- Blurr is an Autobot-allied Velocitronian from the Aligned continuity family.
On the planet Velocitron, Blurr was among the fastest of the fast; an up-and-coming racer who could keep up with and even outpace the best of them. He attained the role of celebrity among his peers, and to serve in his pit crew was once considered to be a great honor. Since arriving on Earth, however, Blurr's discovered that he's not quite as perfect—or as well-liked—as he thought he once was: while he may be willing to help, he lacks patience when the job gets complicated, and opts to get the job done fast instead of getting it done right, even if he unwittingly endangers others in the process. He's not above trying to run to save his own chassis, or lying to avoid repercussions for his actions.
He's not a bad bot at Spark though. He mainly just wants to do his own thing: no obligations, no responsibilities, and no speed limits. Maybe with the right guidance...[1]

Aligned novels
Blurr was the first Velocitronian that the Autobots met when they made planetfall. True to his name, the Autobots only just managed to get a few minor, almost irrelevant details out of him before he sped away again. Blurr was present when Optimus Prime revealed that the Autobots had not arrived to save Velocitron—they were, in fact, the ones in need of rescuing. On the way to the Velocitronian capital of Delta, Blurr filled in the visiting Autobots about Velocitron's recent history, including the fact that the two leaders Override and Ransack did not see eye-to-eye.
Blurr later took part in the Speedia, Velocitron's greatest and most prestigious racing circuit. Blurr managed to win the race, in one of the closest finishes of Velocitron's history, and received the Speedia trophy as a reward for his efforts. Just after the race, Blurr approached the Autobots, hoping to learn more about Silverbolt's flight capabilities.
Later, after Optimus Prime and Clocker returned from Velocitron's south pole, Blurr once again joined the Autobots for a meeting. Sensing a connection between a piece of metal Optimus had discovered and the Speedia trophy, Blurr tore the trophy apart, revealing a similar artifact that had been embedded in the trophy- although Blurr was less willing to take the fall for the desecration of this selfsame artifact. After Makeshift sabotaged the Ark, Optimus requested that Blurr fetch Override to assess the situation.
After Velocitron's leaders began a period of open conflict with one another, Blurr allied himself with Override's cadre of loyalists. When a mysterious spacefarer visited the planet searching for Cybertronians, the Decepticon-allied Ransack accused Override of collaborating with Cybertronians. The accusation angered Blurr, who retorted by blasting Ransack off his feet. This action only reignited tensions between the factions and heralded the beginning of all-out civil war.
Blurr later sent a distress message to the Ark as it landed on Junkion, updating them about the dire events that had played out on Velocitron after the Autobots had departed. Exiles

Rescue Bots cartoon

Blurr was a two-times winner of the Cybertronian 500. The ship Blurr was piloting crashed on Earth as the result of a meteor storm. Though his shipmate Salvage wanted to save the local earthlings from the meteors, Blurr opted instead to try to save his own skin by attempting to blast off in the ship. Salvage caught him and the pair fought, but were forced to enter their stasis pods when the meteors hit the cave they were in. Their ship lay buried for some ten thousand years, until it was found by the Rescue Bots. On being revived, Blurr was happy to take credit for saving the cavemen as Salvage lost his memory of the incident, however after Blurr bungled the rescue he took part in and the ship's memory core was repaired, the truth came out. Blurr apologized for lying and Optimus Prime was happy to give him another chance. The New Recruits
Blurr was less than enthusiastic as their rescue training continued and ended up botching a mission to rescue a window washer. Pining for the freedom of Velocitron, Blurr sped through Griffin Rock and ended up crashing into the statue of Horace Burns, almost revealing the Rescue Bots' secret, earning Heatwave's ire. On learning of the existence of the Sigma and overhearing talk of getting rid of him, Blurr stole the spaceship. Rescue Bots Academy Blurr opted to head for Hydrus Four for some racing, though shipboard computer ERVIS attempted to guilt him into returning to Earth. After a solar flare knocked out the ship's power, Blurr brought it back online, only to discover there was a satellite about to crash into Griffin Rock. With some help from the ground, he was able to destroy the satellite and returned to Earth, where Optimus made him a full Rescue Bot and assigned him and Salvage elsewhere. A New Hero
Blurr and Salvage joined some other recruits to contact the Rescue Bots for some tips, only to find the Bots on Griffin Rock were only able to sing. I Have Heard the Robots Singing Blurr and Salvage were on their way to Griffin Rock with High Tide when they had to stop and rescue Woodrow Burns. They were in sight of the island when it suddenly disappeared, leaving a number of surprised humans to rescue. Now and Then They were soon contacted by Chief Burns, and had to clear out the crater where Griffin Rock used to be, so the island could be relocated there after flying back from the Arctic where it had been teleported. Three years on, following the construction of a GroundBridge between the mainland and Griffin Rock, Blurr tested the bridge by traveling through it successfully, though the first time he sped through so fast he took out a pile of gift baskets. Bridge Building
With the Rescue Bot Training Center finally complete, Blurr was ready to party. After taking part in a snowball fight and almost causing Cody an injury, he challenged Quickshadow to twenty laps around a slot car track he'd acquired, using the base's Minimizer to shrink the pair to toy size. Blurr lost. Unfortunately then the base's computer malfunctioned and refused to unshrink them. The More Things Change... With the base's holographic disguise also failing, he and Quickshadow made their way to the front door, evading the cleaning equipment with some help from Servo. They succeeded in exiting through a small hatch and restarted the hologram projectors once the cloaking device had been replaced. The More Things Stay the Same
Feeling that he wasn't contributing enough, Blurr began party crashing car races. Dani found out, and after he persuaded her to help him, the pair entered a second race, only for the sonic boom from Blurr's energon boost to damage the stands and the pair being exposed to the rest of the team. Blurr was restricted to the fire house, however when the cars in the third race lost control thanks to errant tech, he helped the rest of the team stop them. Hot Rod Bot While the Rescue Team practiced in the Training Center, Blurr and Salvage covered for them in Griffin Rock by employing an unorthodox technique to get Mister Pettypaws down from a flag pole. They were later joined by the Burnses and Blurr had trouble directing traffic. Uninvited Guest
After fouling up during another training exercise, Blurr found himself facing the Mini-Con Bounce and helped by Bee Team member Sideswipe. Though he was tempted by Sideswipe's offer of a place on the Bee Team, during the chase Blurr proved himself a Rescue Bot by rescuing a number of humans without thinking, and opted to keep up his training instead. As part of the Scrubber Initiative, Blurr was assigned along with Boulder as Chase's team protecting Professor Baranova's west coast laboratory. The team proved unable to prevent the Morocco virus from making off with the technology Baranova was developing. Upgrades When Morocco had control of the Training Center, Blurr ferried Professor Baranova at high speed across the US so they could assault the base and devirus the mainframe. Following the restoration of Cybertron from the Great War, Blurr was one of the many Autobots blacklisted by the new High Council for being a supporter of Optimus Prime. Enemy of My Enemy
During a practice run, Blurr intercepted a plane's distress call that led him to the Bee Team. After rescuing the pilot and retrieving Ragebyte's stasis pod from one of Windblade's caches, a starstruck Blurr accompanied the team home, much to Sideswipe's chagrin. Fearing Blurr would replace him, Sideswipe attempted to prove his worth alone; however, the pair end up working together to take down Ragebyte. Contrary to Sideswipe's fears, Blurr became his intern rather than his replacement. Blurred
Blurr continued to work with the team, taking part in the capture of Zorillor. He and the rest of the team found themselves drawn to possess the Sphere of Doradus, thanks to the energies it gave off, until Springload made off with it, and it was smashed during their capture of the Con. Sphere of Influence With his own team wanting him back, Blurr did some last minute training with Sideswipe, but was again called on to help capture Drag Strip and Wildbreak in West Rock. Precursor World
A Warrior of the Seven Lights resembling Blurr was a member of the Blue Order of the Primus Vanguard. When the traitorous Straxus twins unleashed a rage virus to destroy the corps from within, he was slain in the ensuing brawl. - Blurr's Rescue Bots toy transforms from robot into a purple and white racing car, which transforms from robot to car and back with a simple pull of his spoiler. His package art features quite a few paint design and even mold design differences from the final toy.
- Blurr first showed up in Asian markets as a surprise in 2015 with no prior announcements, promptly became very hard to find in the US, and went for ridiculous amounts on the secondary market. Thankfully, Blurr was re-released in the 2016 Rescan assortments.
- This figure was redecoed for the Optimus Prime Racing Trailer set (below), and extensively retooled into Rescan MorBot.

- A twelve-inch-tall, non-transforming action figure of Blurr with limited articulation and an opening chest-cockpit to place smaller figures inside.

- Part of the first wave of three-pack Flip Racers, Blurr transforms automatically from car to robot when the vehicle mode is lifted up and placed on its end. He comes in a pack with Chase the Police-Bot and Sideswipe as part of the "Griffin Rock Racing Team".

- Blurr Reverse Raceway is a new playset for Flip Racers. It includes a slight repaint (well, actually, a less painted version) of the original purple Flip Racer Blurr.

- A new version of Blurr turning into a super-car was released in a 3-pack alongside Optimus Prime and Chase the Police-Bot.

- Released in 11 Wave of the Robots in Disguise (2015) Legion Class figures, Blurr is a new, Legends-sized mold that changes from robot to race car in a few easy steps. He features 3mm-compatible hands and ports featured on the back of the vehicle mode. He features a scannable badge on the left side of his vehicle mode, accessible while in-package.
- Blurr (One-Step Changer, 2017)
- Part of the tenth wave of Robots in Disguise One-Step Changers, Blurr once again goes back to converting from robot to vehicle (or vice-versa) with a single step that automatically swings everything into position. Unlike most prior One-Step Changers, Blurr has a little extra articulation (aka "any articulation") with simple swivel shoulders. This Blurr can ride on Stomp & Chomp Grimlock, although it does not activate any of the larger figure's gimmicks.

- Part of the tenth wave of Robots in Disguise Warrior-Class toys (under the "Combiner Force" banner), Blurr transforms from a robot into a blue and white racing car modeled after a Ferrari FXX Evoluzione. He's the first Rescue Bots original character to cross over into the "main" cartoon's toyline! He includes a translucent blaster rifle which he can either hold in his fist or mount on his vehicle mode side or canopy via 5 mm posts. Official photography depicts Blurr as being blue, instead of the teal it actually is. Blurr's visor is a single clear piece, lacking any eye details.
Notes
- In one of the rare noticeable instances of physical change within the "Aligned" continuity family, Blurr's appearance in Robots in Disguise is a modified version of his original Rescue Bots design with a blue-and-white color scheme and other elements based on his Generation 1 counterpart.
