Blue Planet (GS)

This article is about the Generation 1-adjacent planet. For the movieverse planet, see Blue Planet (Classified).
The plot's complicated, maybe it's Earth?

Existing within the Precursor World, the oddly familiar water-covered Blue Planet (青の星 Ao no Hoshi) is the homeworld of the Beast People and the headquarters of the Blue Order.

It is also (spoilers) the planet mode of Neo Primus (ネオプライマス Neo Puraimasu), a young Primacron's first foray into planetary scaled, Angolmois fueled, universe destroying robots.

Precursor World

[edit]
Maybe not.

The Vok of the next universe attacked the Blue Planet as part of their efforts to alter the timeline. Super Megatron comic 2 In response to this, Primus, formerly known as the Oracle, made use of his power to pluck Optimus Prime and Galvatron from 2011 of the G1 World into orbit around the Blue Planet; there, he gifted Optimus the Silver Matrix and tasked them with sorting the local pest problem. Optimus used the Star Power within to upgrade into his future self, Star Convoy, and made short work of the Vok's Novaroids. Galvatron was left behind, where he started plotting his own upgrade from the future. Star Convoy comic He was soon picked up by the visiting Turtler and Halfshell, Seacons comic 1 and the resulting Angolmois Energy-upgraded Seacons' fight forced Star Convoy to the planet's surface, where he dispatched his trailer to protect the native denizens. Seacons comic 5

The battle was soon joined by the reborn Galvatron, now Super Megatron, who blew up King Poseidon Super Megatron comic 1 and, after bringing his opponent to the nearby city, threatened to eat a pair of Beast People if not given the Silver Matrix. An ashen Star Convoy complied and Super Megatron bonded with the Silver Matrix to become Ultra Megatron! Super Megatron comic 1 The planet's protectors, Blue Big Convoy and his Blue Order finally entered the scene, but the blue leader's decision to use the α Matrix against Ultra Megatron allowed the Silver Matrix to absorb its Blue Star Power and evolve Megatron even further into Ultra Megatron Omega! The supreme leader of the Primus Vanguard, Primus himself, interceded while, elsewhere in the city, Primacron and the Three Wise Ones observed the distant battle. Primacron plotted to use the Silver Matrix and the collected colored Star Powers to restart the universe and gain dominance over the new universe. Super Megatron comic 2

Okay definitely not.

The Blue Order was destroyed from within by its Straxuses, who joined Megatron in departing the Blue Planet in search of more matrices. The other set of Seacons, now also Angolmois-empowered, also took their leave to capture the different matrices on the Primus Vanguard's other planets, and the unfolding events were observed by Primus, Turtler, Lune, and Star Convoy via viewscreens on the Blue Planet. Primacron confronted Primus and berated him for bringing his creation, Angolmois Energy, to their time. God Neptune comic 1 Primus responded that he was out to foil Primacron's plans and brought five Primitive warriors, God Neptune comic 2 the Dinobots, to the Blue Planet from the G1 World's 2050. Volcanicus comic 1

Primus attempted to sic the Dinobots on Primacron. Grimlock, recalling the Oracle and Primacron from their prior adventure, complied, only to be beset by Primacron's Assistant Corps. With Primus and his Primitives distracted, Primacron dove into a cockpit recessed into the planet's surface. At Primacron's command, the Blue Planet unfurled into a massive robot: Neo Primus, named so because Primacron sought to usurp the Oracle's title.

Neo Primus, programmed to amass Star Power at all costs, sped to the site of Megatron Omega and God Neptune's battle out in space. Meanwhile, on its surface, Star Convoy and Turtler scrambled to evacuate the planet's population as the Terrorcons trailed after the Dinobots through Primus's portal. Grimlock directed the Terrorcons to voyage to the center of the behemoth and devour the Angolmois Energy powering it. Leaping from the giant's surface to at last enter the battle royale for the Star Powers himself, Primus directed the Dinobots to thwart Primacron and his machine. Complying, the Dinobots formed Volcanicus and scored a direct hit to Neo Primus's face with his "Volcafire" attack. Primus, meanwhile, successfully gathered the seven Star Powers and activated the full power of the Silver Matrix, intending to bring an end to the Precursor World and Neo Primus with it. Finale Prelude

We politely request that you disregard the mile high letters spelling out "CYBERTRON."

However, Neo Primus was able to interrupt the process and paralyze Primus, forcing him to experience his future life in the G1 World in full. The giant robot afterwards blew away Primus's shell, revealing the diminutive Angolmois Energy being known as the Oracle. The giant was immediately swarmed by the spirits of Black Go Prime, Green Tender Convoy, and Yellow Splendid Convoy. The appearance of Gold Megatron and his New Primus Vanguard gave Neo Primus an opening to retrieve one of the Silver Matrices, albeit the drained one of the G1 World. Neo Primus fended off Volcanicus's renewed assault, but when Hun-Gurrr supercharged Volcanicus's Magma Blade with Neo Primus's own siphoned Angolmois stores, the colossus was felled by one mighty strike of the energized blade and reverted to the Blue Planet.

The Blue Planet's natives and the assembled future warriors rejoiced, safe at last from Primacron's enormous automaton. Their relief did not last long, however, as the New Primus Vanguard made their presence known as Red Megatron and Black Megatron laid waste to the survivors. Turtler combined with the stragglers brought along by the Terrorcons to become Scramble 7 and begrudgingly fought alongside God Neptune to protect the Beast People. Blue Megatron accomplished the New Vanguard's true objective on the planet, retrieving the Silver Matrix briefly obtained by Neo Primus and delivering it to Gold Megatron. The forces of good eventually vanquished the New Primus Vanguard, and the future warriors departed the Blue Planet for their own times. Some time later, the Blue Planet played host to the beginning of Magna Convoy's next-generation Primus Vanguard. Finale

Toys

[edit]

The Last Knight

[edit]
This isn't G2 Primus.
  • Cybertron (2017)
    • Accessories: Omega Lock, two missiles, Autobot Cybertron-type Cyber Key
The Last Knight Cybertron was repurposed as Neo Primus, and by extension the Blue Planet.
The Last Knight Cybertron is a redeco of the Supreme Class Primus mold. Contrary to stock photography, which depict the Matrix-styled Cyber Key originally sold with Cybertron Leader Class Optimus Prime, it instead comes with the standard Autobot Cybertron Cyber Key, just as the older releases of the mold did. It is advertised on the box as having a fourth mode, "Defense Mode", that like his Battle Station mode appears to be an intermediate between his robot and planet modes. This figure was exclusive to Toys"R"Us under the Mission to Cybertron banner. As the rest of the toys under this banner, he has decodeable Cyberglyphics on his body that spell out CYBERTRON and two cards that can form a bigger picture of Optimus and Megatron fighting on Cybertron, with Cyberglyphic writing on the back.

Notes

[edit]
  • While we can't say for certain, it's a pretty safe bet that the Blue Planet was the Primus Vanguard headquarters in the universe of Blue Star Power before the merging of the Precursor World multiverse in the final battle against the Specters as detailed in the Generations Selects finale.
  • "Neo Primus" as a separate thing repurposed from a Primus toy mirrors the "Unicron Neo" name for Dark Nova's planet body, itself a repurposing of the Beast Wars Neo Unicron prototype.
