- Windblade is a Camien Autobot from the Cyberverse continuity family.

Windblade has put herself in charge of keeping her best friend Bumblebee out of trouble, which isn't easy now that he's lost his memories on Earth. It's lucky that this Camien has the skills to back up her stubborn determination and give the Decepticon Seekers a fly for their money! [1]

An immigrant to Cybertron from Caminus, Windblade's Cityspeaker talents gave her the ability to telepathically contact and communicate with other Transformers through her mind. Cube Windblade was good friends with Chromia before she left Caminus, Maccadam's and upon arriving on Cybertron she initially fell in with the egotistical Starscream and his Seeker friends. The group attended a cube match in Iacon, where Windblade first met Bumblebee after the yellow 'bot disguised himself to get into the stadium. After Bumblebee ran afoul of stadium security, Windblade contacted him telepathically and helped him sneak back into the stadium. After helping Bumblebee foil Starscream's plan to ruin the game with a tampered cube, Bumblebee invited her to meet some of his friends at his favorite bar, Maccadam's. Cube After rubbing shoulders with both Optimus and Megatron, Windblade met the bartender, who baffled both her and Bumblebee with some cryptic advice. Maccadam's During these early times on Cybertron, Windblade came to see Mount Helix as one of her favorite places to be. Ghost Town
Some time later, following the rise of Megatron and his Decepticons and the start of the war, Megatron Is My Hero Windblade — now an Autobot — visited Maccadam's, where Chromia unsuccessfully tried to convince her to return to Caminus. Windblade was skeptical when Bumblebee introduced her to a potential Decepticon deserter, though the conversation was cut short when Megatron broke into the bar. Maccadam's
At some point after the loss of Bumblebee's voice, it became clear that Megatron sought to seize control of the AllSpark. Windblade was one of the Autobots who took part in the battle to eject the artifact from Cybertron, taking down both Starscream and Shadow Striker and opening the path for Bumblebee to activate the space bridge that would take the AllSpark offworld. Allspark Optimus soon announced his intention to leave Cybertron and recover the artifact, and though Windblade tried to persuade Bumblebee to stay with her on Cybertron, he too joined the crew of the Ark. Memory On the day of Bumblebee's departure, the two friends visited the ruins of Maccadam's, and were surprised to find that the bar was still open. Maccadam poured them a drink and told the pair that, although they would be separated, they would always remain friends... and informed them that, one day in the future, they would need to find "the king of the dinosaurs." Maccadam's Feeling reassured about her friendship with Bumblebee, she then joined him when Grimlock called the yellow 'bot to the Ark's launch site. There, Windblade finally bade her friend farewell. Memory However, she remained in touch long enough to learn that Ratchet had been able to repair Bumblebee's damaged voice box.

In Prime's absence, Windblade and the other Autobot stragglers fought on, though it soon became clear that the heroes were outnumbered by the Decepticons. Eventually, it became clear that the Ark itself had been lost, and when Megatron realized that the Ark had tracked the AllSpark to the distant world of Earth, the Autobots soon caught word of this revelation. Perceptor was eventually able to repair Cybertron's space bridge, and Windblade travelled to Earth to search for the Autobot starship — a one-way trip, as the space bridge exploded behind her.
Windblade spent a long time on Earth, fruitlessly searching for the AllSpark or the Ark, until she eventually chanced across Bumblebee on Earth, rescuing him from almost falling off a cliff (later, Cheetor would reveal that this is when he first noticed the presence of transformers on Earth Dark Birth). She soon learned that Bumblebee had suffered damage, and was unable to remember her or his mission on Earth. The Decepticon Thundercracker soon showed up to rain on their parade, and bested Windblade with ease. The Seeker then tried to kill Bumblebee using Windblade's sword, but failed thanks to Bumblebee momentarily paralyzing him with his stinger. Windblade then blew the Decepticon off to parts unknown with her fans. She then attempted to connect with Bumblebee's mind and jog his memories with a cortical psychic patch, but this procedure failed and left the two Autobots unconscious after subjecting them to severe pain. Fractured

The cortical psyshic patch also released a powerful energy pulse, alerting the Decepticons Thundercracker and Nova Storm to their location. Windblade, after coming to, immediately took to the skies to engage Nova Storm in a dogfight. She then instructed stinger-deprived Bumblebee to retreat to a nearby mineshaft, after which she used her detachable turbines to bury both Decepticons under a large pile of rubble. She then set off to found the Decepticons' ship, which she thought could be used as additional computing power for the cortical patch procedure, but discovered that Bumblebee had rushed in without listening to her carefully detailed plan about how to infiltrate the ship. Entering the bridge, she set up the cortical patch again to enter Bumblebee's memories, using her Cityspeaker skills to guide him through the process. While Windblade hoped to recover the current location of the Ark, Bumblebee only managed to recover a small fragmented memory detailing the ship's launch... and memories of Windblade herself, finally recognizing her as his old friend. The happy moment was unexpectedly cut short when Starscream contacted the ship to know how his scouts were doing... only for Bumblebee to immediately seize the communicator and blow their cover, to Windblade's chagrin. Memory
After their cover was blown, Windblade and Bumblebee hijacked the Decepticon scout ship to get away, setting a course through a nearby mountain range. Bumblebee's piloting skills were so bad the scout ship nearly crashed into two mountains and caused the decapitation of a tree so Windblade told Bumblebee to land near some radio towers, even though there was only one visible. She also told Bumblebee that she would do all of the flying which made the little scout a bit sad. Later, she once again set up the cortical patch. She told Bumblebee to access the memory of the Allspark to help him remember what it was. Windblade confirmed Bumblebee's assessment that the Allspark contains infinite life before directing him to a memory which showed how they lost the Allspark. After the memory ended, Windblade reminded Bumblebee that the "awesome guy" was Optimus Prime. Windblade commented on how Bumblebee's memory was repairing itself. Allspark
After the memory had ended, Windblade and Bumblebee had a chat about the other Autobots. Windblade told Bumblebee that they might not have woken up and were still on the Ark.The Journey

After going through Bumblebee's memory, Windblade noticed the mountains in the background. Tracking the mountains to the Himalayas, Windblade found Bumblebee's abandoned stasis pod and blaster before she was ambushed by Thundercracker, Nova Storm and Slipstream. Though briefly interrogated, she managed to escape and return to Bumblebee, giving him back his blaster.Whiteout
When Bumblebee began to remember the peaceful revolutionary Megatron was, Windblade began directing him to the hints that Megatron had never been altruistic before the scout found the memory of Megatron destroying his voice box. Though shaken, Bumblebee found his optimism soon enough, happy that he could talk in his mind. Megatron Is My Hero When Windblade was trying to datamine the Decepticon shuttle, Bumblebee found a Cube, Windblade helping him regain his memories of the sport. Though he was eager for a round, both had forgotten the rules. Cube
After failing to track a Decepticon signal, Windblade returned to the shuttle to find Acid Storm and Thrust attempting to board. As she forced them off the ship, she found Bumblebee was using the patch. Leading the Seekers on a merry chase, aided by some remotely controlled weapon systems, Windblade shook off her pursuers, returning to find Bumblebee had woken up. Terminal Velocity After failing to help Bumblebee rediscover some of his wartime prowess the physical way, Windblade decided to help him by jogging his memory. After looking through two memories, the two friends returned to their sparring. Shadowstriker
After a space battle, Windblade was surprised when Bumblebee mentioned visiting Maccadam's. After landing in a cave that looked like Bumblebee, Windblade plugged into her friend's mind, discovering that his memories were beginning to self-repair. Reviewing Bumblebee's memories of Maccadam, the two realized that the barkeep was giving them helpful prophecies, setting them on the path to find the "king of the dinosaurs". Maccadam's

As the two tried to figure out what a dinosaur was, Windblade was remotely ejected from the patch by Shockwave who had likewise taken remote control of the ship and guided it towards Slipstream's forces. After outsmarting the Seekers, Windblade told the now awake Bumblebee to press the red button, activating its self-destruct. Though now trapped on Earth with no way to repair Bumblebee's memories, the Autobots counted themselves lucky to be alive. Sabotage
As the duo struggled to blend in to Earth, Windblade suggested splitting up to find the Ark before Bumblebee detected an Autobot distress beacon. Following it, the two found Teletraan-X, a backup system for the Ark's computer. Unfortunately this turned out to be a trap by the Seekers only for their torture of Bumblebee to trigger the drone's security protocols. As the two Autobots fled through the labyrinthine structure, Windblade noted that Teletraan-X was their first priority before they were separated in the winding corridors. After briefly being separated, Teletraan-X revealed that he had a map. As the Autobots headed for the exit, the Seekers caught up with them, Windblade choosing to stay behind and hold them off so Bumblebee could escape. Teletraan-X Four and half hours and some self-reflection later, Bumblebee turned back and charged to save Windblade. Matrix of Leadership

Captured, Windblade was subjected to a cortical psychic patch though its slow speed angered Slipstream. To speed up the process, Acid Storm and Thundercracker jacked up the power, causing a burst of energy that knocked every Seeker unconscious. Freeing herself, Windblade resumed data mining and found an Autobot signal. When the Seekers began to reboot, Windblade fought her way out of the complex only to be grabbed by Slipstream as she climbed the ladder to freedom. Before she could be captured again, Bumblebee showed up at just the right time to lend a hand. After a quick reunion, the two set off for the Autobot signal. Siloed
After Teletraan-X had been reprogrammed to accept instructions from Windblade (though he still called her "not crew"), the three found the immobile Autobot buried outside a human city. As the Autobot was excavated and identified as Grimlock, Windblade recognized that he was Maccadam's prophesied "king of the dinosaurs". Out of energon, the Autobots redirected the humans' power grid to revive Grimlock. Operating on instinct and vague memories, Grimlock set off for the base he'd built for himself. When he entered it, his logs triggered Grimlock's higher functions, allowing him to revert to robot mode and greet his old friends. King of the Dinosaurs
Thanks to Grimlock's base, the Autobots detected the arrival of a new Decepticon ship armed with a magnetic disruptor. Needing only to disable one-half of the ship, the Autobots travelled to the North Pole. As Windblade drew the attention of the Seekers, Grimlock and Bumblebee managed to destroy the ship, saving Earth. The Extinction Event

Back at Grimlock's base, the Dinobot revealed a map of Pangaea which Teletraan used to place the Ark at Mount St. Hilary. When the quartet arrived, they were ambushed by the Seekers, Windblade managing to down Slipstream. When the group recovered, Teletraan-X revealed that the Decepticon fleet was approaching Earth. Their resolve strengthened, the Autobots breached the volcano where they found the Ark. Awaken Sleeping Giants
Their joy was short-lived as the Decepticons returned, now revealed to have been tracking them via Shockwave's drones. Fighting with the Seekers again, Windblade quickly found herself outnumbered only for the tide to turn when Shockwave reactivated the volcano and Teletraan-X managed to upload himself into the Ark. Covered by the turrets, Windblade retreated inside the ship just before Teletraan raised its shields, protecting it from the volcano. Teletraan then reactivated the slumbering Autobots just before the Decepticon fleet arrived. Eruption
Over the next decades, the Autobots and Decepticons continued their war across Earth. Initially they fought in secret, though Windblade was captured on video, transforming into her jet mode on a public road. When the war later become known to humanity, Windblade fought Megatron at a power plant, a battle that captured a blooper of Megatron tripping over power lines. During or after 2007, the Decepticons had erected a Planet Smasher on the moon, Windblade saving Bumblebee during a moment of distraction. When the Decepticons retreated behind a force field, the Autobots had to wait for Wheeljack to disable it. After destroying the Planet Smasher, the Autobots followed the Decepticons into the moon. Sea of Tranquility After fighting their way to the Decepticon control room, it blew up in their face. Discovering that the Decepticons were using planetary engines to slam the moon into the Earth, the Autobots managed to reverse the engines and then made a broadcast to Earth. Bad Moon Rising

When Grimlock drank some of Wheeljack's Hyper Fuel, the overcharged Dinobot ran through the Ark. After a failed attempt to ground him with the Mega Magnetizer, Optimus warned all Autobots to keep their distance. Ignoring this, Windblade tried to use her fans to stop Grimlock only to wind up stuck to him and Hot Rod. Nonetheless, she was able to direct him to go outside to not wreck everything. At the exit, Bumblebee fired an untested weapon at them creating a black hole. While Hot Rod was pulled free, Windblade was left stuck to the Dinobot as Optimus contained both him and the black hole with shots from the the force shield blaster. Trapped within the forcefield for a day, Windblade was forced to wait until Grimlock finally burnt through his energy. The Visitor
When the Autobots later learnt that the AllSpark had created a series of GroundBridge portals, Windblade was part of the mapping effort, allowing them to find the AllSpark. The portal to it however accepted only Optimus, leaving the Autobots to do nothing but wait. Optimus eventually returned with the AllSpark's guardian, Cheetor, saying that the AllSpark had been taken by Starscream. Trials
After everyone got to know Cheetor, they launched an attack on the Nemesis. As the two sides fought in the warship's main hangar bay, Cheetor revealed that the AllSpark was not present, forcing Megatron to admit that Starscream had gone rogue. To retrieve the artifact, the two sides agreed to parlay. Dark Birth
Part of Optimus' entourage in the subsequent negotiations, Windblade grew frustrated at Soundwave playing increasingly loud music. Before a fight could break out, Megatron ordered everyone out. Hovering by the meeting hall even until night, Windblade was approached by the wounded Slipstream. Managing to convince her foe to listen to him, Slipstream revealed that the Starscream was in the old missile silo. Taking this seriously, Windblade began leading Slipstream to Optimus and Megatron only for Bludgeon to impale the Seeker from behind. Windblade's attack on Bludgeon caused a fight to break out, ending the negotiations. After the Decepticons left, Cheetor informed Windblade that Slipstream had returned to the AllSpark. Parley

Following the information given by Slipstream, Windblade investigated the abandoned missile silo together with Bumblebee, Cheetor, and Hot Rod. Unfortunately Cheetor quickly informed them that the allspark wasn't there, and neither was anyone else. They returned to the ark to report this. Back on the ark they received a distress call from the decepticons. Although Windblade expressed no concern over this, when Optimus stated that they would help the decepticons she joined the mission. While exploring the nemesis they ran into several decepticons that were frozen in place. Windblade scanned each of them, reaching the same conclusion every time: they were almost entirely drained of energon. Eventually they ran into a group of Scraplets and were forced to split up. Windblade was able to stay with Optimus and helped him when he was overwhelmed by scraplets. When the scraplets started backing away, the two autobots first noticed Megatron frozen on the ground in front of them and then Starscream turned around to reveal himself. Starscream claimed that Alpha Trion - in actuality a scraplet - wanted the Matrix of Leadership back. Windblade responded that this would never happen and rushed to attack Starscream, although she was quickly overwhelmed and drained by the scraplets. This left Windblade to watch helplessly as the scraplets attacked Optimus. When Cheetor fought Starscream after this he was able to briefly reach the allspark, and the allspark's power restored the drained bots - including Windblade. Starscream retreated and Megatron let the autobots leave without a fight. Starscream's Children
Windblade returned from a scouting mission to report that there was no sign of Starscream, the seekers, or the allspark. After this she headed right back out to keep searching. Spotted
Windblade watched Bludgeon in secret as he trained by fighting a group of scraplets. After he killed them all however, she revealed herself and attacked Bludgeon. During the fight she taunted him for stabbing Slipstream in the back. She also spoke highly of Slipstream for her willingness to look past their differences and expressed her anger at Bludgeon for killing her, stating it as the reason she was fighting Bludgeon now. However, this did not go well for her. Bludgeon disarmed her and was ready to strike, but Wheeljack showed up just in time to save Windblade. Secret Science
When Sky-Byte attacked the ark, Windblade rushed out to confront him along with a few other autobots. She listened when Jetfire told his tale. Infinite Vendetta
Windblade was part of the autobot mission to take the allspark back from Starscream. They quickly ran into the decepticons but before a fight could break out Starscream and his scraplets showed up. Windblade and Jetfire tried to approach him through the air but were immobilized through the power of the allspark - which Starscream was now fused with. He forced the autobots and decepticons to kneel and started draining their sparks. Optimus was able to separate Starscream from the allspark by using the power of the matrix of leadership, but this left both Starscream and Optimus himself unconscious. Chaos broke out immediately. Windblade quickly assessed the situation, told Bumblebee and Grimlock to guard Optimus, and told Cheetor to come with her to claim the allspark. Windblade nearly reached the allspark but was interrupted by Shadow Striker. Once Cheetor exclaimed that he had the allspark Windblade quickly used her fans to get away from Shadow Striker and ordered the autobots to roll out. She landed next to Bumblebee to help him drag Optimus to safety, but Grimlock quickly arrived to carry him instead. Once everyone was safe, even including Starscream, the autobots went home. I Am The Allspark
With the allspark in possession, the autobots planned to return to Cybertron. In order to do so they needed to get past the decepticons to reach the spacebridge. The autobots planned to draw the decepticons away with five remotely controlled spaceships. Windblade piloted one of them and declared that only the ship that carried the allspark needed to reach the spacebridge - the decepticons would have to destroy them all. In reality, the allspark was on none of the ships and neither were the pilots. She managed to make two decepticon ships fly into eachother during this. Windblade's ship was the last to be shot down, less than a second after Jettfire's. By then they had successfully drawn the nemesis away from the Space bridge, leaving a clear path for the ark to reach it and travel to Cybertron. Unfortunately the decepticons noticed the ark and Sky-Byte crashed through the windows, attacking Windblade and the rest of the autobots on the bridge. Then the nemesis attacked and the situation looked dire until Cheetor was able to use the allspark to restore the ark. The autobots then watched as the spacebridge was seemingly blown up and they were left with no other option than to go back to Cybertron without it. Escape From Earth
Windblade attended the party to celebrate the autobot victory. She accepted Wheeljack's allspark connected badge and joined Bumblebee's dancing when asked. When Starscream tampered with the devices to make everyone aggressive this affected Windblade too. She even fought Bumblebee and later tried to attack Optimus and Cheetor, before she was redirected towards Drift. After the devices were disabled, she rejoined the party with everyone else. Party Down

While travelling to Cybertron, the ark ended up near a planet on which the titan Croaton laid dormant in city mode. They got close enough that the titan was able to connect with Windblade, taking control of her and making her act strange. Her cityspeaker markings glowed the entire time. She took the allspark and started making her way out of the ark. When she ran into Bumblebee and Cheetor she ignored both of them, even blowing them away with her fans when they questioned her about the allspark. She managed to leave the ark with the allspark and flew to the nearby planet, more specifically to Croaton. Optimus, Bumblebee, Cheetor, and Hot Rod came after her to bring her and the allspark back. When they found her, she was digging through a small pile of rubble. Hot Rod tried to approach her but she responded with anger and threw him away. Immediately afterwards she transformed and flew away. She landed next to a blocked door and used her blade to hack away at the blockade. She succeeded, revealing the door itself which she was able to open. She walked inside and turned back, watching silently as the doors closed on Hot Rod when he tried to reach her. Behind the door was an elevator which she went down. She made her way through the titan, stopping again when Bumblebee triggered a trap behind her. Again she watched silently as the doors closed between her and the autobots, though this time Cheetor made it through. She fought Cheetor and defeated him, she was ready to strike with her blade when the rest of the bots were able to enter and tried to talk her down. In response to Optimus she spoke for the first time, though she spoke with Croaton's voice, and told him to stay back. She then threw her blade into the ground and used the allspark. Cheetor asked what she had done and a giant face appeared - the face of Croaton, the titan they were all inside of. When Windblade spoke again, she spoke with her own voice and her cityspeaker markings were no longer glowing. She handed the allspark back to Cheetor and introduced Croaton, informing the others that he would speak through her. Her eyes turned red and her cityspeaker markings started to glow again as she floated upwards. Through her Croaton explained how he came to the planet and how he lost his citizens, getting damaged in the process. When he sensed the allspark he called out to Windblade and asked for her help. After explaining this he transformed into his robot form and stated his intent to find his citizens. He then held the autobots out on his hand and thanked Windblade. She wished him good luck and said it was time to leave. Croaton offered the autobots their shuttle and they parted ways. Ghost Town
Windblade stayed on the bridge of the ark during a particularly boring part of the journey back to Cybertron. When the ark was hit by an electromagnetic storm this left her in standby mode with all other bots on the ship. She was eventually unfrozen along with everyone else. Perfect Storm
In an attempt to return to Cybertron faster to respond to an urgent message from Chromia, Optimus decided to take the crew through a spacebridge that Wheeljack was able to repair. This brought them to Unspace. Here the autobots found a duplicate ark which soon disintegrated due to the effects of unspace. Another duplicate ark approached, this time with a duplicate crew including a duplicate Windblade. All of the bots said the same things at the same times with the same movements - with a small exception as one Windblade blinked, startling the other. The two Windblades explained why they went to a spacebridge to one another which revealed one difference: in one universe the message was sent by Perceptor instead of Chromia. A third ark showed up. Unfortunately they didn't escape unspace fast enough and one ark and its crew was lost. Fortunately many more arks showed up and together they were all able to escape unspace. The Crossroads
Windblade returned from a scouting mission together with Jetfire and reported that there was no decepticon activity that was visible from the air. Later she watched Chromia's message again with Optimus and said that she tried to reach Chromia but wasn't able to. Battle For Cybertron I
While the ark was destroyed, all of the autobots had evacuated the ark before that. After this the autobots approached the Threshold of the Well where the decepticons had gathered. In the ensuing battle Windblade worked with Jetfire to deal with the seekers. Battle For Cybertron II
When Optimus reached the entrance to the well his path was blocked by a group of scraplets and he informed Windblade that they would need to find another way. Windblade found a place to land away from the fighting and contacted Teletraan-X to ask whether it knew of any other way down. Unfortunately Teletraan-X informed her that the well was designed as the only way down. However, it had detected two autobot signals and Windblade immediately tried to reach out with her cityspeaker abilities. She was able to telepathically contact Chromia who knew another route to reach the well of allsparks and she relayed this information to Hot Rod. She returned to fighting the seekers in the air until Teletraan-X informed her that it had found Vector Sigma. She told Wheeljack to meet her there and asked him how to destroy Vector Sigma. Before Wheeljack arrived Bludgeon showed up and attempted to attack Windblade from behind. Teletraan-X placed itself between Bludgeon and Windblade to protect her and got damaged. Windblade then fought Bludgeon. Battle For Cybertron III

Windblade and Bludgeon continued to fight when Wheeljack entered the room. With Windblade keeping Bludgeon busy Wheeljack was able to work on destroying Vector Sigma. He eventually sprayed Vector Sigma with unspace. Only a few moments later Windblade broke Bludgeon's sword and kicked him towards Vector Sigma and into unspace - presumably leading to his death. She told him that this was for Slipstream, finally avenging her. Windblade then reported the successful destruction of Vector Sigma to Optimus. Soon after, she saw the effects of the allspark being returned to the well. Battle For Cybertron IV
When the Quintessons arrived on Cybertron they placed every bot they could find into a virtual reality where they watched a parade in an endless timeloop. In this state everyone's sparks were diminishing in strength over time. Windblade was also placed in this loop, where she talked to Chromia and tried to talk to Bumblebee as well. The Loop
Hot Rod wanted to wake up the titan Iaconus to help against the Quintessons but found out that he would need the help of a cityspeaker for that. This led him to turn his focus to waking up Windblade from the loop. He led a small group of bots in a plan to help her understand the situation she was in and break free from it. Perceptor, Dead End, and Whirl approached Windblade in her physical location. Perceptor attached a device to her that could interrupt the signal of the loop and allow her to see what happened at the location of her body rather than what happened inside the virtual reality. Hot Rod and Clobber approached Windblade inside the loop with a Cortical psychic patch and Hot Rod tried to warn Windblade about what she would see. With this she was able to see Perceptor, Whirl, and Dead End as well as the Quintessons that soon attacked them. Unfortunately one of the Quintessons noticed the device that interrupted the loop and destroyed it. Windblade quickly forgot what she had seen, instead watching the parade and cheering for Optimus. Hot Rod's group was forced to retreat and leave Windblade in the loop. The Trial
Eventually Perceptor convinced everyone to transform - which was how bots left the loop - by creating a group of Air Hammers. This freed every bot that hadn't been fully drained of life, including Windblade. The Scientist

With both autobots and decepticons freed from the loop, the threat of the Quintessons wasn't over yet. Hot Rod and Soundwave made autobots and decepticons do training exercises together so they could learn to get past their differences. When Windblade approached the training room for her turn however, they informed her that she would be doing something else. They brought her to Iaconus's cityspeaker chamber, explaining that they would need Iaconus but weren't able to wake him up. But they weren't cityspeakers, and Windblade was. She tried to wake up Iaconus and stood on the platform. With a beam of light she floated upwards with glowing cityspeaker markings and it seemed to go well, but then she started reacting as if she was in pain. She activated her fans to blow herself out of the beam of light and interrupt the process. Maccadam entered the room and told Windblade that trying to wake Iaconus up could destroy her. He also insisted that this was not the right time for her to wake Iaconus up. Although Windblade wanted to try again, Hot Rod decided against it. The plan would instead be for Optimus to bring a bomb to the tower of the Quintessons and blow it up. Windblade was one of the bots that helped to cover his approach. When the Sharkticons blocked the cybertronians she tried to attack Lord Gnaw but he threw her into a building. This left her to watch from the top of the building as Lord Gnaw detonated the bomb Optimus was carrying. After the explosion she tried to contact Hot Rod and Optimus, but got no reaction. With the dire situation the cybertronians were in, she decided to fly back to Iaconus to make another attempt at waking him up. After a moment of hesitation, she stepped onto the platform and started the process. Although it hurt her she was able to partially awaken Iaconus, enough to raise him partially above the ground and scare the sharkticons away. Maccadam interrupted the process by jumping through the beam of light and carrying Windblade out of it. He told her he had lost too many cityspeakers this way. The Alliance
The cybertronians had a new plan which involved distracting the Quintessons so a small group could sneak onto their ship. As part of this Windblade led a group of flying bots to distract the Judge. The plan succeeded and both the Quintesson ship and Judge were destroyed, though a new Judge emerged with Starscream leading. The Judge
Judge Starscream quickly defeated and captured the cybertronians. Soundwave was able to create a distraction to start an escape attempt, but only Windblade was able to get away. The End Of The Universe I
She returned to Maccadam's and found that it had been taken over by a group of sharkticons. Despite the strict rule against fighting, Maccadam allowed Windblade to fight the sharkticons. At first she fought them with only her fists. Eventually there was only one sharkticon left, Gnaw. She used her sword to fight Gnaw and although she got injured she was able to defeat him. Maccadam offered Windblade a drink and Windblade commented that he didn't allow fighting. He laughed and told her that he could make an exception for her. Windblade then told him that she would have to wake up Iaconus, to which Maccadam agreed. He warned her that there were enemies everywhere on the way to the cityspeaker chamber, but that he would help her fight them. Together they made their way through sharkticons and Quintessons, until they reached the cityspeaker chamber. Here Maccadam warned Windblade that he and the other citizens set up a psychic trap in Iaconus to prevent any cityspeaker from waking him up again. Although Windblade wanted him to just tell her how to disable the trap, he only told her that she had what she needed and ran off to keep anyone from entering the chamber. Windblade stepped onto the platform and made another attempt to wake up Iaconus. In his mind she set off the trap by accident, but when she remembered Maccadam's advice she reached for Stormfall and used it to disable the trap. With the trap disabled she introduced herself to Iaconus and asked him to respond. After a few attempts, he did. Finally truly awakened, Iaconus rose from the ground. The End Of The Universe II
Inside the mind of Iaconus she asked for an exterior visual. This allowed her to see that Iaconus was destroying the city. She argued with him, insisting that he had to listen to her, and told him that he should focus on fighting Judge Starscream. Iaconus did listen to her and started running towards the Judge, but Croaton fell from the sky - wrapped in Quintesson wires - to stand in his way. The two titans fought until Windblade noticed that Judge Starscream seemed to control Croaton and Iaconus made an attempt to take out Judge Starscream. Iaconus soon gained the upper hand against Croaton but was prevented from landing a finishing blow when Judge Starscream used unspace to destroy Iaconus's head, killing him. The End Of The Universe III

The abrupt loss of Iaconus's mind left Windblade unconscious until Laserbeak woke her up. She then received a message from Optimus that the fight was not over. After this she noticed Croaton destroying everything and stated that he must be stopped. She landed on Croaton and tried to reach out telepathically to talk to him, but she got no response. Laserbeak created an opening for her to enter Croaton. She used this to reach the cityspeaker chamber and went into Croaton's mind. In here he was able to speak to her and explained that the Quintesson technology controlled all of his functions. In order to free him, Windblade used Stormfall and split into five copies of herself so she could destroy the Quintesson technology The End Of The Universe IV. She succeeded but the overexertion shattered her mind, scattering parts of her across Cybertron Thunderhowl. When Croaton did not hear a response from Windblade, he carried her away from the battlefield to find a place to rest. The End Of The Universe IV

In the aftermath of the battle against the Quintessons, Cybertron was split into two areas. One for autobots and one for decepticon. Croaton had settled down - with the unconscious Windblade still with him - in what would become a decepticon area. Shadow Striker found Windblade and did what she could to help her in secret. This left Windblade in a stable but still unconscious state. Meanwhile Bumblebee searched for Windblade, breaking the rules to enter decepticon territory. This eventually led him to Croaton's cityspeaker chamber where he found Shadow Striker rather than Windblade. Shadow Striker took him to Windblade and explained her situation. She then told Bumblebee to take Windblade and run. He ran into several hostile groups before Whirl reached him to help carry Windblade to safety. Even then a group of seekers stopped them before they could get back across the border. Even Megatron showed up to prevent the group from leaving decepticon territory. However, Optimus showed up just in time. Not wanting to restart the war, Megatron backed down and let Bumblebee and Whirl leave with Windblade. Later Ratchet provided medical care to Windblade but claimed that there was nothing more he could do. Chromia agreed with this but said there might be something she could do. Enemy Line
Chromia explained to Bumblebee that when a cityspeaker overexerted themself their mind could shatter and the shards would be scattered. Additionally these pieces would typically end up in powerful artifacts. A device was made for these cases, a psychic tracker that could help find the pieces and bring them back. While no one had been able to fully restore a cityspeaker before, Chromia was confident that this time would be different. Chromia and Bumblebee tracked the signal into a dangerous forest that contained the Crystal City. After they got past various obstacles and picked up a new ally in Thunderhowl, they reached the Crystalline King. Windblade's psychic shard was inside this and it generated several crystalline clones of Windblade to fight the bots. Bumblebee was able to reach and destroy it, and Chromia collected the first of Windblade's shards to return to her body. Thunderhowl
The next shard was tracked to Luna 3, the forbidden moon. On Chromia's recommendation Bumblebee was able to contact Meteorfire to help him get there. This moon turned out to be haunted by an Obicular-class parasitic entity, which Windblade's shard had lodged into. Bumblebee was able to power up and destroy this entity, after which he could collect another one of Windblade's shards. Alien Hunt! With Meteorfire And Cosmos
A third shard was detected below the energon rivers. Bumblebee found an entire society living under these rivers. Affluous was the leader of this society, though it was later discovered that he had created a tower that prevented anyone in range from transforming. Windblade's shard was lodged in this tower and Bumblebee was able to retriever her shard after destroying the tower. Journey To The Valley Of Repugnus

Chromia returned the shards that had been found to Windblade's body, leaving only two left to find. Before the search could be resumed however, Hammerbyte crashed through the wall and stole Windblade's body, taking her to the Argon Sea. Bumblebee and Chromia entered the sea in pursuit and received a telepathic call for help from Windblade. It soon became clear that Hammerbyte had been under control of the Dweller, a recently reawakened titan, when he abducted Windblade. He had brought her to the Dweller's cityspeaker chamber. When Chromia reached this chamber the Dweller spoke through Windblade to explain that Windblade's psychic shard awoke him and he had brought Windblade to him so she could make him whole again and all could become his citizens. Although the titan had returned Windblade's shard to her, she was still missing one and so she was still unconscious during all of this. Chromia rightfully called out how creepy all of this was. Chromia, Bumblebee, and Hammerbyte were able to rescue Windblade from the Dweller and leave. Dweller In The Depths
Optimus learned that Windblade's last shard was inside Megatron's Matrix that Megatron took with him from another universe. This Matrix would need to be destroyed to free her. Dweller In The Depths He immediately mobilized all forces and made a plan to gain access to and destroy Megatron's Matrix. Silent Strike

Inside Megatron's Matrix, Windblade's final missing shard was conscious and recognized the names of the Primes. Optimus Prime took shape and explained where she was. Then he continued, mentioning that he had only met Windblade once. Windblade was confused by this, which was not helped by Optimus's explanation that she was only a shard of Windblade. He also told her that she needed to destroy the Matrix she was in. Outside Megatron's Matrix a struggle ensued for this Matrix which resulted in the Megatron from that Matrix's universe using it in a direct Matrix to Matrix fight against Optimus. It seemed like he would win but the shard of Windblade destroyed his Matrix from inside out, giving Optimus a chance to gain the upper hand. With the Matrix destroyed Bumblebee collected Windblade's fifth and last shard. She was soon restored to consciousness and the autobots celebrated her return. The Other One
At the signing of the peace treaty Windblade was part of the autobot delegation that stood with Optimus during the signing. She was frozen in time by a group of mercenaries along with everyone else. Nightbird even stole her sword during this. Eventually she was freed along with everyone else. The Immobilizers
When Astrotrain warned the cybertronians of a threat worse than the other Megatron, the leaders of cybertron - including Windblade - discussed what to do. Windblade left this meeting at some point, but later called Optimus to tell him Cybertron was under attack. However, the situation was more complicated as the invading bots - Megatron's perfect decepticons - were only attacking each other. The autobots made the first attempt to stop the fighting. Windblade received a force shield blaster to use for this, as well as dropping gravity modulators on the bots. The decepticons's attempt also failed, and the next solution was one offered by Tarn, one of the perfect decepticons who claimed to be different. Instead he betrayed the cybertronians and declared that the decepticons and autobots were at war once more. Windblade struggled to fight the perfect decepticons together with Hot Rod and the Dinobots. She called for a retreat and left with Hot Rod while the dinobots held off the perfect decepticons. The autobots were able to gather and create a plan to defeat Tarn. Wheeljack equipped everyone with the same teleporters used by the perfect decepticons. Windblade used this to teleport into the arena where Tarn was about to deactivate Optimus and blew Tarn away with her fans. The autobots and decepticons all gathered to fight Tarn and his army. During the battle, Teletraan-X even helped Windblade - though it still called her not-crew. Eventually Soundwave sacrificed himself to stop Tarn. Later Hot Rod gave a speech at Maccadam's in Soundwave's honor. Afterwards Windblade joined Optimus and Bumblebee outside and mentioned she wanted to visit Caminus with Chromia. Optimus then talked about his own plans to simply enjoy the peace, entrusting the leadership of Cybertron to Hot Rod, Windblade, Bumblebee, and Shadow Striker. The group then hugs. The Perfect Decepticon
Alternate universes
There were several universes in which Windblade was part of the crew of the ark when it got stuck in unspace. At least one Windblade did not make it out of unspace in time, but many others did. The Crossroads
In one specific universe Windblade only met Optimus Prime once. This was the universe where Megatron killed Optimus early on, which is likely the reason Windblade never met him again. The Other One

Cyberverse

- Windblade (Scout Class, 2018, 2021)
- Action Attack: "Turbine Thrash"
- Scout Class Windblade is a Legends-sized mold that transforms (if by transform, we mean bending her frontwards with her legs twisting 180 degrees) from a robot into a
Gerwalk mode"transformational mode" jet. She also features a "Turbine Thrash" Action Attack gimmick, which pops out light blue effects when activated. Unfortunately, due to size limitations, Windblade does not feature any 5mm-compatible hands.
- Windblade was released twice: First in 2018 in the original Cyberverse packaging design, and then again in 2021 in the Bumblebee: Cyberverse Adventures subline imprint packaging refresh.

- Windblade (Warrior Class, 2018, 2021)
- TakaraTomy name: Wing Slicer Windblade
- TakaraTomy release date: July ??? 2019
- TakaraTomy ID number: TCV-03
- Action Attack: "Cyclone Strike"
- Released as part of the second wave of Cyberverse Warrior Class lineup, Windblade is a Deluxe-sized figure that converts from robot to jet and back. Her "Cyclone Strike" Action Attack gimmick is activated by sliding the nosecone assembly on her back up and down, which, if done quickly enough, causes the front half of her wings to swing upwards. This triggers a mechanism that spins the front halves of the turbines on the wings.
- Care must be taken to position her arms properly, however, or they might impede movement of the turbines. Unlike most Warrior Class toys, and despite the depiction in her stock photo, Windblade's head cannot swivel to any great degree without trimming her collar, which allows it to freely pivot on a loose mushroom joint.
- Windblade sports 5mm compatible hands and a 3mm hole behind her waist, though as a panel from jet mode blocks it in robot mode (without rotating it), it mainly serves to mount the jet mode.
- Windblade is the first and only Warrior Class figure released for TakaraTomy's Japanese markets.
- Like the Scout Class figure, Warrior Class Windblade was also released twice: First in 2018 in the original Cyberverse packaging design, and then again in 2021 in the line's final Dinobots Unite subline imprint packaging refresh.

Notes

- As with some of the Cyberverse cast, Windblade's design draws on the evergreen design (at right) also used for her Generation 1 counterpart. However, the design has a lot of changes to the point where it is not immediately obvious that it is based on the evergreen design more than one of the other, similar Windblade designs. Among the changes include a color-blocked paint job, larger optics, and retractable wings.
- Sophia Isabella's portrayal of Windblade is an imitation of Kristy Wu's performance as Robots in Disguise Windblade.
