LARP Later, he and the rest of the Custodial Crew were cleaning the mall toilets (or just playing in them, it's hard to tell sometimes) while Clogstopper watched from afar. Lone Bot and Carb

When the Lost Bots managed to pull off a completely-successful, non-catastrophic white-water-rapids escalator run, Sarge and the other BotBots joined in the fun and were mightily impressed. So impressed, the Lost Bots were invited to attend Bot Prom, the most important party in all BotBot-dom (well, until the next one, at least). At the big shindig, Sarge approached Clogstopper, wanting to talk with him about a possible future with the Custodial Crew. However, Dave the security guard was not as indisposed as the Lost Bots thought they'd left him, and the Prom had to be quickly scuttled to prevent their discovery, flushing Clogstopper's chances with the Crew right down the toity. The Custodial Crew were tasked with cleanup duties for the BotBots' nightly "beach" parties, sweeping the sand into the air conditioning vents every night. Unfortunately, this resulted in over-working the system and rising temperatures in the mall, but a musical presentation from the Science Alliance eventually got them into recycling the sand instead. The Science Alliance When Dave was fired for extra incompetence and property damage, the BotBots went absolutely nuts in celebration. Sergeant Scrubforce celebrated by ordering the rest of the Custodial Crew to dive in and "explode the commode", sending toilet water all over the bathroom. However, their slippery celebrations were interrupted by a trio of new, deadly security bots. Shopping Brawl

Later, Sarge attended "the funnest party ever", thrown by Spud Muffin, and was there to witness the arrival of "The Gamesmaster" and the declaration of the Goldrush Games. The Custodial Crew were one of eight squads to compete, and managed to make it to the finals. The Goldrush Games - Part the First By the time of the final event, the Custodial Crew were in third place, behind the tied-for-first Hunger Hubs and Lost Bots, and thus sat out the final competition. They were also witness to the revelation that the "Gamesmater" was a coerced Brock O'Lonely in disguise, and that the Games were a sham engineered by Spud Muffin to finally get the Lost Bots exiled from BotBot society forever. Sarge and the others were ready to throw Spud onto a truck to the outside world, but the Lost Bots intervened and convinced them he deserved a second chance. With Spud now sent to the Dark Side of the Mall to redeem himself, the Custodial Crew joined in welcoming the Lost Bots as an official BotBots squad. The Goldrush Games - Part the Second

All mops are buckets.
  • Custodial Crew (8-pack, 2022)
    • Series: 6
    • Rarity: Rare
    • Accessories: Mop handle/baton
Part of the sixth Series of BotBots, Sergeant Scrubforce transforms from a mop-and-bucket into a police-themed robot. The hinge that reveals his face and chest even evokes an old-timey police whistle. His mop-handle pops out to become a hand-held baton accessory.
His bucket-handle is attached to both shoulders and is stretched ever so slightly in transformation to robot mode, so, you know, keep an eye on that.
He was only available in one of the two "Custodial Crew"-themed 8-packs, along with Bobby Bluejean, Caution, Clean Dive, Lady Loofah, Loose Deuce, Waxwell, and a blind-packed Message Muffler.

Notes

  • Obviously, there's a difference in Scrubforce's robot-mode theming between toy and cartoon. It's unclear why the change was made, but we can take a few guesses, with one of the less-contentious ones being that cop-Scrubforce would be redundant with human mall-cop Dave.
