| The name or term "Optimus Prime" refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Optimus Prime (disambiguation). |
- Optimus Prime is an Autobot from the EarthSpark continuity family.

Long ago, Optimus Prime took up arms to save Cybertron from Megatron and his Decepticons, a conflict that eventually brought him and his followers to Earth. Although he and the Autobots finally blunted the Decepticon advance and shattered their ranks for good, victory left them stranded on a world that had turned against them.
In his new role as a G.H.O.S.T. operative, Optimus now serves as a liaison between humanity and his own kind as he mops up Decepticon stragglers with the assistance of Elita-1 and the repentant Megatron. The bumpy post-war transition weighs heavily upon him, as do the occasionally-amoral actions of his human colleagues, but Optimus perseveres; only by bringing the people of Earth and Cybertron together can they forge a unified future, and the rise of a new generation of Earth-born "Terrans" might be the first step on the road to permanent peace.
To this end, Optimus tries hard, really really hard, to be #Relatable to the humans, earnestly attempting to put on a non-threatening, light-hearted tone when dealing with them... despite the fact that it smashes headlong into the wall of his natural stoicism and gravitas. He needs handwritten cue cards to remind him to smile. He's given to Dad Jokes that would even give Alex Malto pause. His text messages are overloaded with emojis. But as laughably cringe as his attempts are, it's all utterly sincere. His desire for peace and harmony with the people of Earth burns deep in the core of his spark. He's honestly trying his hardest, no matter how difficult it is. He wouldn't be Optimus if he didn't.

Long ago, Orion Pax was a humble laborer on Cybertron, Disarmed and a former friend of Megatron. The two once co-led a revolution in an attempt to end inequality on their planet; The Official Guidebook eventually, however, their differences drove them apart. Warzone With all-out civil war on the horizon, Orion became the bearer of the Matrix of Leadership, a relic of the Thirteen original Transformers. Thus empowered, Orion became Optimus Prime; Disarmed and Prime subsequently led the Autobots in a lengthy campaign against Megatron's Decepticons for control of the life-giving AllSpark. Although they were now on opposite sides of the war, Optimus believed that there was still good in Megatron's spark and hoped that they could one day be friends again. The Official Guidebook
In 1984, the Autobots and Decepticons travelled to Earth via space bridge, where their war continued for many years. Shortly after arriving on the planet, Optimus chose to scan a semi-truck as his new alternate mode—one of the few shapes that was fast, inconspicuous, and able to accommodate his proportions. The Official Guidebook At some point during the conflict, Optimus and the Autobots formed an alliance with G.H.O.S.T., a clandestine human organization who assisted the Autobots in the war effort. Age of Evolution, Part 1 When Megatron, seeing how radicalized the Decepticons had become, sought to aid the Autobots in ending the conflict, a skeptical Optimus asked his foe to scan an Earth form to prove his word. Although initially hesitant to do so, Megatron eventually scanned a human helicopter. Outtakes After the AllSpark had been retrieved from the Decepticons, Optimus attempted to return the artifact to Cybertron through the space bridge in the hopes that returning the artifact to its rightful place would revitalize the dying planet. However, the Decepticons intercepted the AllSpark, and the chaotic game of hot potato ended with Megatron hurling the AllSpark through the space bridge to Cybertron before Optimus destroyed the portal completely, permanently stranding the Autobots and Decepticons on Earth. Warzone

Over the next fifteen years, Optimus, Megatron, and a number of Autobots established a working relationship with G.H.O.S.T., who'd shifted focus to undercover operations aimed at capturing Decepticon stragglers. Although Optimus genuinely believed that cooperating with G.H.O.S.T. was the best path forward for their race, not all the Cybertronians he worked with saw things the same way, least of all Megatron. Decoy
One evening, Optimus and Elita-1 ambushed Swindle and Hardtop, and despite being unexpectedly attacked by Arachnamechs, managed to capture Hardtop. While later investigating the crash of the truck transporting Hardtop, Optimus and Elita encountered old ally Dot Malto, and were joined by Megatron. Secret Legacy, Part 1 Optimus released some of Wheeljack's drones in an attempt to learn more about the mysterious Arachnamechs. When that turned up nothing, Optimus's group continued the search and found the Arachnamechs in the process of attacking Dot's children and two new Transformers who had been created on Earth. Optimus's belief that Twitch and Thrash would be safest in G.H.O.S.T. custody resulted in the pair being captured by human villain Mandroid who provided a fake G.H.O.S.T. transport. Following the rescues of the two "Terrans", Optimus was instead in favor of Dot taking care of them, and assigned Bumblebee as their teacher. Secret Legacy, Part 2

Bumblebee attempted to contact Optimus to get advice on teaching, only to get Megatron and Elita-1 as Optimus was indisposed. Optimus later returned his calls, but Bee was busy with Family Game Night by that point. Moo-ving In While searching for a dangerous Decepticon who'd been spotted near Witwicky, Optimus found the Terrans and Dot's kids caught in a Decepticon pit trap. He hid them in his trailer in the G.H.O.S.T. base while he took Dot on her orientation. He and Dot later had to extract the kids from Megatron's combat simulation after they went wandering, and smuggled them out of the base, though Optimus was uncomfortable at having to show Dot the accommodations provided for the captured Decepticon. Classified
Optimus and Megatron were lured to an abandoned factory after Ravage, Laserbeak and Frenzy stole Agent Schloder's ID badge, and with his comms down, Optimus was forced to phone Mo Malto to ask Bumblebee to send backup. Bumblebee instead turned up himself, and the trio managed to subdue the three cassettes. They headed back to base and en route were ambushed by Soundwave. With the help of Arcee and the Maltos, Optimus and his team were able to triumph, however Megatron talked Optimus into at least letting the three cassettes go before they took Soundwave to G.H.O.S.T. Decoy

When G.H.O.S.T. held a ceremony celebrating the human/Autobot alliance, Optimus and Megatron found themselves defending the humans against Skywarp and Nova Storm, who had come intending to procure Optimus's left arm for Mandroid. Though the Decepticons were successfully defeated, they avoided being captured. Regrouping with the Maltos and Terrans at a burger bar, Optimus learned that the Terrans had been brought online by a glowing rock and resolved to investigate further. This led them to recover the Emberstone, just in time for Skywarp and Nova Storm to again attack, this time revealing that Megatron and Dot had been captured by Mandroid as barter for Optimus's arm. Age of Evolution, Part 1 Optimus and Bumblebee managed to capture the pair and discovered that the Emberstone had created three more Terrans. Aiming to rescue Dot and Megatron, Optimus came up with a plan for him, Thrash and Twitch to pose as prisoners being brought in by the newborn Terrans. Mandroid quickly saw through the ruse, however it gave the group the opportunity to free Dot and Megatron, and after Mandroid revealed his base was actually a giant mech, the group fought together to destroy it, with Optimus expressing pride and hope in the bonds between the Maltos, both human and Terran. Age of Evolution, Part 2
Sometime after Bumblebee got exposed by G.H.O.S.T., Optimus sent the scout on another undercover mission infiltrating a "Bot Brawl" ring to find the missing Grimlock. Home, Part 1 Optimus met with Dot at the Witwicky Ranger Station where she'd been picking up strange energon readings. They turned out to be Swindle, whom Optimus captured, but in the process Robby's cyber-sleeve was revealed to have the power to manifest a shield. Believing this to be the power of Quintus Prime, Optimus smuggled the Malto family into G.H.O.S.T. HQ so that Teletraan I could scan the sleeves. Mandroid devised a distraction to pull Optimus away, allowing him to trap the kids in the Autobot rec room simulator. Disarmed
After a mass escape by Decepticons, Optimus found that his concerns were being ignored by Executive Agent Croft, who forbade him from entering the tunnels to give pursuit. Disgruntled, he and Megatron went to the entrance to the tunnels where he saw off the ex-Decepticon on a mission to pursue the fugitives. What Dwells Within When Robby's health degraded due to the damage to his cyber-sleeve, Optimus visited the Dugout and expressed his concern that only the Emberstone might be able to help the boy. Prime Time
Concerned by the amount of secrets being kept from him by G.H.O.S.T., Optimus gave Bumblebee the task of infiltrating the HQ and investigating an off-limit area. During later clashes with Croft, Optimus was able to run interference while Bee was carrying out the mission and filled Megatron in on what he was doing. Stowed Away, Stowaways Responding to Hashtag's distress call, Optimus brought a group of Autobots to the Malto farm where they fought Croft's Ghoid soldiers. Though they were victorious, when Optimus confronted Croft directly, she activated a device given to her by Mandroid which shut down Optimus and the other Autobots present. The Battle of Witwicky They were still unconscious when Mandroid arrived back from space in a new semi-robotic form. The Last Hope, Part 1 Reactivated under Mandroid's mind control, Optimus and Elita tracked Bumblebee, Twitch, and Nightshade down. Bumblebee attempted to fight the Autobot leader, but it was only when the Maltobots also got involved and drained Optimus's energon using Mandroid's control spear that Optimus was taken down. Both he and Elita were later revived when Robby and Mo used their cyber-sleeves to reverse the effects of Mandroid's energon-draining superweapon. The Last Hope, Part 2

- Optimus Prime (Tacticon Assortment, 2022)
- Part of the first wave of the EarthSpark "Tacticon assortment", Optimus Prime is a small figure that converts from a small truck into an unposeable robot with just a single step controlled by your fingertip. Unlike most toys below, Optimus is molded with a truck carriage/trailer, which also hides the finger while transforming.

- Optimus Prime (1-Step Flip Changer, 2022)
- TakaraTomy Name: Supatto Change Optimus Prime
- TakaraTomy ID Number: ESS-01
- "1-Step Flip Changer" Optimus Prime is a simple toy that converts in a single step; Pulling back his upper truck cab transforms him into robot mode, and laying him down on a flat surface automatically turns him back into a truck, triggered by his kneecaps. This feature can also be activated by simply pressing his knees without even touching the ground.

- Optimus Prime (Warrior, 2023)
- Released as part of the first wave of EarthSpark Warrior Class toys, Optimus Prime is a 5-inch figure. His action feature is an axe that flips out from the underside of his right arm. His forearms also feature 5mm-compatible hands, though the weapons with longer posts do not fully sit through due to the panel underneath.
- Because of the tight ball-and-socket forearm joints and the shoulder joints on his torso, transforming him into truck mode can be a bit troubling, as the arms can pop off if excessive force is used. The third step on the instructions also erroneously depicts his head being unturned while flipping back to the truck cavity (doing so prevents the head from being tucked in) before later steps show his head correctly rotated.
- Initial preview photos of the toy feature his tires being molded in the same gray color as the unpaintable parts.

- Optimus Prime (Deluxe Class, 2023)
- Released as a part of the second wave of EarthSpark Deluxe Class toys, Optimus Prime is a heavy retool of the Cyberverse Deluxe Class Optimus Prime, sharing the same blaster, crotch, wheels, back, ankle joints, shoulder joints, and neck platform. He transforms into a semi-truck in 19 steps and comes with a handheld Energon axe that is stored underneath his legs in vehicle mode, while the blaster is stored on his back to keep the legs straight. In an undocumented feature, his gun can be stored on his lower back and his axe can be stored on top of his backpack (where there are two storage ports) in robot mode.
- Optimus Prime also includes the left leg of the Build a Figure Mandroid, while the TakaraTomy release doesn't.

- Optimus Prime & Robby Malto (Spin Changer, 2023)
- TakaraTomy ID Number: ESC-01
- Accessories: Robby Malto figurine, Cyber-sleeve shield
- Spin Changer Optimus Prime is a roughly Voyager Class-sized figure that features a spinning gimmick on the upper torso if the included Robby Malto figurine is mounted onto it. Optimus also comes with a small shield that doubles as a Cyber-sleeve shield for Robby. Optimus only features very limited articulation on the elbows and features 5mm-compatible hands.
- The initial preorders made for the TakaraTomy release of the toy will come with an additional "Burning Chainclaw" Battle Master.

- Optimus Prime Battle Base Trailer (2024)
- This Optimus Prime is a repaint of the Battle Base Trailer playset from the Cyberverse toyline. He also features a pop-out axe on his left hand when pushing his back after the gimmick is set up. Because of this, he has no sculpted hand and elbow articulation. The trailer can interact with some of the Warrior or Deluxe Class figures. It also features a pair of pop-out small cannons, activated on the front of the Trailer. The Trailer, when folded open, has a turret that a small figure can sit awkwardly on. A single Warrior Class (or smaller) car can be stored in the trailer in vehicle mode. The trailer attaches by his feet slotting into the front end of the trailer, though it does not turn easily. Through a seeming design fluke, the trailer also attaches to the above Warrior Class Optimus Prime figure in much the same manner.
- In terms of deco, Optimus's black and light blue details are swapped with silver and yellow, while the trailer's ramp detail and the scanner's colors were changed as well.
- The figure was first found on an eBay listing.
