I've been working on updating instances of inter-wiki linking to remove bare URLs and use the current preferred templates, and I realized there's a few spots on Ruined FOREVER that need to be brought up to date. I was able to add in more information to the Transformers video games, more specifically, the NDS games for the 2007 & ROTF movies, the ROTF PSP game, and the Wii/PS2 version of the ROTF game. I even added in character pages for the Krome-exclusive NPCs, and the playable ROTF DS Transformers. Something that nobody, not even you, were never able to do, because I have the time & energy to do so, all because I did some heavy researching, and thorough analysis. It wasn't fair. If the toy wasn't real, I wouldn't have posted anything about it, but it was clearly real and a planned product. Later on, the same user who called me out later took the credit for himself, when I deserve the credit. I do not understand how that on "the many deaths of Optimus Prime" was wrong when 1. There's a couple of near death mentions on the page 2. The film really built it up like he was going to die and 3. It was the truth. Wikia to Fandom changeover

Based on my cursory research, it seems the migration from Wikia to Fandom is complete, as every Wikia link I've tested so far has redirected to the .fandom URL. When you get the chance, could you update the interwiki linking system to point directly to the Fandom URL instead? Also, do we have a full list of wikia sites with their own domains that we support interwiki linking to? I know Memory-Alpha is one of them, but that redirects to a .fandom URL now as well instead of memory-alpha.org, so it wouldn't hurt to make sure those are up to date too. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 14:23, 24 January 2019 (EST)

It looks like there are some which haven't yet been migrated - e.g. community.wikia.com is still non-migrated. They will probably make an announcement on the staff blog when the migration is finished so once they do that, it should be safer. Unable to move page

I was trying to move Powa Pro-kun back to Power Pro-kun, but wasn't able to because Power Pro still has leftover edit history from before it was moved to Powa Pro, as it wasn't moved properly due to the move taking place in the middle of the bookworm crash. Caching errors

So looking through those pages I marked for speedy deletion a few days ago due to being empty files improperly migrated when the site moved from Wikia, they're still showing up in the list of files (and as large ones at that) despite you having deleted them. I'm going to try uploading a simple image to see if deleting those will get rid of them for good; if you get the chance, I'd appreciate if you'd try deleting them one more time to see if it fixes the issue. Hi! In the article where the image is being displayed, you'll see something like [[File:image.jpg|300px|thumb]]. That's the code that displays the image, so adding a caption is a matter of adding it to this code like [[File:image.jpg|300px|thumb|Caption goes here]], though I should warn you in advance that adding captions on this wiki is regarded as a reward for making a significant contribution, so you should concentrate on editing in other areas before you start adding them.

Briefly: it's a case of signing up with a web host and paying for some web space. How you go from there will depend on the web host you've chosen - some have a control panel interface that will let you install MediaWiki by selecting an option, or otherwise you'd need to download MediaWiki and install it yourself. The web host may have help documents that tell you how to install MediaWiki (e.g. here are dreamhost's instructions).

Then how should we call her? Also do you know her "In universe real name" and the actress who played her in the movie? A maid is generally someone who does cleaning, whereas the elderly lady in question appears to be an assistant of some sort. I discovered that her Brazilian voice actor is Marly Ribeiro, but of course that piece of information is not enough, since the article about Dylan's dogs was created only because they both have "in-universe" names (or in this case nicknames) and the identity of the dog actors who played them confirmed. I was originally going to call her "Dylan Gould's aide", due to the fact that she helps him the same way Charlotte Mearing's aide does, but i called her maid because the word "aide" was used for the Trump Tower's female workers in his dogs' article. So i'll call her Dylan Gould's assistant okay? As for how i'm going to save the image i uploaded from being deleted is by creating an article about her, but first, i need to find more information about her. it's much easier than you could expect Abates, recently my husband Renato and i were re-watching DOTM to have that amazing nostalgia feeling of the day when we went to the theaters and watched the then-apparent final chapter of the Live-action film series together, suddendly we both noticed that her voice in our language was the same of a character from a kid cartoon that our son Gabriel was watching at the time. We then correctly deduced that it was the same voice actor, so after watching the movie and put Gabriel to sleep, Renato then searched for who voiced her in the movie, but nothing was found, until i decided to search for the voice actor of the kid cartoon character instead, and then i found the answer, that's how we both killed the riddle of who's her Brazilian voice actor which is Marly Ribeiro. As for her actress, Fanofcoolstuff27 told me he discovered who played her in the film, so go and check his talk page to find out who is her actress and how he found out. Sorry for not telling this before, but in December my family is passing through so many difficulties and i just didn't had enough time to be active here, i managed to a few contributions this month but still very hard to keep the pace. Human Collaborators

I am going to create a page about all the humans who work for the Decepticons in Dark of the Moon. Should "Human Collaborators" be considered an organization or a group? If you know what should i consider about them, then i'll make it happen. Spoiler: all the members who were not in Chicago were killed by the Decepticons, all the members who were in Chicago, except for their leader were killed by Bumblebee when he destroyed the apartment in Trump Tower, and finally, Dylan is killed by Sam. everything i'll insert on the page is based on what i learned when i watched the film, so this claim of mine about all them being dead at the end of the film is true so don't change-it please. I am not sure at all that that was intended as a proper noun. Megatron was just saying that they should kill the humans who collaborated with them. Exactly what i'm talking about, Megatron ordered them to kill all the humans who collaborated with them to make sure their plan wouldn't be exposed, some of them were disposed off before the party where he revealed their relationship with the Decepticons to Sam, and after the party was over, the remaining collaborators where (including his friends and his assistant) where all killed, they didn't killed Dylan because he gained permission to stay alive by selling his race as slaves to them and they didn't killed his bodyguards because every rich person as Dylan for exemple must always have someone to defend them from danger.

During the onslaught in his apartment, there is one brief moment that shows Bumblebee's firing from Carly's point of view (POV) and in that moment it's possible to see that there were no bodyguards there. And if you saw the moment when an Orbital Assault Carrier ambushed Sam and Epps' team, the bullets from the Carriers causes a human to be reduced to dust, which is exactly what happened to them in that scene, i know all his bodyguards did also duck and covered themselves but the fire literally obliterated his apartment completely. Also his bodyguards are so loyal to him that they follow him anywhere he goes if he is outside of any of his properties, (i know the garden where he revealed he work for the Decepticons to Sam belongs to his estate but he was outside of his mansion, so that also counts), but in the moment where he approached 35 East Wacker to inform that the Autobots are still alive none of his bodyguards came with him, which proves once again that they were murdered by Bumblebee when he decided they must pay for all the evil they were causing with their lives.

If you don't believe me there is one piece of information that proves it other than visual facts and concrete dialogs, that being the movie's script. And no its not an earlier version of the script that was later revised, its the script in its final version (the version that is 100% accurate to how it happened in the film itself), the script in its final version is even in many script websites you can go and see. Unfortunately those websites don't have the text of what happens in the scene, only the characters' dialogs, and DOTM is not the only movie in which the final version of the script includes only the characters' dialogs in script websites, there're many other movies which suffers the same fate as DOTM in those websites. How do i know that you may ask, because sometime after i completed my 11th birthday, i was searching for the movie's script to learn more about the human villains from Dark of the Moon on the internet since i wanted to know what happened to all of them, when suddenly i found a website which has the script on its final version, i was too young to understand English at the time, but with Renato's help i managed to translate everything, and after analyzing every single text written on it, it was left clear for us that is the script on its final version and so what happened to all the human collaborators was finally revealed to us. After discovering that, i took pictures from my computer screen using a camera that i received for my birthday, of the writings that mentioned what happened to all of them, which is about their deaths, exactly as i said above, after i took the pictures we then printed the photos and guarded them inside a box with things of my childhood, so that i could recall them once i was more older. Nine years later both Renato and i forgot that they all died and the photos we took before, but i had a dê-ja-vu feeling when i interpreted in my mind that they all died. So we searched for it on the movie's script again, only to find out it didn't had the text from the scenes and only has the dialogs. Now in 2021 because of every goddamn thing that happened last year, we're gonna have to move to a new home, and one day while making preparations to move out, Gabriel have found that box with things from our childhood, and after opening it we found the pictures and remembered them, it was thanks to our son that we found official evidences of their deaths to prove here and create the page.

As for the page, i want to create-it because the story of everything they did goes beyond what was showed to us in the film, one of them appeared in the Rising Storm comic miniseries & their origin and why Soundwave decided the Decepticons should have human allies is explained in the Convergence prose-story. But i will include only the members who were relevant to the comic, prose-story and movie's plot. Those members being Dylan Gould, his father, his assistant, his bodyguards, Alexi Voskhod, his uncle, Jerry Wang and the Engineer, and no i won't create an page about Dylan's bodyguards because that would be ridiculously dumb.

I talked about this to Fanofcoolstuff27 (talk) but he said that i was just speculating things, after that i said that i would keep it to myself and i wouldn't do any change nor create the page because of what he told me, now i regret doing that since i'm afraid he won't believe me about what i'm telling you right now.

Sorry if my last reply was too extensive but its because there was so many things that i found out about the collaborators and that happened in the meantime and i wanted to explain everything to you. I know the fact that my son (who is 2 years old) managed to find the box where my husband and i guarded the pictures we took from the website where we found the movie's script in its final version when we were kids at that time seems like an impossible case scenario, but what happened was that one day after we were done making our preparations to move out for that day to continue in the following day, we forgot that we left the ladder to attic opened, Gabriel was playing inside the house and sometime while none of us where paying attention he went upstairs and entered the attic. When we found him there he was opening all the boxes he found, after preventing him from opening more i saw that one of the boxes he opened contained things from our childhood that we forgot, including the pictures i took when i was 11 years old, that how he found it.

That's all what happened that brought me here and allow me to have an evidence that all the collaborators are as good as dead. You may not follow the gist of my last argument but its true, since if wasn't i wouldn't come up with the idea to create a page about them. In fact i never wanted to write any speculation of mine on this wiki since i always go for concrete facts about the brand.

Speaking of which you shouldn't have said that "their fates are irrelevant to whether they can be considered a coherent organization" because after what Fanofcoolstuff27 told me, i realized that human collaborators is not a group nor an organization, and so when i create the page it'll read like "the human collaborators are Decepticon-allied humans from the Dark of the Moon portion of the Live-action continuity family" and of course reveal what happened to them and include the fact that its revealed in the script on the notes section of the page, so that fans will know what happened to all of them at the end of the film and so prevent it from being changed to look ambiguous, since that's what everyone thinks when about them when (as i'm saying a lot of times above) the script reveals what happened to all of them, besides i think that creating a page about the collaborators is a good way to celebrate Transformers: Dark of the Moon 10th year anniversary. Human collaborators are not unique to Dark of the Moon. E.G. Shawn Berger can be regarded a human collaborator because he worked with the Decepticons. Then you have the question over whether, say, Marissa Faireborn would be covereed since she was part of the EDC in the IDW comics when they were working with the Decepticons.

Just letting you know, you've more than likely found an unofficial transcript of the dialogue which can be found for just about any film on the web. People with a lot of spare time write down every line of dialogue from films. This also sometimes leads to made up dialogue if something has been misinterpreted by the person recording the dialogue in written format. If the writer has used extracted subtitle files from films, that can also lead to misinterpreted dialogue (e.g. Bonecrusher's growls and alien gibberish being misinterpreted as spoken English words in the official subtitles for the first film or Animated's subtitles mistaking Shockwave's name for "Chug-Way").

As for the body guards dying in the apartment, it is still just built on speculation. Yes, the Decepticon ship weapons turn humans to dust, but there is no dust or bones shown in the apartment. Again, we can't record anything on the wiki if it hasn't been confirmed or shown visibly. Their fates are simply left ambiguous. Fanofcoolstuff27 (talk) 17:51, 17 January 2021 (EST)

Fanofcollstuff27, i know that the final version of the script that i found is an transcript made by someone, after all its obvious that no movie company would do something like that, but the version i'm talking specifically about is accurate to how it happened in the film.

As for the collaborators in DOTM most of what i'm saying is true, after all if Megatron ordered them to execute all of them to avoid any danger of his plans being exposed, then they really did killed them all, except for Dylan since he sold humanity as slaves for them so that their plan could finally be set into motion. But the bodyguards is the only part that's causing a lotta headache here, i know there was no dust or bones shown in the apartment during the slaughter after rescuing Carly, but their deaths could have happened while the drone sent by the government was descending to see what was going on, and so it wasn't shown to us. Also as i said on your talk page and this one, his body guards are so loyal to him they follow him anywhere he goes, so that means they should have followed Dylan when he approached 35 East Wacker to warn them about the situation, but as we saw in the film none of his body guards came with him. And last but not least the reason why there weren't dust or bones is because the slaughter was caused by the Orbital Assault Carrier's guns, not by the Disintegrator ray. Since the Disintegrator ray is the Carrier's weapons that causes the Humans to be reduced to dust with only remaining of their corpses being their skeletons, while the guns kills the human in a way that leaves absolutely nothing of their corpses, no body, no blood, no organs, no bones, no clothes, no dust, nothing, like if the victim didn't even existed. So why did i said that the guns causes to be reduced to dust with bones instead of being reduced to absolutely nothing? Because i decided that i would say only what fans want to hear, since one day while i was talking about what each of the Orbital Assault Carrier's guns do to the human body and when i said that the guns causes to be reduced to nothing and the disintegrator rays causes to be reduced to dust and bones, all the members of our transformers' fan club on my school shouted at me "IF YOU CLAIM THAT THE ORBITAL ASSAULT CARRIERS' GUNS REDUCE US TO NOTHING AND THE ORBITAL ASSAULT CARRIERS' DISINTEGRATOR RAYS REDUCE US TO DUST WITH BONES, YOU'RE NOT A TRUE TRANSFORMERS' FAN!". So that's why i did that. I'm sorry.

Backing up the wiki with rsync

I've been wondering about an older outstanding item from the tech wiki article:

Long term, we should find someone to host an rsync backup of the entire /var/lib/mediawiki directory, along with an offsite replica of the MySQL database. While it would take a while to reupload the data, this would effectively preserve the wiki in the event of a complete catastrophic datacenter failure.

Synching MySQL and InnoDB can be tricky (especially with InnoDB), but even just backing up /var/lib/mediawiki to a separate Linode and using `mysqldump` every so often would be a good start? Comic Panels

Greetings, apologize for writing here but trying to get some assistance with a wiki I am working on and was wondering where you got the code of the comic panel info for the wiki? How did you set this up? ironhide1975 (talk)

Hi, User:Interrobang is the one who originally created Template:Comicstory, but I am not sure where he originally got it from or if he wrote it himself, and he hasn't edited here in many years. If you want to use the same code on your wiki, you will need to also copy the .infobox styling from MediaWiki:Common.css. --abates (talk) 16:42, 5 February 2021 (EST)

RBA screencaps

Thanks again for your hard work as usual filling out the RBA articles! Just a hot tip, but if you use the Discovery Family app, you can watch the show with no network bug in the corner, with no HDCP preventing screencaps either. They stay available to stream until 30 days after their US airdate, so while it's not super helpful for replacing images from old episodes, it's a great way to get clean images as new episodes air. Can you delete these pages please? They were created due to a mistake I made.

New insignia icon

Hey, I noticed the TF Prime toyline page is currently using a Decepticon insignia instead of the Star Seeker one for Thundertron's toy and I also discovered that we didn't have a Star Seeker bulletpoint either., so I decided to give it a go making the bulletpoint myself, but I think I may have missed something somewhere in the coding as the image won't display on the Template:Bp-a1/doc page.

Would you possibly be able to give me a hand?
