The "second" G1 line, mostly because they were the first to release new figures. I'm ONLY going to show significant retools, redecos, and new guys here, with a link to the individual series under each relevant year to check out the other guys.

1985

[edit]
Main article: Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers (toyline)

The toyline consists of most figures from the Hasbro '84 and '85 lines. Notable omissions are molds not owned by Takara, as well as odd balls like Ironhide and Gears. Odd.

1986

[edit]
Main article: Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers 2010 (toyline)

Again, this copies practically mold-for-mold the '86 line in the US. Sky Lynx wasn't awesome enough to make it though.

1987

Main article: Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers: The Headmasters (toyline)

Here we go. New figures, new decos, Japan really got into TF and decided to milk it for all it's worth.

1988

Main article: Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers: Super-God Masterforce (toyline)

Just... forget it. Takara smoked something nice to make this series, and made a bunch of new figures to boot.

Regular retail

Masterforce Warriors

NOTE: Aquastar and Zetca are full-sized Cybertronians. Zetca is unaffiliated.

Sparkdash

See the Sparkabots / Firecons above.

Seacons

Check out the US Seacons.

Destrons
Pretenders

See above for the fates of Blood, Dauros, and Diver.

NOTE: None of these guys are IDW Pretenders. Phoenix and Gilmer have not made any appearances.

Six Changer Armored Warrior
Headmaster Juniors

Bullhorn, Cancer, and Cab have not appeared in IDW, either.

Headmasters
Godmasters

See above for their basically US equivalents. None of these have been called by name in IDW.

Godmaster Leaders

Mail-away exclusives

See G1 for Lander and Repugnus.

NOTE: The Sparkdash, Seacons, and Godmasters BASICALLY look like what was released in the US, with some slight deco changes. So far, none of them have appeared in IDW, either by color OR by name.

Zone OVA pack-in Micro Transformers

Micro Transformer Transports Micro Transformer Stations
Micro Transformer Bases Rocket Base
NOTE: The Japanese Micromasters/Microtransformers are complicated, but basically, either they were released with the same decos and names as in the US, the same decos but different names, or different decos and/or names. The new decos have not been seen in IDW, either as Gorlamians or Cybertronians, and no one has been called out by name.
Powered Masters Metrosquad Leader

1991

[edit]
Main article: Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers: Return of Convoy (toyline)
Cybertrons Micro Transformer 6 Team

NOTE: A similar situation happened with the Micromasters here. I've gone ahead and not listed them; none appeared in IDW anyways.
