Cliffjumper has a lot of toys. Although none of them are traitors, a large number of them are red Bumblebees.

The Transformers

For 28 years, this was his only toy that wasn't a Bumblebee redeco or retool.
  • Cliffjumper (Mini Vehicle, 1984 / 1985)
Part of the original 1984 range of Transformers Autobot Mini-Vehicles, Cliffjumper began life as the super deformed "Penny Racer"-style Micro Change "MC-04 #01 Porsche [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Porsche 924|{{#if:924 Carrera GT|924 Carrera GT|Porsche 924}}]]" - although, in reality; most of his design traits are based on the later Porsche 924 Carrera GTR racecar model, with only his hood scoop being closer to the Turbo. Though broadly similar in construction to Bumblebee and commonly called a redeco/retool of him by fans, Cliffjumper is actually an entirely different mold that just uses the same transformation scheme. This confusion was not helped by the fact that both Cliffjumper and Bumblebee were released in both red and yellow during the first two years of the Generation 1 toyline; a move designed to "make the line look bigger" according to former Hasbro R&D Vice President George Dunsay.<ref name="dunsay">Interview with George Dunsay at TFArchive.com</ref>
Technically also Cliffjumper. We dare official fiction to use this body as such.
A yellow version of the Micro Change "MC-04 Mini CAR Robo 02 Familia 1500XG" mold was also available packaged on Cliffjumper cards through 1984, albeit in way smaller numbers than either of the normal color variants. As an entirely different mold, the fandom treated this toy not as a variant of Cliffjumper, but rather as a separate character they christened "Bumper", which would get officially recognized as a new character decades later. The mold did not continue forward into 1985 as the normal Cliffjumpers did.
In 1984, Cliffjumper and the other Mini Vehicles came packaged in vehicle mode; in 1985, they were switched to come in robot mode, a change preceded by the addition of a picture of their vehicle modes to the front of their cards. The same year, the Autobot insignia on Cliffjumper's roof/chest was replaced with a heat-activated rubsign. Later in 1985, Cliffjumper and the Mini-Vehicles came packaged with Mini-spies.
When he was released in Japan in 1985, "Cliff" came in a small box rather than a card. He was available in both red and yellow, both versions having the rubsign rather than the foil faction symbol.
Cliffjumper was also sold in several countries south of the US in a wide variety of colors, which are covered in individual entries below (simply to keep this entry from getting too cluttered).

  • Cliffjumper (Listen 'n Fun, 1985)
Cliffjumper was packaged with an audio cassette featuring the story "Sun Raid" as part of Hasbro's multi-brand Listen 'n Fun subline. Most of the toys packaged with this cassette were the yellow variant mentioned above, but exceptions do exist (see photo at right).
As the other known Listen 'n Fun releases—including Tripwire for G.I. Joe and "Ember" for My Little Pony—had intentional deco changes from their original releases, it is possible that Cliffjumper becoming yellow was intentional as well.


  • Cliffjumper (Mini Vehicle, 1985)
When he was released in Mexico by IGA, Cliffjumper came in five decoes: both the original red and yellow, as well as blue, white, and flat silver. The white and silver variations are especially notable (and significantly rarer), as they have red-painted faces.
Years later, large numbers of Mexican Transformers somehow made it to various European markets.
It is possible that the two red-faced Cliffjumpers are actually IGA's version of Hubcap. In 1986, IGA released first-year Mini Vehicle molds in colors resembling their '86 Hasbro/Takara retools on cards for those characters, and early Hasbro production photos of Hubcap show him in white with a red face. Unfortunately, still-carded samples of these two variants have yet to surface and confirm this theory.

Hey, they finally got my vehicle mode suffix right!
  • Carrera (Robocar, 1985)
Cliffjumper was released in Brazil by Estrela in 1985 as the Robocar "Carrera" (pronounced "ka-HEY-ra") - this time featuring a more accurate vehicle mode name! - and was initially available in two color schemes: his original red and black (albeit using a more vibrant shade of plastic), and metallic gold and black.
Rather than having Autobot symbols, both are decorated with the thin tech-detail sticker from the original Takara Micro Change versions of the toy, and the kneecap sticker from Salt-Man Z on the back of the head-plate (replacing the Micro Change Japanese-text sticker). The raised "DUNLOP" branding on the tires was also removed, a change also present on the Estrela versions of the similarly-engineered Volks / Bumblebee and Sedan molds.
Later, Estrela released blue and white versions of Carrera sporting the new "Optimus" faction insignia; given this new factional alignment, for the purposes of this wiki, the Optimus-aligned Carrera is considered to be a separate character from Cliffjumper.


  • Carrera (Robocar, 1985)
The aforementioned white version of Carrera was released in Argentina by Antex in 1985, along with a new green redeco, both sporting the Estrela stickers and "DUNLOP"-less tires. Later releases of the green version have been found with a different chest sticker: a large yellow paper decal that also appears on some Antex releases of "Camaro" (aka Windcharger).
The card photography shows both the red and golden versions of the toy, but it is believed this was merely a holdover from the Estrela-designed packaging, and that neither coloration was ever sold in Argentina.
These toys are more readily available on the secondary market than their Estrela predecessors. They also have lower quality control.


  • Cliffjumper (Mini Vehicle, 1985)
As far as foreign Mini Vehicle variants go, the Venezuelan release of Cliffjumper by Rubiplas is pretty tame. He came in both the Hasbro red and yellow versions, and retains the Hasbro stickers. However, his head lacks both the silver paint on his face, and the chrome silver on the "plate" part of the head, leaving it as black plastic.

  • Cliffjumper (Mini Vehicle, 1987)
Manufactured by Peruvian company Lynsa and sold in Peru and Chile, this version of Cliffjumper is similar to the Rubiplas release, lacking any paint or chrome, but this version also has plastic tires instead of rubber. So far, two different colorations have been confirmed: the original red-and-black color scheme (albeit in a more saturated tone), and peachy-orange-and-black. It is claimed that there may be six different versions of Peruvian Cliffjumper all told, with the four others being unique to that market, but no one has been able to find and confirm the others so far.
As with the other Lynsa Minicars, this Cliffjumper is incredibly fragile, with his arms in particular being very prone to breakage. As such, given the rarity of this toy, whatever few copies of it still exist should be handled with exceptional care.
Peruvian company BASA (which eventually changed to HUDE) apparently also (briefly) sold Transformers in Peru, but these were straight imports of Hasbro Mini Vehicles with a company sticker applied to the packaging.

  • Cliffjumper (Keychain Mini-Vehicle, 2001 / 2003 / 2007)
A keychain version of Cliffjumper was released by Fun4All under license from Hasbro in the US in 2001. Though based on the original toy, this is an entirely new set of molds, with a number of small differences throughout (minor proportion differences and generally softer edges), but the most immediately obvious one is the small plastic ring added to the rear bumper to accommodate the chain. The tech-detailing sticker behind his head was replaced by a second Autobot insignia sticker like Hubcap has.
In 2003, Takara released all four of the keychain Minibots (Cliffjumper, Bumblebee, Windcharger, and Brawn) as 7-Eleven exclusives. They came in blind-packed boxes so you don't know which one you got until you open 'er up, plus each one could also come in a "chase" all-black version exclusive to this release. The black deco was later repurposed as an evil clone of Cliffjumper.
All four keychains were re-released in 2007 under the Heroes of Cybertron banner by Basic Fun (Fun4All having gone bankrupt in 2004). Sold on new cardbacks with the Heroes look, these releases are functionally identical to the originals (just the company stamping has changed) except for the actual chain part, which is a different style with an additional black plastic tab attached.
This version of the mold was redecoed to make Tap-Out.


Alternators/Binaltech

  • Cliffjumper
One of the earliest proposals in the Alternators/Binaltech line was for Bumblebee as a Volkswagen New Beetle, with Cliffjumper as the redeco. Unfortunately, VW evidently did not want to be associated with "war toys" at that time, and therefore the design never made it past the control drawing stage. Control drawings for both Bumblebee and Cliffjumper have been published in the Japanese book, The Transformers: Binaltech & TF Collection Complete Guide.

Titanium Series

Prior to the line's cancellation, a 6-inch resin copy depicting a transformable Titanium Series Bumblebee was seen at BotCon 2006. His alternate mode was the saucer-like car seen in Dreamwave's The War Within series, which was based on Bumblebee's Cybertronian vehicle mode in the original cartoon. An alternate head of Cliffjumper was seen as well, indicating a retool. Unfortunately, these never made it into production.

Classics

What goes around...
  • Cliffjumper (Deluxe, 2006/2007)

Released in the third wave of Hasbro's Classics Deluxes, Cliffjumper is a red, silver, gray, and black redeco of the Classics Bumblebee toy, transforming into a small sports coupe of made-up model and towing a small trailer with a non-removable jet-ski. This "Wave Crusher" trailer/jet-ski transforms into a flight-pack that clips onto Cliffjumper's back.
This figure was the first instance of redecoing a Bumblebee toy into Cliffjumper without producing a new head, instead simply recoloring the original Bumblebee head, which would become common procedure for a good handful of Cliffjumper toys to follow. Incidentally, this would also make Classics Cliffjumper into one of the earliest pioneers of "third party" upgrade kits, with various companies producing alternative fan-made replacement heads that more accurately match his original design.
This mold was also used to make Timelines Bug Bite.

Henkei! Henkei!

It's small and inaccurate, but you still want it.

Released in the eighteenth wave of Takara's Henkei! Henkei! toyline, Cliff is a redeco of Universe Legends Class Bumblebee, transforming into a modern hatchback of indeterminate (likely made-up) design. He transforms similarly to, but not exactly as, his Generation 1 toy.
Care must be taken while rolling the vehicle: pushing down while moving the vehicle forward can chip the paint underneath the hip section.
He was only available in a three-piece set with Gong and the inappropriately-included Beachcomber. During the set's initial reveal, the Legends Class Bumblebee toy was in his place (as a placeholder), causing some confusion that Takara will release another Bumblebee toy. And furthermore; Cliff's stock photo features black tires instead of light grey, but it was amended in the packaging art.

Alternity

Part of the fourth wave of Takara's Alternity series, Cliff is a retool of "Bumble [Champion Yellow]" with a new head, transforming into a 1:32-scale licensed Suzuki Swift, featuring die-cast metal parts and rubber tires, as well as an opening hood, trunk and doors.
In robot mode, the figure can hold twin pistols that are normally stored in the legs, and features light-piped eyes.


United

Part of the first wave of Takara's United product, Cliffjumper is a redeco of the Generations War for Cybertron Cliffjumper toy, transforming into a round and compact "Cybertronian courier mode". He comes with a handgun and features two wrist-mounted flip-out blades. The handgun can be stored inside his rear bumper in either mode.
This release features an extensive metallic red paint job (which almost looks magenta under certain lighting conditions) on the car mode panels, and on some of the robot mode's parts (such as the head and forearms), replaces the dark gray plastic of the Hasbro release with a lighter tone, and switches the transparent red paint on the wheels with a more opaque, metallic red. The rear portion of his roof features a more separated paint layout than the black paint of the Generations release, and the base panel his head is on features additional black paint, with both of these giving him a paint layout almost similar to Bumblebee's. In contrast to the final product, early photos of Cliffjumper showed him with pink flip out blades and details rather than yellow, while his packaging stock photography depicts the wheel coverings beside his feet as red instead of light gray.
This mold was retooled from Generations Cybertronian Bumblebee, which was redecoed into United Bumblebee Cybertron Mode.


Generations

  • Cliffjumper (Deluxe, 2012)
Generations Cliffjumper is a retool and minor redeco of Prime: First Edition Cliffjumper, having a new G1-styled head, replacing his red plastic and paint with a darker, metallic shade, and with lighter translucent blue plastic. He transforms into a muscle car that crossbreeds the rear of a Plymouth Barracuda with the front of a Dodge Challenger, and features flip-out triple-barreled blasters in each of his arms that can be swung out to replace his hands. He does have wrist articulation, but the plastic panels on the outer sides of his arms tend to get in the way, meaning his wrists can only easily rotate up to 90 degrees.
Cliffjumper was originally only to be released as part of a big block of toys developed exclusively for release in China and other Hasbro Asia markets (which was myteriously referred to as "GDO"). However, Toys"R"Us picked up the whole lot of figures as part of a massive group of Transformers exclusives for U.S. and Canadian market release, just in time for the 2012 holiday shopping season.


Thrilling 30

Legends Class Cliffjumper is a redeco of the Generations Thrilling 30 Legends Class Bumblebee, transforming from an Earth-style coupe car. He features 5 mm-compatible front wheels, back/roof, and hands.
He comes with Suppressor, a redeco of Generations Thrilling 30 Legends Class Optimus Prime's partner Autobot Roller, and an unchanged version of Optimus's ion blaster, .
Hasbro's original stock photo for the figure depicting a hand-painted prototype shows Cliffjumper lacking the ion blaster. The weapon was erroneously depicted in the concurrently published stock photo for Cliffjumper's wave-mate Nemesis Prime/Spinister two-pack. The card-backs of both two-packs feature edited versions of these photos, with the weapon moved from Nemesis Prime's hand to Cliffjumper's.

Released in the second year of Kre-O product, Kreon Cliffjumper is a buildable brick-based mini-figure, using the same helmet and chest tampographs as the Bumblebee Kreon, but cast in red with his horns painted white. Like most sets in this year, he also comes with a bonus blank clear-blue "energon" torso piece.
He also has a buildable ATV that can be rebuilt into a piece of fiuld artillery.
The set also included a miniatur watchtower, "spike strip", three Kreon Vehicons, and a chunk of an "ultimate Dark Energon weapon" that could be assembled with parts from other sets released that year.

Part of the second assortment of "Custom Kreons", Cliffjumper comes with a buildable parts rack to hang/store his many extra pieces. The plastics of his torso, arms, and legs have a metal-flake sheen, and his similarly-shiny tampographs are lifted from Custom Kreon Bumblebee, rather than being based on the original Cliffjumper toy. His "normal" helmet and long rifle are chromed, plus he comes with an extra clear-plastic helmet, torso and legs. He also has a pair of extra arms (originally from the Kre-O Battleship aliens), plus a buildable sniper-cannon (made with the aformentioned chrome rifle), a buildable double-bladed staff, buildable dual-blaster backpack, and the Wheeljack-style wing-pack.
Though widely solicited, this wave of Custom Kreons ultimately never saw release outside the Hasbro Toy Shop online store and Chinese-market distribution circles.

This version of Cliffjumper has much more detailed toy-based tampographs than his prior versions. Oddly, he's been given a door-wing backpack, despite neither the original toy nor cartoon model having door wings. But hey, spare parts!
He was only available in a San Diego Comic-Con 2014 exclusive pack of 30 Kreons dubbed the "Kreon Class of 1984". The remaining stock was to be sold at Hasbro Toy Shop online, only there was no remaining stock after the show.

Part of the first wave of Bot Shots Series 2 single-packs, Super Bot Cliffjumper is a retool/redeco of Jump Shot Launcher Bumblebee, with a new robot mode. He springs up and automatically transforms from a sports car into a robot armed with a pistol when his front bumper is pressed, and has a "spinner" in his chest that shows his three attack types and power levels. As a "Super Bot", he has more lopsided stats, and is cast in translucent red plastic.
This version of the mold was later redecoed back into another version of Jump Shot Bumblebee.

Part of the first wave of Bot Shots Series 2 three-packs, Flip Shot Cliffjumper is a redeco of Flip Shot Bumblebee, transforming into a muscle car. As a Flip Shot, an impact to the front of his vehicle mode causes him to flip up when autotransforming. He comes in a three-pack with Flip Shot Decepticon Brawl and Super Bot Dirt Boss.


Construct-Bots

Part of the third wave of Construct-Bots Scouts, Cliffjumper is a buildable robo-skeleton that can be augmented with packed-in armor and vehicle pieces, which will allow him to transform into a Cybertronian car. He's cross-compatible with parts from any other Construct-Bots set, allowing you to build up some impressive/weird bots.
Per usual with Cliffjumpers, he uses mostly Bumblebee parts. He includes a recolor of Smokescreen's rifle.


Hero Mashers

Part of the first wave of "Battle Upgrade" Hero Mashers toys, Cliffjumper is represented as a spare forearm that is included with Bulkhead, but does not appear in the line as a complete figure. The arm is a redeco of Bumblebee's.


Transformers (2014)

Just in case you couldn't get the Henkei! 3-pack.
  • Cliffjumper (Legion Class, 2015)
Legion Class Cliffjumper is another redeco of Universe Legends Class Bumblebee, sporting the minor retool with additional pegs to secure the arms more tightly in vehicle mode first used for the 2012 Transformers "Dollar Store" release of the sculpt. Unusually for contemporary figures released as part of this assortment, the figure's deco is notably different from the Henkei! Henkei! version listed above: The gray plastic used for the legs, the crotch and the wheels is replaced with black, the paint operations on the insides of the arms are also changed from gray to black and expanded to cover a section left unpainted on the Henkei version, the front grille is left unpainted, and the windows are tampographed in a slightly different shade.<ref name="2014legion">Review of 2014 Legion Class Cliffjumper at TFW2005, including a comparison with Henkei Cliff.</ref>
Cliffjumper comes in packaging that is based on the packaging design for the concurrently released Combiner Wars-era Generations figures, but replaces the name Generations with "Authentic Transformers". Since Cliffjumper and his wave-mates ship with three figures previously released under what we consider a generic 2014 Transformers toy line, all of them now in the new packaging style, we consider Cliffjumper to be part of that line as well. The package art used for Cliffjumper is recolored from the package art of Generations Thrilling 30 Legends Class Bumblebee, an entirely different sculpt, and was previously also used (in its original colors) for the previous release of the Bumblebee figure this Cliffjumper is redecoed from.
The wave that contained Cliffjumper has been found at Fred's, Gordmans, Dollar General, and Family Dollar stores in the United States, but was available at general retail in Hong Kong and from Australian Target stores.

Q-Transformers

Released in the eighth wave of TakaraTomy's adorable Q-Transformers line of super deformed toys, Cliff is a retool of QT-08 Bumble with a new head, transforming into stumpy little Daihatsu Copen. As a Bumblebee retool, molded detail on his feet evoke a Volkswagen Beetle's hood.

A redeco of Bumblebee, Alt-Modes Cliffjumper is a super deformed toy whose body transforms into a tiny car shaped like the modern version of the Volkswagen Beetle when the Autobot faction symbol on his head is flipped around.
He was blind-boxed, available in two cases of the first series, as well as the only case of the second series.


War for Cybertron: Earthrise

An original Cliffjumper mold? That was retooled into Bumblebee? Scandalous!

After years of mostly being a Bumblebee redeco, Earthrise Cliffjumper is a cartoon-accurate mold (complete with accurate, non-Bumblebee head; although he does have Bumblebee's biceps), while omitting the Penny Racer aesthetic for his vehicle mode, transforming into a 1980s sports coupe that is strongly reminiscent of his original Porsche 924 alt-mode, though with a front end which resembles that of the [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Mitsubishi Starion|{{#if:||Mitsubishi Starion}}]]. Cliffjumper also has molded high-performance brake discs, a surprising detail for a mainline Transformers figure. Like all Deluxe Class figures of the War for Cybertron subline, Cliffjumper includes numerous 3 mm posts and 5 mm ports for attaching other accessories as part of the C.O.M.B.A.T. System, but due to his small size he cannot easily accommodate an entire Weaponizer or Modulator figure. Undocumented in the instructions, Cliffjumper's ball-jointed neck is actually mounted on a hinge, and when popped out of its housing offers a larger range of articulation.
In keeping with his depiction as being rather small in most Transformers media, this figure is much smaller than a typical Deluxe Class and is closer to being a particularly large Legends class-sized figure. The rest of his price-point is made up for with his arsenal, that being a large cannon similar to one he briefly used in "More than Meets the Eye, Part 1", which can split into two smaller blasters and a pair of skis which can attach under his wheels to form the hydrofoils seen in "Dinobot Island, Part 2". The backend of the cannon can fold out to fit in his car mode's underside to help balance when skis are deployed, while also being usable as a melee weapon. It can also mount on either his thigh or on the side or top of his shoulder, meaning you can put the entire cannon in these spots. Similarly, his detaching car trunk can either be put into the robot mode's back or be used as a shield with help of a flip-out peg. This peg and the backend of the cannon use a unique post and port to connect to each other.
The promotional renders and early product samples showcased at conventions showed his weapons and skis being silver, while the final product had them cast in black plastic (with the guns being painted silver except for their handles). The majority of Cliffjumper is molded in black plastic with a generous coating of red paint. His forearms and most of his head appear to be the only pieces molded in red plastic.
Similar to the first release of Starscream from the previous line, Cliffjumper uses the movie variant of the Autobot insignia, rather than the traditional design. Due to the transformation engineering, the insignia is hidden away in robot mode, with no secondary insignia to display.
Like all Earthrise toys, the inside of the back of Cliffjumper's package includes an exclusive clip-and-save piece of a larger star map. Also in the box is a thin red piece of transparent plastic with which to read the star map. Cliffjumper's piece of the map contains a labeled entry point to the "DEAD UNIVERSE".
His glass gas blaster was sold separately as part of the War for Cybertron Trilogy Deluxe Centurion Drone Weaponizer Pack.
In Japan, Cliffjumper was a TakaraTomy Mall exclusive.
Cliffjumper was retooled with a new head into Generations Selects Hubcap and Bug Bite, Shattered Glass Collection Goldbug, Buzzworthy Bumblebee Bumblebee, and more extensively retooled into War for Cybertron Trilogy Bumblebee, a reverse to the traditional norm.

Masterpiece

Begining in July 2021, prototypes, both test shots and pre-production samples, of a Masterpiece Cliffjumper toy began to enter the aftermarket. The design is a heavy retool of MP-45 Bumble (Ver. 2.0), only retaining the legs, hands, and certain internal structural components. Based on what has been found across the varying prototypes, this figure was to have included at least one alternative face (which featured him smiling), the bazooka that he used in "More than Meets the Eye, Part 1", and the Photon rifle he wielded in "Transport to Oblivion" and "Traitor".
To date, neither Takara nor Hasbro have commented on this figure, nor has there ever been a retailer listing found. In the years following this Cliffjumper's sudden appearance, a handful of rumors have popped up that may explain the reasons for its cancellation. One particularly notable rumor is the idea that the mold was lost (alongside the molds for his moldmate Bumblebee, MP-44 Convoy Ver.3.0, and MP-47 Hound) after Takara pulled out of the factory that was to produce it, due to the severe QC issues that plagued Hound. This particular theory has been backed by the fact that neither MP-45 nor MP-47 have seen any kind of reissue or redeco, and the redecos of MP-44 have minor molding differences and heavily lack in accessories.
It has also been speculated that, like the unreleased Alternators Jazz, this Cliffjumper remains in limbo because Porsche denied the license at the time the prototype was produced. However, several factors make this unlikely. Unlike Alternators Jazz, Takara had produced the molds required for this figure, and was seemingly well into pre-production before the figure's cancellation. If Takara were to have required the Porsche license, it is highly unlikely that they would have reached this point before acquiring it, as the tooling costs alone would be staggering. There is also the fact that later Cliffjumper figures that use the Penny Racer styled altmode, such as Missing Link Cliff, are unlicensed, casting doubt on the idea that Takara would have felt the need to license this equally cartoonish, and somewhat generic, approximation of his Porsche 924 altmode. The prototypes themselves are also lacking in any kind of Porsche branding, a rarity for licensed figures.

Buzzworthy Bumblebee

Released in the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line as part of the Studio Series line up, Cliffjumper is a redeco of the Earthrise toy above, replacing the translucent windshield with light blue opaque plastic and giving him the cartoon-accurate gray and black arms and legs. Unlike the original Earthrise figure Cliffjumper is (mostly) cast in his intended colors as opposed to being made of black plastic painted red, greatly reducing the risk of paint chipping and scratching the original suffered from (mind the forearms, though). He now also sports two Autobot insignia; one on his hood, the other on his roof. Both insignia use the Generation 1 design, rather than the live-action film design that the Earthrise toy had. Additionally, Cliffjumper's bazooka has been repainted into a metallic blue to emulate the original animation.
Both the early stock images used on retail websites and stock renders on the back of the box, show Cliffjumper's windows cast in transparent blue plastic.

The Masterpiece prototype dies so the Missing Link toy could walk.

Commemorating the 40th anniversary of The Transformers brand, Missing Link Cliff is a direct recreation of the original The Transformers figure. Like said original figure, Cliff re-uses the same basic transformation scheme as his wave-mate, Missing Link Bumble, this time by way of being a direct retool of Bumble; per TakaraTomy's product description, Cliff uses roughly 80% new tooling to give Cliff his distinct "penny-racer" style Porsche 924 alt-mode. Like the rest of the Missing Link line, Cliff takes advantage of modern toy engineering advances to give his mechanics a notable overhaul, enabling much more articulation compared to the original, including shoulders, elbows, knees, "neck" rotation, outward leg motion, and an ankle tilt.
Cliff also comes with two shiny metallic weapons: in addition to a Photon rifle (being the weapon he held in "Transport to Oblivion" and "Traitor", itself reused from Jazz's model, rather than simply reusing Bumble's pistol) he also has a bazooka, directly modeled after the one seen in "More than Meets the Eye, Part 1". Also packed in with Cliff are a collector's card and a sticker sheet, which lets you choose to display Cliff with either the standard Autobot insignia or the noticeably stretched version seen on his original package art. Like all other Missing Link releases, Cliff and all his pack-ins are neatly inserted in a polystyrene tray.
Missing Link Cliff was officially revealed in early May 2024, and shortly afterward went up for pre-order on Japanese retail sites for a November 2024 release.
Unlike Bumble who is licensed, Cliff does not feature a Porsche logo on the back of the packaging.

Missing Link "Cliff (Anime Type)" is a cartoon-accurate redeco of the above figure, with blue eyes, gray limbs, and transparent blue windshields. He features a rubsign on the bottom of his right foot. Cliff comes with his rifle and bazooka, now light gray instead of chromed, and a collector card.
Cliff (Anime Type) only comes in the "Cybertron Hero Set" alongside the similarly changed Bumble (Anime Type).

The second (technically) Studio Series Cliffjumper is a retool of the line's 86-29 Bumblebee, transforming into a Penny Racer-proportioned approximation of a Porsche 924 Carrera GTR like his original toy and cartoon appearances. He comes with a blaster based on one he uses in the episode "Traitor" (itself reused from Mirage's model), that can be pegged onto the back of both modes.
Like Bumbleblee, Cliffjumper ends up with two Autobot insignia—one in the middle of his roof (cartoon-accurate for robot mode) and one off-centre on the hood (accurate for vehicle mode), and his windows are black instead of a screen-accurate blue to maintain consistency with portions of the windows that are made of black unpaintable plastic, though this does make the vehicle mode more closely resemble the original toy. Unfortunately, the limitations of the mold layout also result in the black and light grays of his pelvis and legs being inverted compared to his cartoon design, while his gray shoulder hinges noticeably stand out against his red vehicle mode. Curiously, his render shows him with a unique black pelvis part not seen on any previous use of the mold, although the final physical toy uses the Bumblebee crotch tooling.
Cliffjumper was revealed on April 24, 2026. This mold was also used to make Age of the Primes Bumper.

Happy Meal Toy

Non-poseable, non-transforming figurines of Cliffjumper and three of his Mini-Vehicle chums (Bumblebee, Gears and Brawn) made up the very first line of Transformers Happy Meal toys. Alas, the figures did not see a full release, and were only test-marketed in St. Louis, Missouri. The two-tone figures were available in a variety of colour variations, with at least six different combinations for each of the four characters: in addition to his traditional red and black, Cliffjumper is known to have been available in green and black, blue and black, blue and red, black and red, and cyan and black.


Transformers Milk Caramel

A soft rubber figurine—known in Japan as a keshigomu—of Cliffjumper was released as part of the first wave of Kabaya's earliest candy toy line, Transformers Milk Caramel. Based more on his toy than his animation model, Cliffjumper came packaged with chocolate-covered caramel candies, and was available in various colours, including white, blue, sky blue, yellow, green, and orange.

Estrela

  • Jogo dos Transformers (1985)
A tiny generic red car representing "Carrera" (Cliffjumper per his original toy name in Brazil) was included as a pawn in Estrela's Jogo dos Transformers board game. He is not directly named, simply being called the "carrinho vermelho" (little red car) in the game's instructions, but his identity is revealed as a pair of cards featuring art of his original toy in vehicle mode are also included. He comes with a small sticker that's placed on the bottom of the car representing his robot mode, thus allowing him to roughly "transform" by being placed vertically - a little bit like what Robot Powered Machines would do about a pair of decades later.
This same car was recolored to represent Volks (AKA Bumblebee), Camaro (AKA Windcharger), and Sedan in the same board game.

Cliffjumper was among the many characters rendered by Takara as part of their series of 1.5" keshigomu figurines. Like all the Autobots in the series, Cliffjumper was molded in soft red rubber, and featured a number sculpted into his back that was the sum total of his Tech Specs, for use in the various games that could be played with the figurines. Cliffjumper was available as part of a 9-piece box set of Autobot figures, as a playing piece in the Defeat Dinosauruer Strategy Game and later, in a peach coloration randomly packed as part of various other box sets.

The Cliffjumper figurine was later brought over to Hasbro markets as part of the Decoy promotion, largely identical to the Japanese release except for the fact that the number on his back was replaced with a simple "checklist" number (28, in Cliffjumper's case). Cliffjumper is a red, gray and black redeco of the Robot Heroes Bumblebee figure, with swivel articulation at the neck and shoulders.
He was initially only available in the Walmart-exclusive "Decepticon Sneak Attack" five-pack, along with "Supermetal" versions of Optimus Prime and Megatron, Hologram Mirage, and Skywarp.

Mini-Bust

Released by Diamond Select Toys in 2008, Cliffjumper was sculpted by Mark Wong of Art Asylum and limited to 1,000 pieces. The sculpt features Cliffjumper holding the gun he was seen using in "More than Meets the Eye, Part 1". However, this version omits the stabilizing struts that were present in the episode. This bust is also notable for being the first new mold G1 Cliffjumper has received since his Decoy in 1987, a period of over twenty years!

Part of the initial assortment of Tiny Titans blindpacks, this version of Cliffjumper is a very small, minimally-painted soft-plastic figure of him aiming a ridiculously large blaster, calling back to the scene from "More than Meets the Eye, Part 1".
He includes a collectible card that, interestingly, renders him in the 2015 Robots in Disguise styling. The card includes a scan-badge for the Robots in Disguise mobile game, which unlocks a random amount of Energon "currency" and a randomized bonus power-up item.

Threezero

A new-head retool of Threezero's MDLX Bumblebee, Cliffjumper is an original design taking inspiration from the original cartoon but with the aesthetics in the vein of the live-action movies. Cliffjumper is a smaller scaled non-transforming action figure in the vein of contemporary collector-oriented lines like Figma and S.H. Figuarts. Like those lines, the figure is extremely well-articulated and detailed, features interchangeable hands and heads, with the alternate visored face specifically resembling Bumblebee's G1 toy. The three pairs of hands he comes with are relaxed splayed-open hands, closed fists, and posed hands meant to hold his included Laser Blaster (which in turn is based on Bumblebee's pistol used in the cartoon). His back tire is also removable.
While stock photos (at right) show him with the standard Autobot insignia, the final product uses the movie variant instead.
In the Unites States, he is a PX Previews exclusive.

Mochibots Transformers Plush

Created under the line of small, cuddly little 'bots, Mochibots Cliff is a 5.5 Inch tall, stylized version of the character, featuring rounded shapes and chubbier proportions to make a stuffed representation of Cliffjumper's Sunbow Cartoon Animation model, complete with a circle on the back representing his spare tire. Every detail is made via sewn-on detail, which provides added texture to the finished product, though, as a result, the Autobot insignia seems to be squinting. Cliff's eyes and window detailing are made from a special, sparkly fabric which shimmers a little under light.
Cliffjumper was released as part of the first wave of Mochibots plush toys, alongside Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Shattered Glass Optimus Prime in 2023. This line was exclusive to China and Japan, with almost all of them being locked to Asia via amiami's storefront.


Blokees

Released in the second wave of Galaxy Version line of blind boxes, Blokees Cliffjumper is a roughly 4-inch tall, highly-articulated, and non-transforming snap-on model kit of the Autobot scout. He is built on a "Standard Body" skeleton shared with other Blokees figures in the line, but with different body pieces to make them distinct. As advertised in the box, Cliffjumper has a pull rate of 1 in every 9 boxes, or three times across four cases.
Cliffjumper comes with a pair of closed and open hands, an Autobot pistol, a translucent Energon Cube, and a pair of Autobot/Decepticon insignias that can be plugged onto either of the peg holes. The barrel of the pistol is compatible with the blast effects included with other Galaxy Version kits. Cliffjumper also comes with a stand with four studs on top, which he can be plugged into and connected to similar stands.

Released in the first wave of Blokees' Shining Version line, this version of the Galaxy Version Cliffjumper kit now features painted translucent eye and chest parts, and a torso frame that lights up upon shaking (or at least just lightly tap some areas on the torso), causing the eyes and the chest window to glow for a limited time. Cliffjumper comes with a bazooka (complete with blast effect) instead of a pistol, a single Energon Cube decoed in purple, and a new, larger figure stand.

Sold as part of Blokees' 7th wave of Defender Version blind-boxed kits, this Cliffjumper (in his Robot Mode) is a 2.2-inch (5.5 cm) figure, a few inches smaller than the Galaxy/Shining Version kits, but still articulated. He also comes with the same blaster introduced in the fifth wave.
This wave (the global version) was first released in Korea's official Blokees Store, before it was available in China and globally.

Kotobukiya Bishoujo Series

Kotobukiya Bishoujo Series Cliffjumper is a repaint and retool of Bumblebee from the same line of PVC figures. Beyond just swapping out Bumblebee's various yellows for Cliffjumper's usual reds, the statue has a new face and the right arm is posed in a flex rather than at her side like the previous figure.
Like Bumblebee, Cliffjumper is attached to a red display base designed after the Autobot insignia.
The figure was a limited release, only available via Kotobukiya's website and at specific events, such as the 2024 Anime Expo convention.

Sold as part of Auldey's "Alpha Action Elite (AAE)" series of blindboxes, this Cliffjumper is a roughly 2-inch non-transforming but highly articulated action figure. Aside from the extra pairs of open-palm hands, Cliffjumper comes with his signature Bazooka and a back tire piece that the buyer must assemble.
Cliffjumper is released as a 2-pack with Kickback and Laserbeak, while coming with his trading card. As advertised in the box, the lineup had a 12/72 probability of getting the 2-pack.


Yolopark

Sold as part of the second wave of Yolopark's AMK (Advanced Model Kit) Mini line, this Cliffjumper kit is, despite sharing appearances with the previous line's Bumblebee, an entirely new tooling. He can only be completed by snapping the pre-painted pieces together. Aside from an extra pair of splayed-open-hand parts, Cliffjumper comes with his signature Bazooka. As with the rest of the kits starting from this wave, he also features some updated articulation points, particularly the double-sided ball-and-socket joint at the waist.
The gray waist piece appears to be pre-lubricated from inside the socket joint, likely to allow for smoother movement.
Cliffjumper is sold as either an individually marked single or a blind box figure. The latter lineup had a 19/120 probability of getting him.

  • The Microman Micro Change toy that would become Cliffjumper was also available in light blue. To date, this deco has never been used in Transformers outside of Mexico.
  • Though often a straight redeco of Bumblebee in non-Japanese countries, there has yet to be a Cliffjumper produced by TakaraTomy that is a straight redeco of the same line's Bumblebee.
