Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers
The original run of the Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers toyline ended at number 49 and was picked back up in the Scramble City and Transformers 2010 toylines respectively, where the numbering system changed to have two figures sharing an ID number with the addition of a "C" or a "D" at the being that indicated which faction they belonged to (Cybertrons or Destrons). However, some of the reissues in the early 2000s, along with new characters created through exclusive redecos (most of them released under the e-HOBBY exclusive Collector's Edition line), opted to add onto the original numbering system. Some of the original line's mail-order figures that had lacked ID numbers were also given new numbers via the Collector's Edition and The Transformers Collection lines in the upper two-digit range. This makes things pretty messy, to say the least.
For unknown reasons, Takara decided to number the Collector's Edition releases backwards, starting at 99 and then working their way down until 64, leaving a gap from number 50 to 63 that was never filled because Takara simply stopped releasing new redecos of Generation 1 figures that were given new numbers. Another gap from number 78 to 83 was intended for the individual members of the e-HOBBY exclusive "G1 GoBots" set (which is collectively given the number 84), but since they were based on Tonka's GoBots characters—which in turn were based on Bandai's Machine Robo figures—Takara got cold feet and decided not to officially assign them individual names.
In 2006, the Supreme Class Primus toy that would see a re-released in the Cybertron toyline, was originally sold in Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers-branded packaging and asigned him the number ID number 00.

Scramble City to Return of Convoy
As stated above, the original toyline's run and numbering style changed at number 50 onwards, with the following subsequent Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers-branded toylines continuing this new numbering style. This numbering system also featured quite a few gaps, but this was typically used as a point to "reset" the line where a cartoon/franchise isn't considered a "direct sequel" and to bring the "Cybertrons" and "Destrons" back to equal footing. Some of the missing numbers during the run of The Headmasters toyline, such as D-91 and D-92, are likely for the Targetmaster versions of Scourge and Cyclonus, which were never released in Japan. The fact that they are the only two Targetmasters missing, and the two missing numbers also happen to be placed after the other Decepticon Targetmasters makes this seem very likely. This is also backed up by the inclusion of Hot Rod (Hot Rodimus) and Kup's (Cher's) Targetmaster ID numbers established via The Transformers Collection's pack-in material years later and the fact that C-115 is also missing, which would've likely been filled by the Targetmaster version of Blurr had there ever been a version of him released in Japan.
