Insignia/Gallery
There are so many variations of insignia across the breadth of the Transformers brand that it might be a fool's errand to try and list them all — but we are those fools!
While many of these insignia, such as that of the Wreckers, are used across multiple continuities or families, others, such as the Dinobot insignia, are confined to only one.
Factions
Autobots
In the real world, the Autobot insignia was derived from the head of Prowl's toy.
Its in-universe origin varies: in Generation 1 cartoon continuity it was applied by the Quintessons to their "consumer good" creations, while in Marvel Comics continuity it is seemingly based on the Last Autobot. In 2005 IDW continuity it was "created" by Shockwave, who claimed it to be the face of Primus, as part of an ontological paradox.

Decepticons
In the real world, the Decepticon insignia was based on Soundwave's toy head. In the 1980s the crest of the symbol usually had a "squared-off" bottom, while modern portrayals generally have the crest pointed at the base.
Its origin in-universe is generally less-explored than that of the Autobots. In the Generation 1 cartoon continuity it was a symbol applied to the Quintessons' "military hardware", while in the live-action film series and Aligned continuity family it is seemingly based on the face of the Fallen.
