Beginning as an original universe loosely based on the original Beast Wars franchise, the Beast Wars: Uprisingtimeline was later revealed to be an offshoot reality from the original cartoon, based on what might have happened had Megatron successfully pulled off his scheme to kill the comatose Optimus Prime during the events of "The Agenda (Part III)". The Human Confederacy intervenes, but in doing so reveals the extent of Cybertronian manipulation in their cold war. The Decepticons joined forces with the Hive Nations; Zarak and Fausto Borx used Nebulan and Cybertronian technology to develop binary bonding and the Headmaster process from captured POWs. The Autobots and their Nebulan allies the World Watchers steal the Headmaster plans and retaliate by developing the Targetmasters... then Fracas defects to the Decepticons and brings Targetmaster schematics with him. Realizing that the growing power of the Human Confederacy makes them the true threat, Decepticon leader Galvatron <ref>The circumstances behind Megatron's fate after "A Change to the Agenda" and, therefore, Galvatron's creation, have not been explored in this continuity.</ref> changes his priorities, and so he turns his attention to rebuilding his crumbling army. His search for more Headmasters and Targetmasters takes him to the backwater planet of Rebirth, which has degenerated into a stagnant oligarchy ruled over by the feckless Optimus triumvirate. Galvatron and the Decepticons join with the Malignus, a faction of underground terrorists seeking to overthrow the Optimus. With the help of Nucleon, he binary-bonds to Nucleon, Doomshot, and Clench to become the first "Triple-Threat Master." The Decepticons conquer the planet and rename it "Master." The Autobots, led by a reborn Optimus Prime Derailment soon arrive to liberate the planet from its new ruler. Optimus Prime teams up with the Optimus members Apex and Hi-Q as well as Surge to become "Triple-Threat Prime." His clashes with Galvatron are earthshaking, but ultimately ineffective. With the liberation movement failing, the Autobots resort to their last-ditch weapon — deploying Fortress Maximus, with Cerebros now bound to Spike's son Daniel. The Decepticons, having anticipated this contingency, deploy MegaZarak, who has been augmented with newcomers Dante and Caliburn. The planet is once again left devastated by their clash, but this time Fortress Maximus falls. With his troops augmented by legions of loyal Cyberdroid 'masters, Galvatron assembles a massive Decepticon fleet and spearheads the Great Push, a do-or-die battle against the Confederacy's superior blockade. The Confederacy easily routs his forces and the battle soon becomes a humiliating defeat for the Cybertronians. Caught between their war and looming genocide, the two factions put their differences aside to fight Thunderwing. The two are close friends, but after Maxima dies under unexplained circumstances the division between Maximals and Predacons become heavily politicized. A young Predacon programmer named Scorponok comes to the attention of his new supervisor at Iacon's Dynamic Energon Distillery: a charismatic 'bot named Gnashteeth. When the Builder Double Punch backstabs Gnashteeth to get a place on the Builder Assembly, Gnashteeth decides to get back at Gnashteeth. With Scorponok's help, the two begin a black market energon cube operation that soon attracts the unwanted attention of the Kospegos, and their brash leader Thunderhoof. Gnashteeth solves two problems at once when he murders Double Punch and frames Thunderhoof for the killing. In the aftermath, Gnashteeth sweeps through Cybertron's underworld, bribes Thunderhoof's old goons to turn on their boss, and renames himself... Megatron. Identity Politics

A Maximal named Trans-Mutate winds up working with the mobster Cryotek after her inquiries into Cybertron's contradictory records of the past go nowhere. When Cryotek discards her, she falls into the company of Rattrap and his new resistance cell, a team consisting of Botanica, Jawbreaker, and Geckobot. Waylaid and stranded on the remote world of Metascan Omega, Trans-Mutate reunites with Rampage. Blackarachnia returns from her extradimensional travels. Although she intends to travel to Earth, she is dragged back to her native Cybertron by the energon matrix in Lio Convoy's chest. Lio Convoy organizes three consecutive raids on Fortress Maximus in an attempt to liberate the political prisoners inside the towering Autobot prison. The first two teams are divided and conquered by Cerebros's psionic abilities; the third uses Buzzclaw as a patsy which allows the Resistance to take advantage of the mental link between Cerebros and Buzzclaw and end the Builder's life. Cheetor, Preditron, and Grimlock all join the Resistance, and the Resistance steals Kord for his vital data. Ser-Ket, disgusted, quits the Resistance. Head Games
Grimlock, having joined the Resistance, recruits the Antares Eight to steal a sample of the deadly G-Virus from the Forever Vaults. On a deep space patrol, the skeleton crew of the Dinosaur receive Trans-Mutate's distress call shortly after learning of the Uprising at home. Though threatened by the machinations of the Destructons, the Builder loyalist Synapse, and the threat of Trypitcon, the crew of the ship manages to rescue Protoform X and destroy Lord Imperious Delirious's physical body. Delirious is not defeated, however - having transferred his consciousness into the Cybertronian shuttle, an ultra-dense data packet containing his consciousness stows away aboard Magmatron's voyage home. The Predacon sleeper agent Wolfang, deep undercover in the MCSF, investigates the murder of Twirl. The trail takes him across Iacon, and eventually Wolfang foils Blackarachnia's plot to recruit several Targetmasters into the Resistance. Trigger Warnings
Inspired by Cybertron's growing mechanimal population, Megatron begins investigating the feasibility of adopting techno-organic beast modes, capable of processing energon independently from Energon cubes. Although his first few experiments fail, he eventually adopts the disgraced Builder Leatherhide. Lord Imperious Delirious makes contact with the Monster GoBots by surreptitiously feeding them data about the Rosetta Stone. Hoping that humans will eradicate the Transformers for them, Delirious manipulates the GoBots into luring the crew of the Spooky Action at a Distance to Cybertron. The GoBots are defeated by a mismatched crew of Ex-Bots, guided by the Oracle, though not before founder and de facto leader Overshoot gives his life for the cause.Cultural Appropriation

Galva Convoy reaches a breakthrough, developing the first Vehicons, self-replicating warriors designed to transform Maximals and Predacons into more Vehicons. To spread the infection behind enemy lines, Micromaster POWs are deliberately taken alive. At the Resistance Games in Protihex, the dormant infection activates, transforming the survivors of the Games into Vehicons. Other Vehicon insertions succeed in overrunning the cities of Damaxus and Carpessa, kicking off the Vehicon Apocalypse. Safe Spaces
