| This is Apocrypha
The content of this page is considered to be apocrypha or pseudocanon. Fiction that is considered pseudocanon generally falls into one of two categories. It is most likely either unofficial fiction from an official creator that is so informative as to the creator's thought process and/or so influential to the fandom as to be worth documenting, or fiction that is published in such a way as to render it unofficial, such as fan works published as ancillary or bonus images/fiction with other official work. As such, new ideas and concepts introduced here may not hold true for work that is completely canonical. |

Alpha Quintesson collects game pieces and sets plans in motion.
Synopsis
[edit]Things are getting worse on Cybertron: Megatron's return has emboldened the Decepticons, and the previous truce between them and the Autobots is slowly eroding. Hapless Autobot Dropshot discovers this for himself when he is accosted by Wheeljack, Thundercracker and Skywarp while on patrol, but before a fight can truly break out, the terrifying spectral form of Starscream, reborn after his death as a "ghost" of pure Energon, appears to send the three Decepticons fleeing. Dropshot is not so lucky, and finds himself drained entirely of Energon by the ethereal, unhinged Starscream.
High Councillor Avalon has become aware of Starscream's actions, and while reporting to Alpha Quintesson on Over-Run's recent investigations into their scheme, suggests manipulating the ghostly Decepticon into removing the nosy Mini-Con for them. The pieces are also falling into place on Alpha Quintesson's side, as Unicron grows close to full reactivation, leaving Optimus Prime, still trapped inside his body, few places to hide. Prime himself can tell that Unicron's resurrection is growing nearer, and fights his way through the chaos-bringer's many internal defenses in hopes of finding and shutting off the steady stream of Energon that is repairing him.
As the Autobots on Earth are preparing for Unicron's inevitable arrival, readying a space bridge that they hope to use to rescue Prime from the monster's body and putting the final touches to Omega Supreme, a distress call comes in from Alterenergy's base in the Mojave Desert, reporting a Terrorcon attack. Jetfire dispatches Grimlock and Swoop to help out, but they are unable to get there before Demolishor (recreated and powered up by Alpha Quintesson) absconds with Kicker.
Back on Cybertron, Over-Run senses the approach of Starscream, and realizes that the Decepticon has sensed his own connection to the Energon-rich core of Cybertron, intending to feed on it through him. Over-Run summons the Omnicons to defend both him and the planet, but Starscream attacks before they arrive.
Within Unicron, Optimus Prime finds his objective: a neural pathway of low-level importance which he hopes he can tap into and through it, disrupt Unicron's Energon flow. Unfortunately, upon doing so, Prime finds himself pulled into Unicron's consciousness, and discovers that the Energon is not coming from Earth, but from Nervissa, another innocent world, devastated by Unicron's Four Horsemen!

Notes
[edit]- This issue was never released. What we know of it comes from writer Simon Furman's blog posts.
- This issue, and the other unreleased issues of Dreamwave's Energon comic, were declared to be "true and accurate" to the Dreamwave Unicron Trilogy universe by a 2015 entry of Ask Vector Prime.
Continuity notes
[edit]- With Dropshot showing up a third time and being trashed yet again, it's safe to say something unfortunate happening to him is intended as a running gag. Indeed, it would carry on in other continuities.
- Wheeljack and Skywarp were previously seen on Cybertron during and after the Unicron battles.
Covers (1)
[edit]- Demolishor attacks Kicker; art by Alex Milne, Ferd Poblete, and Alan Wang.
