Jointron
- The Jointrons are a Maximal subgroup from the Beast Wars II portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Andale! ¡Andale! Arriba! ¡Arriba! Yii-hah!
The jovial Jointron (ジョイントロン Jointoron) brothers don't have time to siesta because they love to fiesta! Not even the horrors of war can dim the energetic spirits of these three caballeros, who never miss an opportunity to shake their maracas, don their sombreros and ay caramba these Meximals are just the worst.
Be it because they're utterly obnoxious, utterly unreliable, or utterly offensive, Lio Convoy has elected to station the Jointron brothers in their own private outpost... far, far away from everybody else. It's almost a shame that these three muchachos are so muy estupido, because their individual abilities are extremely potent and their courage on the battlefield is practically unmatched. Unfortunately, the Jointrons are just so... so... Ay dios mio...
The Jointrons consist of:
- Uno! DJ: La cigarra, mi!
- Dos! Motorarm: El escarabajo rinoceronte, arm!
- Tres! Gimlet: El cangrejo de río, muchas muchas!
They combine to form Tripledacus. Muy gigante!

The Jointrons were originally dispatched by Maximal HQ to the planet Trius, however, their ship took on damage and they had to make a crash-landing on Gaia. They initially stomped the Predacons with their Tripledacus form and soon made "friends" with the Maximals stationed on the planet. Actually, the Maximals couldn't stand them. Overconfident, the Jointrons then attempted to take on the rest of the Predacon army all on their own, but even as Tripledacus they were outmatched. The rest of the Maximals bailed them out, but much to their dismay, the partying Jointrons appeared to learn nothing from the altercation. The Combined Giant, Tripledacus
The Jointrons soon turned one of the Maximals' outposts into a fiesta center, forcing everyone to wear sombreros, ponchos and fake mustaches (further irritating their new comrades). Still intent on defeating the Predacons to bring further fame to themselves among Maximal HQ, the Jointrons sent out a beacon to summon their enemies to their location. The Combatrons Dirge and Thrust got there first, taking the Maximals hostage inside the ship while the Autorollers waited outside with their missiles at the ready. In a shocking move of competency, Gimlet disabled the communications systems so the Preds couldn't contact the Galvaburg II. DJ and Motorarm then proceeded to serve the Combatrons oil until the two became too inebriated to think straight. Lio Convoy eventually returned and the Autorollers were driven off and Dirge and Thrust were captured. Unfortunately, the Jointrons were put in charge of keeping the Combatrons in custody and they soon escaped. The Festive Jointrons

Lio Convoy next stationed the Jointrons in their own outpost far from the Niagara Base and the Yukikaze. That didn't rid the Maximals of their obnoxious new comrades, who made regular reports back to them in the form of a television "corner program", complete with puppet show. The Jointrons again attempted to take the Predacons on by themselves, but were taken down by the Combatrons Starscream and BB, who slimed them with a bacteria bomb. The bacteria left the Jointrons too weak to combine into Tripledacus and the Predacons plotted to drag them back to base and learn their secret of combination. The Maximals then came to the rescue disguised as a giant robot called Jointron II, which they controlled by pooling their energy. The Jointrons caught onto this strategy and pooled their energy together, allowing them to combine and send the Combatrons into retreat. A Fearsome Combination Plan?
Next, Tasmania Kid posed the question: Which of the Jointrons is the leader? Upon realizing that none of them had ever stopped to think about that, the Jointrons began to feud among themselves for leadership. After many competitions, they determined that the one to defeat the Predacons would be worthiest of leadership. The Jointrons stole a Maximal shuttle and attacked a newly constructed base, forcing the Maximals to chase them down and pull their fat out of the fryer when things got too serious. Afterward, the Jointrons agreed that they needed no leader... before soon arguing about it all over again. Who Is the Leader!?

A little while later, the Jointrons learned of Bighorn's infatuation with Scylla. They offered to help him win the love of his "senorita" by hatching a diabolical scheme: They would disguise themselves and kidnap Scylla, then Bighorn would come and "rescue" her, thus winning her undying affection. The Jointrons, clad in masks and capes, kidnapped Scylla by stuffing her in a sack, but attacks from the Combatrons and the Seacons continually forced them to change the meeting place with Bighorn. Eventually, they learned that Scylla was a Seacon, one of the most wanted criminals in the universe, and the Jointrons then decided to turn her in for credit with Maximal HQ. Bighorn eventually "rescued" Scylla from them, but rather than be pleased with him, she caught onto his ruse and beat the Maximal senseless. Bighorn tried to get even with the Jointrons, who quickly fled into the sea and back to their outpost. Face the Setting Sun

The Jointrons continued their pursuit of the Seacons into space, waging a battle with them in Gaia's orbit. The fight between Tripledacus and God Neptune was interrupted by the arrival of the teleport gate, which plowed through both teams, disassembling them. Lio Convoy in Imminent Danger!
The Jointrons later tried to deal with the eruptions of Angolmois Energy caused by Nemesis by using boulders to block them. When they came across the other Maximals using cooling rays to freeze the Angolmois Energy, they got the idea to use an iceberg to seal a particular geyser that was threatening a nearby forest. The Great Angolmois Freezing Tactic When the Maximals set up a launch to get to Nemesis, the Jointrons fused as Tripledacus to help hold off the Predacons before they could interrupt the launch. When the tip of the ramp was broken by the Predacons, Tripledacus used his strength to push it back to its original position and let Lio Convoy's Maximals successfully leave Gaia's atmosphere. When the Angolmois Energy-corrupted Lio Convoy fought Galvatron in the desolate city of Tokyo, Scuba sent out a signal for assistance, which the Jointrons answered. As Tripledacus, they arrived just as Galvatron was beaten, but were knocked out of the sky by the malevolent Lio Convoy. Free the Captured Matrix! The Jointrons were later part of an assembled Maximal force that took off in the Yukikaze to reach Nemesis. All hands survived the destruction of the ship by the Predacons and engaged their enemies in battle on the artificial planet's surface. All Hands, Make a Special Attack on the Evil Planet!
